Psalm126:1-6
It was said among the nations,”The Lord has done great things for them”. The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.
Restore out four uses, Lord, like streams in the Negev. Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.
This psalm is often associated with the return from exile and the hardships that followed.
Express the people’s exuberant joy at God’s blessing.
The need to experience this yet again (or a prayer for the restoration of the nation as a whole)
For most of the year the river-beds in the southern desert are dry, but when the rain comes the water rushes down them in torrents.
Why?
God is the only one to do the great things for us. Expect great thing from God is true.
Sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. So do not worry about the difficult situation now but do our best to sow the seed of gospel and good thing, God will let it grow and we will reap with songs of joy, will carrying sheaves with them.
God is good, my hope and my blessing is in the hand of the Lord!
How?
When we are living with God-centered, God’s blessing will around us.

Trust in the Lord are like mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever
Psalm 125:1-5
Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever.
As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people both now and forevermore.
The scepter of the wicked will not remain over the land allotted to the righteous, for then the righteous might use their hands to do evil.
Lord, do good to those who are good, to those who are upright in heart.
But those who turn to rooked ways the Lord will banish with the evildoers.
Those who trust in God enjoy unshakable security, solid as the Temple hill itself. The wicked will not always have the upper hand. Let them be warned!
Why?
Trust in the Lord will not be shaken by the world, by people, by trouble for they have faith and strength from the Lord. And God’s mercy and grace be with them.
As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, how great it is to be God’s people.
When God be our center in our life, God will protect us, surrounding us all the time and places we are going.
How?
Focus on the Lord and let God be center of my life.

Out help is in the name of the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth
Luke 124:1-8
If the Lord had not been on our side - let Israel say they would have swallowed us alive when their anger flared against us. The raging waters would have swept us away.
Praise be to the Lord, who has not let us be torn by their teeth. We have escaped like a bird from the fowler’s snare.
Our help is in the name of the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
If God had not been on our side... The consequences are unthinkable. For without God’s help the nation could not have survived the onslaught of their enemies. The credit is God’s alone. (How true this was in Israel’s history, over and over again.
Why?
For the anger of the Lord to Israel forsaken the Lord, God let Israel’s enemies came and attacked them. When they return to the Lord, God helped them. But they let this history happened over and over again.
Same as we are always forget God’s grace and turn to the world. Let turn to the Lord and look on the Lord, God is my savior and my fortress.
Outside enemy are easy to identify but inside heart is uneasy sensed turn away from the Lord.
How?
Praise the Lord and focus on God, may the Holy Spirit always be with me and remind me!

I lift my eyes on you, have mercy on us; Psalm 123
Psalm 123:1-4
I lift up my eyes to you,to you who sit enthroned in heaven.
As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a female slave look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God, till he shows us his mercy.
Have mercy on us, Lord, have mercy on us, for we have endured no end of contempt.
We have endured no end of ridicule from the arrogant, of contempt from the proud.
The appeal is to God, who cares for those the rich treat with contempt. Verse 1 is a single voice; then the group speaks.
Why?
We are living among arrogant and proud, they contempt and ridicule us. How long we endure these? So asked mercy from the Lord.
God has his time and his way, we should love our neighbor.
Lift up my eyes to you, O Lord, have mercy on us.
How?
No matter what happened lift up my eyes to Jesus, the Lord, and ask mercy on us.

For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, “Peace be within you.”
Psalm 120:1-9, 122:1-9
I call on the Lord in my distress, and he answers me. Save me, O Lord, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues.
Too long have I lived among those who hate peace. I am a man of peace; but when I speak, they are for war.
Jerusalem is built like a city that is closely compacted together.
There stand the thrones for judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you be secure.
For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, “Peace be within you.”
For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your prosperity.
Hebrew title, 'by David'. The pilgrim prays for the peace of the city, the center of worship and seat of government for the whole nation.
V8 refers to his fellow-countrymen living in the city.

Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord; Psalm 121
Psalm 121:1-8
Lift up my eyes to the hills - where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
The Lord watches over you - the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm - he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
Those who trust God know where to turn in trouble. With God to guard them they can come to no harm.
Hills/mountain: they may signify(表示) danger, or the reference may be to the Temple hill and God's presence.
Why?
Trust in the God know where to turn in trouble.
And God will protect us where we coming and going.
God's protection, keep us from harm all day long and forever if we trust in the Lord.
How wonderful to be son of the Lord!

Repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations
Luke 24:44-53
He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”
人要奉他的名傳悔改、赦罪的道,從耶路撒冷起直傳到萬邦
When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them. While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven.
Then they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy. And they stayed continually at the temple, praising God.
Everything written about Jesus in the scriptures has been fulfilled. Now those who have witnessed these things must go out and tell the world that because of Jesus' suffering they can be forgiven. Jesus return to heaven closes Luke's chapter o his life on earth.
Luke compresses events. As he makes clear in his sequel -Acts - the ascension took place 40 days later.
Why?
Jesus has done his mission God send him come to the world to give good news to us.
We need to preach repentance for the forgiveness of sins in Jesus name to all nations.
How?
Dear Lord, please let me be a missionary of Gospel, to preach your good news to the world.
