Psalm 118-1:29
His love endures forever!
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the lord than to trust in princes. man's help, prince's power.
In my anguish I cried to the Lord he answered by setting me free. I was pushed back an about to fall but the Lord helped me.
The Lord is with me; he is my helper. What can man do to me?
The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.
The Lord has chastened me severely, but he has not given me over to death.
The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone.
This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
You are my God, and I will give you thanks; I will exalt you, for he is good; his love endures forever.
Victory hymn. The hymn was sung in procession by king, priest and people.
As they approach the Temple, the king recalls the victory won with God's help.
The processing, carrying branches, moves from the gateway to the altar.
Why?
The relationship between me and Lord: He is my God, my strength,my song and my salvation, my helper.
The Lord disciplines me but he doesn't give me over to death. He helps me grow up in my life.
Every day is the Lord made, let us rejoice and be grad for he is good. I am glad for the Lord is my God, his love endures forever, he sets me free.
The stone: The despised nation of Israel has become the great power. By Jesus's day Israel, in turn, had forfeited喪失 their privileged position.
How?
The Lord is my helper. What can man do to me? If I fear the Lord, walking on his way. I will give thanks to God, exalt his name, more important to me is trust in the Lord.

Praise the Lord an extol his name
Psalm 117:1-2
Praise the Lord, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples.
For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.
Praise the Lord.
Who should praise the Lord ? all nations and all peoples.
Why we should extol his? For the great of his love toward us and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.
Why?
Some do not know the Lord so they do not praise the Lord and worship Him.
The psalmist calls all nations to praise the Lord. In his love ad constant care for Israel he shows his purpose for every nation(Romans 15:11). “Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles; let all the peoples extol him.”
How?
Praise the Lord, for the love toward me and his faithfulness endure forever.

Be at rest once more
Psalm 116:1-19
The Lord protects the simplehearted ; when I was in great need, he saved me.
Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.
The Lord have delivered my soul from death, that I may walk before the Lord in the land of the living. I believed; therefore(even when) I said, "I am greatly afflicted."
How can I repay the Lord for all his goodness to me?
I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord. I will fulfill my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people.
I will sacrifice a thank offering to you and call on the name of the Lord.
Precious in the sight of the lord is the death of his saints.
I am your servant, the son of your faithful son.
Why?
Be at rest once more, even when I am greatly afflicted, because I believe the Lord.
Every saint's life is precious in the sight of the Lord, how great is my Lord.
To repay the Lord for all his goodness to me, I will lift up the cup of salvation, proclaim his salvation, I will call on name of the Lord, exalt the name of the Lord in the presence of all his people. Publicly exalt the name of the Lord.
Simple hearted people is the people with faith in Lord and without wicked mind. Child or folly.
Saved from death in answer to prayer, the psalmist comes to make his thank-offering in the Temple. The memory of that terrible time when the grave 'closed in' on him, with fear and danger all around, is vividly present as he pours out his heart in gratitude to God.
How?
Present my thanks to the Lord, praise the Lord in all of my life. My life is in His hands. How can I repay his goodness to me? I love God with all my heart, all my mind and all my strength. Be at rest whenever I meet.

He is our help and shield
Psalm 115:1-18
Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him. Why do Nations say " Where is their God?" Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them- the idols.
Trust in the Lord-- he is our help and shield.
The heavens belong to the Lord, but the earth he has given to man.
He will bless those who fear the Lord- small and great alike.
It is not the dead who praise the Lord, those who go down to silence; it is we who extol the Lord, both now and forevermore.
Why?
The dead who cannot praise the Lord, includes who does not know the Lord is like the dead man.
The heavens belongs to the Lord, man can not get there except through the Lord or Jesus. But the earth he has given to man, man needs to manage this earth.
This psalm gives an indication of the way may psalms must have been sung - with a single voice leading and the congregation joining in the response. A powerful contract is drawn between God almighty, loving, faithful - and the lifeless impotent idols of 'the nations'
The Lord will bless those who fear him- small and great alike, no matter what am I, the situation or the position or the rich or poor.
How?
Extol the Lord, from now to forevermore. Praise the Lord from my heart and my mind. He is my help and my shield!

Tremble at the presence of the Lord
Psalm 114:1-8
The Lord brought Israel out of Egypt, foreign tongue, Judah became God's sanctuary, Israel became his dominion.
The sea looked God fled, the Jordan turned back, tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob.
The God turned the rock into the pool, the hard rock into the spring of water.
Psalmist praised God's leading Israel and his mighty hands.
Why?
This is the festival which marks the escape from Egypt at the exodus. The people remember how God freed them when they were slaves and made them his own people.
Is the Lord who frees his people from the slave to the holy place.
The Lord turned the impossible to the possible. Nothing is impossible to the Lord, Jehovah my God.
How?
Trust in Thee, in Him there is no dark, in Him there is nothing difficult. He is my savior, my redeemer. Tremble before the Lord.

He sits enthroned on high, who stoops down to look the earth
Psalm 113:1-9
From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised.
The Lord is exalted over all the nations, his glory above the heavens. Who is like the Lord our God, the One who sits enthroned on high, stoops down弯腰 to look the earth.
He raise the poor from the dust and lefts the needy from the ash heap垃圾堆; he seats them with princes, with the princes of their people.
He settles the barren woman in her home as a happy mother of children.
Praise the Lord.
Praise the for his caring to the needy and the poor, left them with prince and settle the barren woman has children.
Who is like the Lord our God.
Why?
God is above and beyond his creation, yet he is infinitely aware of human misery. His love reaches to 'the dust', to lift up the poor and needy.
Feeling the heartache of the childless wife, God brings her joy.- respect instead of disgrace.
How?
Praise the Lord for He is feeling our needy and lift up the poor, He is compassionate to all needy.

Good will come to him who is fears the Lord and generous
Psalm 112:1-10
Blessed is the man 1)who fears the Lord, 2)who finds great delight in his commands.
Good will come to him 3)who is generous and lends freely.
Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for the gracious and compassionate and righteous man. Surely righteous man will be remembered forever.
He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. His heart is secure, he will have no fear; in the end he will look in triumph on his foes.
The wicked man will see and be vexed, he will gnash his teeth and waste away; the longings of the wicked will come to nothing.
Why?
Righteous man is he who fears the Lord and find great delight in his commands.
Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who finds great delight in God's commands, and who is generous and lends freely.
The wicked man will see and be vexed and the longing of the wicked will come to nothing. I don't have to anger about the wicked man, the Lord is justice and he has sovereignty over the world.
Happy are those who obey God and care for others. Their reward is sure. They can withstand life's knocks, secure and unafraid.
How?
I have no fear of bad news, trusting in the Lord. My heart is secure, no fear, I will look in triumph on my foes.
