So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good

 Romans 7:1-15

The law has authority over someone only as long as that person lives?

But if her husband dies, she is released from that law and is not an adulteress if she marries another man.

So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God.

For when we were in the realm of the flesh, the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in us, so that we bore fruit for death. But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.

What shall we say, then? Is the law sinful? Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law.

For sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, deceived me, and through the commandment put me to death. So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good.

We know that the law is spiritual, but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate, I do.

Why?

For we are living in a flesh body, and sin comes to attract us to be sin and die. So we need rely on the Holy Spirit to fight against the sins.

How?

Pray and read the word of the Lord, and let us keep a close relationship with the Lord.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose

 Romans 8:22-39

Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Why?

Our God loves us. Before we knew Him, God had chosen us among many people.

No one and no events can separate us from the love of Christ!

Even when we are under hardship or trouble, the Lord is with us and the Holy Spirit helps us to know the way to solve.

How?

God is good, for we have a wonderful Lord; we are his children, so what do we need to worry about? But we need to care, don't fall the trap of evil.

Do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit

Romans 8:1-21

Through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness.

You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.

The Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.

Why?

How great are those who have the Spirit of the Lord, even we, who are creation, are subjected to frustration, not by our own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it.

We no longer belong to this world, but we are sons of the Lord, we may call the Lord Abba, Father, for the Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.

How?

Keep this holy identity in Jesus Christ, we may have eternal life in the future and joy in this world.

I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin

 Romans 7:1-25

for I am speaking to those who know the law—that the law has authority over someone only as long as that person lives? For example, by law a married woman is bound to her husband as long as he is alive, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law that binds her to him.

So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God.

But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.

For sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, deceived me, and through the commandment put me to death. So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good.

We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good.

Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.

Why?

The relationship between the Spirit of the Lord and sins in our body. We need get rid of our sins through Jesus Christ, only Jesus conquered the sins and the dead, so we can over sins and be righteous. But because we are living in our flesh body which is sinful nature and slave to the law of sin.

How?

Rely on the Holy Spirit help us leading us be a slvae to God's law. This is a hard work and mission during our whole life.

As Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life

 Romans 6:1-23

By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.

For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.

But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.

But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Why?

Our salvation came from Jesus Christ, so when we were baptised and raised from water as Jesus was raised from the dead and we have been set free from sins and have become slaves to righteousness.

I do not have the capability to escape from the sins, but under the grace of Jesus Christ, I can do the right things, and I need the Holy Spirit to help me keep away from the sins.

The most difficult of our sins is our desire and greedy mind. We like to live a better life, and the Lord shows mercy to us to live better every day, but it does not mean our life is better in material life. In contrast, when we have more closer relationship with the Lord, we may have a better Spiritual life, and even under suffering, we may live out the joy, peace, and satisfaction under any situation.

How?

May my life and my mind be under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and live a joyful life and have a good relationship with surrounding people.

Salvation and suffering and hope from Jesus Christ

 Romans 5:1-21

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us

For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned

Why?

Grace:Suffering--> perseverance-->character --> hope --> does not put us to shame.

Even we were sinnersm=, but we are saved through Jesus life!

How great is our Lord and the salvation of Jesus Christ before I was born, God has prepared the salvation for all of us.

How?

Praise to the Lord and do our best to preach this Gospel and let more people be saved through Jesus Christ.

To the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness

 Romans 4:1-25

What does Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” Gen. 15:6; also in verse 22

Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness.

“Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them."

Under what circumstances was it credited? Was it after he was circumcised, or before? It was not after, but before! And he received circumcision as a sign, a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised.

It was not through the law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.

Because the law brings wrath. And where there is no law there is no transgression.

The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.

Why?

Because of Abraham be called righteouness is before he been circumsized. And he circumsized as sign for whose transfressions are forgiven.

The law brings wrath, because the law let us knoe what are sins, and sins induse wrath of the Lord.

How?

Circumsision like the baptism today to symbolized we are transformed and remember we are belong to the Lord, like Jesus raised from the dead with a new life.
