I Samuel 16 14-23

An evil spirit from the Load tormented Saul.

Find someone who can play the hart when the evil spirit from the Load come upon you and you will feel better.

David was advised by the servant of Saul and he was asked be his armor-bearers.and play harp to Saul when evil spirit come.

David speaks well and is a find-looking man and the Load is with him.

Why?

Music may let man feel better in spirit.

When the spirit of the Load leave Saul evil force take charge. Saul his disorder mind plunges him into black depression and violence. But music can push back the shadow.

God is sovereign, both good and evil are directly attributed to him.

How?

Praise song to the Load is good to us and He is worthy to be praised

If the spirit of the Load come with us, evil spirit will torment us. Thanks the Loa when I invited Jesus as my savior the spirit is come within me, I should follow the way of the Holy spirit gives. Can I identify it is the right way?

Is my heart ready to be a servant of the Load

I Samuel 16:1-13
How long will you mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him as king over Israel?
The Load have chosen David, son of Jesse of Bethlehem, to be king.
Samuel afraid Saul if he know Samuel will anoint a new king.
Samuel said to the elders of the town and Jesse "Consecrate yourselves and come to the sacrifice with me"
Do not consider his appearance or his height. The Load does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Load looks at the heart.
Davis was ruddy, with a fine appearance and handsome.
Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed David in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Load came upon David in Power.
Why?
Samuel mourned for there was not a king who is the Load delight.
Saul is a king with power, so Samuel can let people know he is go out to anoint another one to be a king. The Load gave him a good idea, that is his job. Job is a good cover to do the work of the Load.
Before sacrifice needs consecrate yourselves, the Load is holy.
Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Load looks at the heart. So do not despise people for his appearance or his occupation.
Anointed oil from God's servant has the Spirit of the Load with him, it is necessary to be a servant of the Load. Blessing has similar power with it.
God chooses his man and prepares him long before he becomes  national figure. Learning to care for a wayward flock is no bad preparation for  leader.
How?
Right now I am learning to be servant of the Load for next mission.Our life has been chosen by the Load, and the correct heart to serve is more important that what the Load cares about.
Let me be a new man under the Load's Holy Spirit.

Obey the Load needs fear the Load

I Samuel 15: 17-35

Saul said it is the idea of his soldiers, they took sheep and cattle fro plunder, the best of what was devoted to God.

Does the Load delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the Load? To obey is better than the fat of rams.

For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Load, he has rejected you as king.

Those words Samuel declared became a major theme of later prophets.

Saul confessed his sin, he was afraid of the people and he gave in to them.

He who is the Glory of Israel does not lie or change his mind; for he is not a man, that he should change his mind.

Saul asked Samuel honor him before the elders of his people and before Israel; come bauck with him, so that he may worship the Load.

Agag's sword has made women childless, so will his mother be childless among women. Samuel put Agag to death before the Load at Gilgal.

Samuel mourned for Saul, and the Load was grieved that he had made Sail king over Israel.

Why?

Less individualistic world of Saul's day, the whole community was held responsible for the misdeeds of its members, and suffered the consequences.

To be a leader, Saul has the responsible for his whole troops. To do the work of the Load, can not listen to the idea of community, most time they do not know what are they doing, to be a lead have to know which one is the right way.

Rebellion and Arrogance is sin same as do evil things.

Saul afraid the people and gave in to them, but he did not afraid the Load, for we can't see the Load. Finally, Saul still hope he may get the honor before the people and doing worship ceremony on the Alter. Let people know he is the king. This is the wick of a man.

How?

If I was Saul can I reject the idea of my soldiers? Can I do the mission with other unbelievers?  It need God's wisdom and have to obey the commands of the Load, for I am servant of the Load, I am not the servant of the people. Obeying the voice of the Load should fear the Load. 

There is not democracy when doing the mission of the Load. First I have to make clear the way of the Load, but it is not follow by my own way.

    

Carry out the instruction of the Load, don't let the Load grieve

I Samuel 15:1-16
The Load direct told Saul to totally destroy everything the belong to Amalekites, put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.
Saul attacked the Amelekites all the way from Havilah to Shur,to the east of Egypt. But Saul and the army spared Agag and the best of the sheep and cattle , the fat calves and lambs- everything that was good.
Load said to Samuel:" I am grieved that I have made Saul king, because he has turned away from me and has not carried our my instructions.
When Saul met Samuel he didn't know he has sin, and he said to Samuel I have carried out the Load's instructions. Samuel told Saul:"Stop!, Let me tell you what the Load said to me last night"
Why?
Saul forgot this victory to Amalek is the war of the Load, it wasn't the honor of Saul, Saul has set up a monument in his own honor.
When one is proud then he forgot what God did on him.
The Load is grieved for He has made Saul king, Samuel cried out to the Load for mercy to Saul and Israel. He is an honest servant of the Load and the Priest of Israel, like Moses.
Samuel was troubled, it is means Samuel he had foresee the trouble.
The Load put the enemy of Israel to dead but let other tribe free, such as Kenites
How?
Follow the instruction of the Load, not only listen but also carry out the instruction totally, there is not any excuse. Even the mercy of our selves is not permitted for their will be good to us. This is the holy war, not one can touch anything in the holy war.

Do whatever seems best to me but also best to the Load

I Samuel 14:36-52
Saul want to pursue the Philistine by night and ask Israelite stand over there and he and his son Jonathan stand over here. The Israelite said "Do whatever seems best to you"
The priest said "Let us inquire of God here"
When he found Jonathan ate a little honey, want to kill his son, the men said to Saul," Should Jonathan die- he who has brought about this deliverance in Israel! As sure as the Load lives, not a hair of this head will fall to the ground, for he did this today with God's help"
Saul stop pursuing the Philistines, Jonathan was not put to death.
Saul assumed rule over Israel, he fought valiantly and defeated the enemy of Israel.
Why?
Saul didn't know this deliverance in Israel brought by Jonathan is God's help, but the Israelite know this.
The priest in the key time said a correct word to the king, this is his responsibility. He saved Saul and Israelite from perish.
Most time the men have not idea in mind, they will say " Do what seems best to you". But if it is very obviously  wrong, the men will reply directly. And it is a powerful opinion.
The people intervene of his father's rash oath.
How?
To be a minister of the Load, I should say something that I have to say, it is relate to the righteousness and walk along the way of the Load.
I am tender with mercy , but I should be do the right thing.

Don't make decision under enthusiasm

I Samuel 14:24-35
The men of Israel were in distress that day, because Saul had bound the people under an oath.
It seems encouraged the heart to avenge the enemies, but let the troops faint.
Jonathan said his father had made trouble for the country. if the men had eaten today some of the plunder they took from their enemies.
Israelite were exhausted, they took sheep, cattle and calves, butchered them on the ground and ate them, together with the blood. They have broken faith.
Saul built an altar to the Load ; it was the first time he had done this.
Saul made a mental disorder, and let troops made a oath, they feared the oath, but after they were exhausted they did wrong- eat with blood.
Why?
Bible tell us do not made a oath, if it is true then say "yes" if it is false then say "no". Saul did oath under enthusiasm.
Action based on the own enthusiasm may made trouble.
distress, faint and exhaust are limitation of physical condition for human being. Fast can't  be an order to everyone it need the faith to do it.
Saul built a altar to the Load, one for thanks the blessing of the Load, one for the sin of the people of the Israelite.
How?
Don't make decision under enthusiasm for it could be not cleaver. Don't oath so easy for the Load has sovereign.

faith and courage make the work of the Load be done

I Samuel 14:1-23

Jonathan attack the Philistine, but he did not tell his father.

Perhaps the Load will act in our behalf. Nothing can hinder the Load from saving, weather by many or by few.

Jonathan recognized the sign of the Load by reaction of the enemy's word; "wait there till we come to you", and" come up to us" , that be their sign of the Load.

Jonathan went up and killed some twenty men in an area of about half an acre and the ground shook. It was a panic sent by God.Philistine in total confusion, striking each other with their swords. So the Load rescued Israel that day.

Why?

Jonathan is a looking for God's will to do the next action, he is not seating there wait only under the stress situation.

Jonathan has courage and outstanding faith to the Load, he believed the Load's rescue is not relate by many or few.

Bring the Ark might be the ephod rather than Ark, the lots which were cast to discover God's will.

Jonathan and his armour bearer seem to have been taken for deserter, so they were able to catch the Philistine unawares.

How?

To know God's will sometimes are not follow the formal or usual manner, it might come from the enemy's word.

Not only faith but also the courage makes the work of the Load to be done. I need more courage to do the work of the Load, but I need to search the sign from the Load.
