3 John 1:9-15
Diotrephes who loves to be first, will call attention to what he is doing, gossiping maliciously about u. Not satisfied with that, he refuses to welcome the brothers. He also stops those who want to do so and puts them out of the church.
Do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.
Demetrius is well spoken of by everyone - and even by the truth itself. We also speak well of him, and you now that our testimony is true.
Diotrephes is damaging John's own character, suppressing his letter, spreading lies, hugging his own position as leader and hindering missionary outreach.
The third character in the letter, Demetrius, may have been John's messenger (there being no postal service). This man's life speaks for itself. He richly deserves the high regard in which John holds him.
A letter is a poor substitute for personal contact. John longs to come soon to see his friend and have a good, long talk.
Why?
Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God, for there is not love in him, and he refuse to obey God's command.
Love to be first is evil for they like competition to be the first, like the higher position, like more power to order others and gain the good name. It is proud in himself.
Best Christian is humble and like to serve others, love one another.
How?
Imitate the good, be humble and server others with love!

Show hospitality to God's servant is work together for the truth
3 John 1:1-8
Faithfulness to the truth and how your continue to walk in the truth.
It was for the sake of the Name that they went out, receiving no help from the pagans.
We ought therefore to show hospitality to such men so that we may work together for the truth.
This is a personal letter from the Elder to his friend Gaius. The name was a common on at the time, and there is noting to connect this Gaius with any of the others mentioned in the New Testament. If tradition is anything to go by, he may have been a leader of the church at Pergamum. More importantly, Gaius was a man who 'lived in the truth'. His life and conduct are in striking contrast to that of another local leader, Diotrephes. Gaius, a man of integrity, is doing all in his power to help his fellow Christians, especially the travelling evangelists and teachers who depended on Christian hospitality and support.
Why?
Gaius show hospitality to missionary for God was traveler in the world, he give all to us, so we obey his command and continue his mission to preach gospel. Christian walk in the truth should give help to the missionary as we can for we received good news free.
No only worship God or doing work in church is spiritual service to the Lord, but show hospitality is work together for the truth, work for the Lord.

Deceiver! Antichrist!
2 John 1:7-13
Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world.
Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.
Christ's teaching is the test by which to judge visiting teachers. Those who 'go beyond' it cannot be from God.
John is combating(打擊) the same sort of trouble here as in his first letter. From the start of the Christian mission there had been travelling evangelists and teachers, usually responsible to one of the apostles, who were given hospitality by the local churches.
The time has come to tighten up. Those whose teaching contradicts the fundamental truth about Jesus Christ should not be made welcome.
John looks forward to a visit. There is so much more to be said than he can put in writing. The 'children of your dear sister' are presumable members of John's own church.
Why?
Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh is very important, because Jesus shade his blood, he suffered as our's and Jesus resurrection from the dead. All of this are based on Jesus came to world in flesh.
If he who does not acknowledge Jesus Chris as coming in the flesh, his teaching are different from us, so he is not welcome to us.
How?

Love in the truth and love one another
2 John 1:1-6
To the chosen lady and her children, whom I love in the truth - and not I only, but also all who know the truth.
Grace, mercy and peace from God the father and from Jesus Christ, the Father's Son, will be with us in truth and love.
John ask that we love one another. And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. His command is that you walk in love.
Unlike 1 John, 2 and 3 John are 'real letters, each long enough to be accommodated on a standard size sheet of papyrus and conforming to the letter-writing pattern of the time'. There is little doubt that 1,2 and 3 John are the work of one author, most likely the apostle John or a close disciple of his.
2 John, like 1 John, warns against false teachers, encourages the readers to hold to the truth, and focuses on a favorite theme: Jesus 'command that those who follow him should love one another. To love others a Jesus loves us means keeping God's commands. For Christians, love and truth go hand in hand.
Why?
Walk in love and it is truth which is the command from Jesus Christ. To be his follower we should love one another.

Because of love so I devote myself to love others and help them as I can.

We know for a certainty
1 John 5:14-21
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
If anyone sees his brother commit a sin that does not lead to death, he should pray and God will give him life.
All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death.
We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the one who was born of God keeps him safe, and the veil one cannot harm him.
We are in him who is true - even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
Keep away form idols!
The false teachers loved to talk about knowledge. John makes his own list of thing 'we know' for a certainty.
Having set out the certainties, John urges his readers in closing: 'Do not abandon the real for the illusory(虛幻)'
A sin that does lead to death is does not accept Jesus is Son of God and does not commit his sins.
Why?
Because born of God know what is right and evil, God is love, so would not continue to sin. If does sin it is against the Lord, against his faith.
Pray according to God's will for it is pleased to God. Instead of my will.
There is no excuse to sins, there is not caused by spiritual and flesh body. Christian is knowing the true that 'Born of God will not continue to sin.'
How?
Pray to the Lord let me keep away from sin and commit my sin before the Lord.

Faith that overcome the world
1 John 5:4-13
For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
For there are three that testify: the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.
Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
Faith is what 'overcomes the world'.
God himself stands witness that Jesus is his Son. 'To believe is life, to disbelieve is death'.
John is writing to those who do believe, that they may know for certain that eternal life is theirs.
Why?

Faith is knew the blessing from the Lord and the promise in eternal life. Faith is shown in the life not only in the word.
How?
I believe that Jesus is son of God, so I have the eternal life and I know that the blessing of the Lord is with me.

He has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.
By loving God and carrying out his commands.
This is love for God: to obey his commands.
Love and obedience are bound up together.
Faith is what brings us into God's family. To love God is to share God's nature and to love others. Love for God makes obedience natural, not burdensome.
Why?
We can not see the God, but we can see our brothers, if we can not love brothers, how can we love the unseen God. It will be a liar.
Faith bring us into God's family, into the church. To love god is to share God's love, God's nature to others so we have to love others for God has loved us.
How?
Trust in the reality love one another, do not talk about the virtual matter. Show the love to others.

There is no fear in love
1 John 4:11-18
No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment.
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
God is light - and God is live. He showed his ove for us in sending his Son to bring us forgiveness and new life.
The proof that we really share his life - his nature - is the love we show towards others. John has touched on this already in chapter 2: here he looks at it from all angels.
If we love and obey God, we need not dread the day of judgment.
Why?
Perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. Love overcome the fear. Love is strength.

Recognize the spirit of truth
1 John 4:1-6
To dear friends:
How to recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God.
To children
Because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
John sets one basic test by which to judge any teacher - he must recognize that Jesus Christ came as a human being. He is not ignoring the equally essential recognition of Jesus as Son of God. But it was Jesus 'humanity that the heretics(異端) of John's day denied.
So they cannot possibly come with a message from God. Because we belong to God, John says, we can tell truth from error.
Why?
There are many false spirits came from the world, so when we acknowledge the truth, then we can know the false spirit.
Obey the word of God and believe Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God. So flesh is not evil but live out the honor of God in me.
How?
Live out the image of God in the world to honor his Holy name.

1 John 3:16-24
Let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.
This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than out hearts, and he know everything.
To believe in the name of his son Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.
Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.
This love is not just talk. It expresses itself in sacrifice and self-giving. And it will touch our pockets!
If our conscience is clear on this score, we can approach God with confidence. He answers the prayers of those who obey him.
God commands us to believe that the Jesus of history is in fact the Son of God, the Christ - and to love one another as Jesus commanded. Those who do so 'live in him, and he in them'. We know it by his gift of the Spirit.
Our conscience accuses us justly. But our conscience is by no means infallible(絕對可靠); its condemnation may often be unjust. We can, therefore, appeal from our conscience to God, who... knows everything... Stronger than any chemical tranquilizer is trust in out all knowing God.
Why?
Love in action is the expression of love in truth. Love in word and tongue is nothing at all. For Christ sacrificed his life for us.
Two commands to obey:1)believe in the name of his son Jesus Christ, 2)to love one another. For we are live in Him and He is in my by Spirit.

He is not a child of God who does not do what is right and doe not love his brother.
Do not be surprised if the world hates you.
We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers.
Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him.
The difference between 'God's children and the devil's children' is that 'the devils children' do not do what is right, or love others.
The message 'heard from the very beginning' is that God's people must love one another. What does that mean? John tells us plainly: 'This is how we know what love is: Christ gave his life for us!'
Why?
Love each other because God gave his life for us. We are children of God so we should follow what Jesus has done.
Love brothers is the message from beginning, it is belong to the gospel from the beginning we heard.
Because I felt the love among fellowship so I like come to church and attending fellowship in church.

Children of God be pure and righteous
1 John 3:1-9
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!
The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.
He who does what is right is righteous, jut as he is righteous.
The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work.
No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God.
The child of God shares God's own nature. It is against that nature - out of character - to live a life of sin, to go on breaking God's law deliberately and habitually (the tenses of the verbs in the Greek make a distinction between this and the particular one-off sins referred to in 1:10)
Why?
When we are born of God, we will purifies ourselves and do the righteous as His is.
Everyone is sinner but God will erase our sins when we turn to Him, and God's seed remain in us, then we will know what is right and what is evil thing. We have the capability do the righteous and away from the evil. Conscious will remind us.
Erase the habitually sins should turn to the Lord, confess our sins and pray to the Lord help us away from sins.
How?
Away confess sins in me, Pray to the Lord forgive me and give me strength and spirit to get rid of sins. For I am children of God!
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!
The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.
He who does what is right is righteous, jut as he is righteous.
The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work.
No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God.
The child of God shares God's own nature. It is against that nature - out of character - to live a life of sin, to go on breaking God's law deliberately and habitually (the tenses of the verbs in the Greek make a distinction between this and the particular one-off sins referred to in 1:10)
Why?
When we are born of God, we will purifies ourselves and do the righteous as His is.

Remain in the Son and in the Father
1 John 2:24-29
See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father.
As for you the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things.
Dear children, continue in him. If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him.
The early Christians were taught that an arch-enemy of Christ - the embodiment of evil - would come on the scene when the Lord's return was imminent. John sees many Antichrists already on the scene (false teachers, once within the church, who deny that the man Jesus was the Messiah and Son of God). These early manifestations of the Great Evil are a sign that the time is near.John comforts his readers that they are different. They know the truth. They have God' Holy Spirit to teach them. If they stay with the message they have heard, they will stay with the Son and the Father - which means eternal life.
Anointing/poring: John refers to the discernment the Holy spirit gives to Christians. He is talking about false teachers, not saying the Christians have no need of teaching.
Why?

You have an anointing from the Holy One
1 John 2:18-23
Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many Antichrist have come.
You have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth.
They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us.
No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
Why?
Those who deny Jesus are not belong to us, who are Antichrist. For Jesus is son of God.
Knowing the truth then we may identify who is belong to us. The truth is Jesus is the son of God.
New teaching is not truth, although it seems new, but new is not truth. Do not pursue the knowledge only but the Holy Spirit and the Jesus Christ.
How?

The man who does the will of God lives forever
1 John 2:12-17
John write to children, fathers, young men, for they have overcome the evil one, for their sins have been forgiven on account of his name. For they have known him who is from the beginning.
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.
At this point John digresses. First he speaks to the church. His 'children', 'fathers','young men', reflect three stages in spiritual growth or maturity.
From the church he turns to the world, which Christians must not love. John characterizes the world as humanity at loggerheads with God, self-centered, proud, acquisitive: the whole evil system. To love the world is to accept its values and attitudes. But this world is destined to end.

Compare to the 'Gnosticism' proclaimed the flesh and spirit, but John mentioned things of God and the world. Real spiritual matter is not mysterious things or knowledge, but live out the life in God's word.
How?
What should I give up on the world in me? Live out the life of God.

To know is to obey
1 John 2:1-11
Says,"I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys his word, God's love is truly made complete in him.
This old command is the message you have heard.
Yet I am writing your a new command; its truth is seen in him and you, because the darkness is passing and the true light is already shining.
Claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness. Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble.
People walks around in the darkness, because the darkness has blinded him.
What is more, we have Jesus - the one through whom we are forgiven - to plead our cause.
How can we be sure that we really know God? To know is to obey. So the first test is obedience. If we obey God's commands, if we live as Jesus did, we can be sure.
The second test is love. living in Gods light means keeping the old-and-new command to love one another (the 'new commandment' Jesus gave his disciples- John 13:34 - which John knows these Christians have already been taught).
Why?
Really knowing Jesus is obedience to his command. This is the qualify of believing in Jesus.
Second command is love: old command is love God and love others as love us. New command is love our brothers.
Let the real light shine on others around me, love others and love my brothers, care their needs.
How?
Show love of Jesus from me to others, love others as Jesus loves me. Obedience and Love is the two characters of a real Christian.

God is light; in him there is no darkness at all
1 John 1:5-10
God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
Walk in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
If we confess ours sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us out sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
What is the message? First, that 'God is light'. This is the light that generates life and dispels darkness. Anyone who claims 'fellowship' or communion with God yet lives 'in the dark' is telling a lie. But to say we ever sin is equally false. If we live in the light we will recognize and confess ou sins. God can be relied on to keep his promise of forgiveness and cleansing.
Why?

1 John was written to counter some early form of 'Gnosticism' being propounded by people who were once church members, but had now withdrawn from the group. They linked to think of themselves as intellectuals - processing a superior knowledge of God. Contrary to the traditional Jewish and Christian holistic view of the world, they drew a line between the spiritual (good) ad the material(evil). In practice this often led to immorality, because nothing the body did could tarnish the purity of the spirit. It also led to a denial of Christ's human nature, which was either 'make-believe' or only temporary. They reasoned that Christ, being spirit, could not have died.
How?
Confess my sin, Jesus Christ may save us and forgives us sin, then we may fellowship with God and others in light.

The Word of life make our joy complete, 1 John 1:1-4
1 John 1:1-4
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. We write this to make our joy complete.
John's theme is 'the word of life'. At the beginning of his Gospel John spoke of the person who is God;s word of life: Jesus Christ, someone John actually knew, Here too he speaks of his own experience: this living embodiment of God's word could be seen and touched. The word is both a person and a message: the two are inseparable. John had seen God's message of eternal life in Christ, had heard it from him, and now he joyfully declared it with a confidence born of certainty.
Why?
Jesus Christ is God and he became a man came to this world, John saw Him, heart Him and touched Him. It is truth, his word is the Word of life.
We also may have fellowship with Jesus Christ like John does.
John wrote this letter purpose is to make out joy complete, no doubt, no fear.
How?
Jesus is in my life so we may appear his life in me, to do good witness to honor God's name. I should be joy in my life.

前言：
我們受洗後就領受神的恩典，最好立刻死去，因為如果沒有行在主的道路上，可能福分會被奪去。
思想：
1.恩賜 被奪去 。五個童女有迎接主人的職分卻失去了，1000兩的僕人，1000兩都被奪去給那5000兩的。說我還沒有預備好，不，當主要用時，沒有預備好，已經失去機會了。
2.立約 被奪去 （所羅門、以利）蔑視和神的關係。所羅門11支派被拿走，只留下一個支派。以利本來神應許他和他父家，服事在主面前到永遠，結果被奪走了。
3. 應許 被奪去。 （猶大、掃羅）猶大本來在耶穌旁邊，但是魔鬼占據他的心，最後連大祭司也知道他犯了罪。

人不可自憐，不可自大，要選擇最好的福分
1.馬大伺候主的時候，心裏忙亂 留下我一個人伺候?
人自憐、悲情就引發苦毒
以利亞-只剩我一人
大兒子-我服事你這麼多年

要看神的恩典，不要以為不公平。現在生活在平安的環境中，不是許多先知他們日夜祈求的嗎？
教會當初是我們捐獻建造的多你們來只是享受成果?難道不是更早的先祖遺留的嗎？為何不看如今有更多的人進入教會得蒙恩典? 好的領導人是因為我在所以部門都興盛。我一早就來花了許多時間，學會一個方法更有效，可以教比較晚來的，節省他們時間，提高效率。老板更喜歡這樣子的員工。
2.人的自大。常說“你應該...做”，很多人的心態。
大兒子： 你這個兒子和娼妓吞盡了你的財產
眾門徒： 何用這樣的枉費?
法利賽人： 這人若是先知，必知道他是誰? 是個怎樣的人，乃是罪人。
我進來時沒有人為我洗腳，這婦人用眼淚幫我洗腳，沒有人吻我歡迎我，她用嘴親我的腳。神看我們的態度。不要以為我對，神不知道。是我們搞不清楚。
3.馬利亞已經選擇那上好的福分， 是不能奪去的。
聽他的道，我不明白，但是我還願意跟隨
羅得的選擇，金牛犢的位置選擇、迦密山的不選擇。
不選擇就是選擇，莫稜兩可

兩個禮物： 日子長久加上平安，不是聰明，而是走智慧的道路。主的恩典臨到，不是我能做什麼? 是神的恩惠臨到。教會從一億五千萬貨款到如今剩下三百萬。我們沒有向外募款。

挑戰：
1.凡有的，還要加給他，叫他有餘；凡沒有的，連他所有的，也要奪去。（ 太13:12）

Building our faith
Jude 1:20-25
But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.
Be merciful to those who doubt; save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.
Why?
Building faith,praying in Holy Spirit and keep in God's love. For our life need to be built step by step. Praying without Holy Spirit is noncence talk.

In the last times there will be scoffers
Jude 1:14-19
These men are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage.
Jesus said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.”
These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.
A question from the apocryphal Book of Enoch. Jude takes his illustrations from books he and his readers know and respect, as well as from the scriptures themselves. apocryphal: (of a story or statement) of doubtful authenticity(真實性), although widely circulated as being true.
Why?
Jesus foretold these word for Jesus knows these challenge will come and reveal the evil mind among men.
People like get together when they have same perspective they will be a party.
There are grumblers and faultfinders among church now.
Be careful to make friend with those evil men. Away from them!
How?
Insist our faith on the truth, which is told by Jesus Christ and the Lord!

Those who are false teaching blackest darkness has been reserved forever.
Jude 1:5-13
Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that the Lord delivered his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe.
These men speak abusively against whatever they do not understand; and what thing they do understand by instinct, like unreasoning animals - these are the very things that destroy them.
They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted - twice dead. They are wild waves of the sea, forming up their shame; wandering star, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever.
Jude reminds his readers of examples from Jewish history and tradition: those who fall away, or give themselves up to pride to lust will suffer God's judgment.
These men reject authority. But they are marked out for destruction - as Sodom and Gomorrah were for their sexual immorality and perversion; as Cain was for murdering the brother whose lie showed up his own; as Balaam was for betraying his position as a prophet; and as Korah was for his rebellion against God-given authority. The examples are carefully chosen. These are the very things of which these teachers are guilty.
Why?
Because these men they did evil things like their forefather will be destroyed by the Lord. The judgment will come upon them. So Jude remind them. No matter they understood or not understand, do not boast and proud.
Realized who I am, then speak what I should say.
How?
Be careful to speak and teaching in Spiritual life, for authority of judgment is belong to the Lord!

They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted - twice dead. They are wild waves of the sea, forming up their shame; wandering star, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever.
Jude reminds his readers of examples from Jewish history and tradition: those who fall away, or give themselves up to pride to lust will suffer God's judgment.
These men reject authority. But they are marked out for destruction - as Sodom and Gomorrah were for their sexual immorality and perversion; as Cain was for murdering the brother whose lie showed up his own; as Balaam was for betraying his position as a prophet; and as Korah was for his rebellion against God-given authority. The examples are carefully chosen. These are the very things of which these teachers are guilty.
Why?
Because these men they did evil things like their forefather will be destroyed by the Lord. The judgment will come upon them. So Jude remind them. No matter they understood or not understand, do not boast and proud.
Realized who I am, then speak what I should say.
How?
Be careful to speak and teaching in Spiritual life, for authority of judgment is belong to the Lord!

Contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints. Jude 1:1-4
Jude 1:1-4
Salvation is good and shared, but more important matter is urge them to contend(爭辯) for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints.
Some godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ out only Sovereign and Lord. They secretly slopped in among us.
The author of this letter is Jude, the younger brother of Jesus and James, now an old man. He was already thinking of writing, when alarming news of false teaching made him pen this short, vigorous letter with all speed.
Though he had wanted to write 'about the salvation we share'. Jude writes, instead, urging he Christians to hold fast to the truth. For 'certain men' have infiltrated the group and are now creating division by their false teaching. These men are so arrogant as to deny Christ. And Christian freedom has been turned into license.
Why?
Contend for the faith, for salvation could not be abused as immorality license and Jesus Christ is our center and foundation of truth.
Prevent the false Christians and hold fast to the truth.
How?
Trust our faith in Jesus Christ and careful to those who deny Jesus Christ and immorality men.
