Betrayed by a friend

Psalm 55:1-23
It is not an enemy who taunts  David - then he could bear it. But it is his familiar friend, a man, his equal, his companion.
But I call to God, and the Lord will save me. David put trust in the Lord, and believed God will save him, redeem him.
Put your burden to the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.
But you, O God, will cast them down into the pit of destruction; men of blood and treachery shall not live out half their days. But I will trust in you.
Above and beyond all his other fears and troubles, the treachery of a trusted friend - one who also loves God - has come like a knife to the heart.
The psalmist is torn by conflicting emotions: fear and longing to opt out of the whole situation; and the desire to see his enemies worsted.
But trust eventually wins - for friends may be faithless, but not God.
Why?
Enemy are friends but I call to the Lord.
Even enemy are many but I believed that God will cast them down. I trust in the Lord. Psalmist fully trust in the Lord.
Friend are not trust, but God is worthy to be trusted and praised.
How?
Put my burden to the Lord, for He will sustain me, and I trust in Him.

Cry for help

Psalm  54: 1-7
Save me, O God, by your name; vindicate me by your might.
Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.
Let evil recoil(後退)on those who slander me;in your faithfulness destroy them.
I will sacrifice a freewill offering to you; I will praise your name, Lord, for it is good.
Why?
Psalmist prayed to the Lord for God is my help, in God's might.
Psalmist has confident to the Lord, and fully trust in the Lord.
The plea is followed by his trust.
The promise of the thanks-offering shows Psalmist's
confidence that God will answer his prayer.
How?
Trust in the Lord, come to the Lord and pray with confidence.

There is no God

Psalm 53:1-6
There is no God.
The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, and their ways are vile; there is no one who does good.
There is no one who does good, not even one.
There they were, overwhelmed with dread, where there was nothing to dread.
Why?
The fool does not have God in his heart, so they corrupt and do nothing good.
They will overwhelmed with dread, where there was nothing to dread, because God punishes them when they though they were saved.
How?
Everyone on the world is sinner, humble ourselves before the Lord. God is my salvation.

The room of the wicked

Psalm 52:1-9
The mighty man boast all day long, boast of evil, plots destruction, who love falsehood rather than speaking the truth. God will bring the evil man down to everlasting ruin.
I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God;I trust in God's unfailing love for ever and ever.
The Hebrew title says this is a psalm by David at the time of Doeg's betrayal.
But the reference to the Temple in verse 8 would seem to make it later.
Why?
What I am boast? I boast God only, without him I can do nothing.
May I be like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God, trust him and love his word, obey his law forever.
How?
Be humble and trust in the Lord's unfailing love.

Plea for forgiveness

Psalm 51
David had sin against, when Nathan the prophet went to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.
Behold. I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being, and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart.
David asked God create in him a clean spirit within him, and take not Holy Spirit from him.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.
The psalm itself is deeply moving. It lets us see right into the soul of a man who has loved god yet fallen into grievous sin.
He has been made to see himself through God's eyes, and he is heartbroken.
He makes no excuse, simply accepts God's judgment and admits his guilt.
All he can do now - knowing God's love and mercy - is ask forgiveness and the chance of a fresh start.
Why?
Simple and confess my iniquity with broken heart and spirit, hope God hide his face to his sin. Psalmist was accept what God will do to him about his sins.
When we were born we are sinner. so only God can save us from death. God can bring us to the kingdom of freedom.
God dies not delight in sacrifice and burnt offerings. God delights the thank heart and repented heart.
How?
Usually repent to my sins and confess it, O Lord, give me a pure heart and create a clean spirit within me.

Psalm46 be still

Psalm46 be still
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear. Though...
God will help her at break of day.
The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
Come and see what the Lordhas done, the desolation he has brought on the earth.
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
May be written following king Shenebery Assyria attacked Jerusalem, some natural disasters, or in anticipation of the events heralding Messiah's coming.
Why?
I do not fear for God is my fortress,an ever present help in trouble.
I have to wait, God will help at day break, that is the time of the Lord.
Be still, and know that He is the God. Come and see what God has done.
I don't have to worry and do something when God doesn't show us which way.
How?
Be still, then I will know He is the Lord. No matter what trouble I am in.

Offer thank heart to the Lord

Psalm 50 offer thank heart to the Lord
Gather to me this consecrated people, who made a covenant with me by sacrifice.”
Listen, my people, and I will speak; I will testify against you, Israel: I am God, your God.
I bring no charges against you concerning your sacrifices
or concerning your burnt offerings, which are ever before me.
Sacrifice thank offerings to God, fulfill your vows to the Most High, and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.
Considerthis, you who forget God, or I will tear you to pieces, with no one to rescue you: Those who sacrifice thank offerings honor me, and to the blameless I will show my salvation.
Sacrifices are not required to God's hunger. It is the thanks heart, not the token thank-offering.
God loves the heart of thank, all creatures are God's. God doesn't lack anything.
Why?
God is righteousness, no one can escape from God's judgment. God won't keep silent to the evil doers.
Obey His commends and love others who are the needy.
How?
Let be a blameless man and honor his holy name
