Genesis 5:18-32
Enoch lived 365 years. Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.
When Lamech had lived 182 years, he had a son. He named him Noah and said, "He will comfort us in the labor and painful toil of our hands caused by the ground the Lord has cursed.
After Noah was 500 years old he became the father of Shem, Han and Japheth.
The life-span assigned to these early ancestors is remarkable to Methuselah's 969 years. Each of the ten records follows the same formula.
When A was x years old he had a son B. He lived another y years and had other sons and daughters. He lived z years and then he died.
The somber note of the final phrase and then he died is varied only in the case of Enoch, the man who walked with God. Fro him God has other plans. Noah, the last of the ten, in his turn also walked with God. And he too, though in a different way, was saved from death,
Why?
Enoch has a different way for he walked with the Lord so God took him away.
People were hard to work by their hands for the land was cursed by the Lord.
Noah is another man chosen to be a God's man, obey God's word.
How?
Blessing is the man who obeys God's word!

God named them “Mankind” when they were created
Genesis 5:1-17
When God created mankind, he made them in the likeness of God. He created them male and female and blessed them. And he named them “Mankind” when they were created.
When Adam had lived 130 years, he had a son in his own likeness, in his own image; and he named him Seth. After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. Altogether, Adam lived a total of 930 years, and then he died.
The Bible often provides family trees similar to this one to define an important line of descent. Many of them are selective, sometimes in order to create a pattern of a certain number of names. We are not meant to add up all the figures and work out the length of time covered. Ussher did this, arriving at 4004 BC for the date of Adam. Yet we know, from Jericho and other cities, of a civilization going back to 7000BC, and that is not the beginning of human history.
In the ancient Near East numbers were often used to signify importance, rather than actual quantity. The reducing ages from Methuselah to Joseph may be meant to suggest the cumulative effects of sin. Enoch's life of 365 years, a completed year's cycle of days, is worth special note.

If you do what is right, will you not be accepted?
Genesis 4;1-26
And Abel also brought an offering—fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering, but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.
Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.” Now Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let’s go out to the field.” While they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.
Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth. So Cain went out from the Lord’s presence and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.
Adam made love to his wife again, and she gave birth to a son and named him Seth, saying, “God has granted me another child in place of Abel since Cain killed him.” Seth also had a son, and he named him Enosh. At that time people began to call on the name of the Lord.
Adam and Eve, after their expulsion from the garden, have two sons: Cain, the farmer, and Abel, the shepherd. In due course, each brings his offering to God. Abel's is accepted, but not Cain's. It was not what Abel offered, but his faith which made his gift acceptable. Cain's bitter resentment shows a very different spirit. As the prophets will say again and again, God is not bought off by sacrifices. He wants the offered also to 'do well'. True faith cannot be divorced from the right behavior.
Cain kills Abel - it is s short step from rebellion to bloodshed - and God condemns him to a nomadic life, but provides protection against death, some of Cain's descendants, and show the beginnings of civilized life, Enoch builds the first city. His successors learn to play and enjoy music - also to forge iron and bronze. But creative skills are not matched by moral progress. Lamech takes two wives. The pain and problems this brings are all too evident in later stories. And he boasts of the murder he has committed, outdoing Cain.
The last two verses give a glimmer of hope. Seth is born to Adam and Eve, and people begin to call on the name of the Lord.
Why?
The offering is not as important as our behavior, for the Lord loves our faith better than offering.
So it is not what offering Cain and Abel delivered to the Lord. God does not lack anything from us, but our heart to the Lord.

Death is only a matter of time. God's word was true.
Genesis 3:1-24
Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9 But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”
The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.” So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.
Enter the serpent - a creature made by God and yet a rebel. Where does the bad come from in this good world" he story does nos say. But clearly, God has taken an enormous risk in giving his creatures the freedom to choose. What follows is a brilliant insight into the psychology of temptation and sin: the attempt to shift the blame, and eventual shame.
The serpent questions what God has said then call God a liar. The woman has to set the enticing fruit, the desire to have knowledge like God's, against God's plain command. Eve exaggerates God's strictness and plays with temptation. Does she want simply to know as God knows, or to be God's equal. The decision is deliberate and fatal. The silent Adam makes no protest. He too eats. Man and woman have chosen to go their own way, to disregard the God who gave them life.
But the goodness of God and human sin are like oil and water. Separation is inevitable. The relationship of God with people, and people with one another, is wrecked. Man and woman are no longer at ease together. The serpent is now at enmity with human beings. The woman will experience suffering - in childbirth, the most fundamental human process. Desire and domination will hurt relations between the sexes. Adam's work will be sweat and toil.
Because of their deliberate wrongdoing, access to the 'tree of life' is now denied them. They are to leave the garden, forever. They are on their own, apart from God, alive yet only half alive without him. Death is only a matter of time. God's word was true. Yet still, he shows them tender, parent care.
Why?
Man and woman chose their own way and denied follow the word of the Lord so they were abandoned from the Garden and have to suffer the pain and struggle for their life.

一、人為何離開神：不重視神的話，蛇挑戰神嗎？是夏娃不清楚神的話，以致和蛇討論起來。隨意吃，是鼓勵吃。不可吃是不能吃，神也沒有說不可摸。直接用神的話來引誘人。夏娃對於神的話語一知半解，馬上破功。新約中撒旦對耶穌的試探也是用神的話。第二個原因是人的私慾。即使人對聖經很熟悉，但是會跌倒。重要是要行出神的話。夏娃自己在想的是一好吃、好看、有智慧。所以人犯罪不要怪其他，是人自己的私慾造成的。不要被自己的私慾牽著走
二、人犯罪後的結果1.自然界起了變化2. 人開始害怕見神。信什麼都好，人卻不願信神，與神疏離 3.基督教犯罪就與神疏離 4.人與人之間開始疏離，看到別人的問題，我們也不想被人看到，人有羞愧，彼此有隔閡 5.互相推卸責任，就是神的錯，我們看到苦難、災難時，都怪罪神，怪罪耶穌，基督徒也是怪這個怪那個。confession，認罪，神沒有給撒旦和蛇認罪
三、神對人犯罪的處置： 蛇用肚子行走，極其卑微。女人生產本來是榮耀的，卻成為痛苦。夫妻爭領導權。亞當受到咒詛是無論怎麼努力都不會滿足。地不再為人效力，勞苦一生。如果人沒有神的一口氣，人就是塵土，怎麼努力都是一場空
四、神對在罪中人的救贖： 神為人遮掩過錯，用樹葉很簡單，神給人福音要生命的代價，皮衣是流血的。死好像刑罰，但是活著卻也是勞苦，人死是神縮短人在世受苦的年日，不死好像永死的狀態。人雖然死了還要復活。

The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
Geneses 2:4-25
Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”
It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.
Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
The man said, This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.
If the world God made was good, how did it get to be the way it is now?
This second story, after the creation, accounts for the bad as well as the good in our world. It focusses on the first two human beings and their relationship with God. Significantly, God ow has a different name. In the first story, he was Elohim, God the Creator, the one High God. Now he is Yahweh Elohim, the personal name by which he can be known.
Adam in Hebrew is both a personal name and a word for 'mankind'. God forms the first human being and plants for him a garden in Eden in the east. But neither birds nor animals provide the companionship man needs, and he is not made for a solitary, self-sufficient life. So God creates woman, who shares man's own nature. Here is the ideal partner. 'This one at last is born from my bones, flesh from my flesh' cries Adam in delight, giving us the first lines of poetry in the Bible. These two are literally 'made for one another. They are naked, totally open to one another. And this is right. It will never be quite the same again.
In 2:24 the editor reinforces the point true marriage is a unique and exclusive relationship.
Why?
The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” This is the reason God made a woman for Adam, to be a helper of man. And there is a close relationship between them.
This is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh, so they should love each other.
If the word God made was good, for God gives man the right to choice, Man can choose the way to love God or not. God likes man is a living being with real love.

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; Gen 1
Genesis 1:1-2:3
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.
By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.
The great drama of the beginning of all things starts with God. The language is simple but vivid. It evokes the wonder and richness of creation from formlessness to teeming life.
More than this, it offers us the key to understanding ourselves and the world around us. Creation is described as taking place in six days. Eight times God speaks, and there is something new.
This is not a chronological account. The 'separations' of the first three days create the space which God them fills. We are not told when creation took place. Nor are we given details as to how God brought the earth and life into being - nor how long it all took. The storyteller does not share the preoccupations of a scientific age. He is concerned with more important things.
Why?
God created this world in six days and created human beings in God's image. This is different from other living lives.
The seventh day is Holy day for rest, so it makes us working life in the world.
There is not any scientific description about the procession of creation but God is the creator, who makes everything done and gives us life.
God says then everything is done.

神賜給人當受造物的王的身分，王的責任是好好管理所有生物，資源。這次疫情是人破壞這些資源，我們需要去思考 。
安息是神滿意的日子。安息日是神的第七天，卻是人的第一天。神讓人先安息再工作。在神的創造中人才有祝福。
How?
God is Holy, God is my way, my hope, and my shepherd. What my life's mission if honor God's name.
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.
By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.
