In every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God

 Philippians 4:1-20

Stand firm in the Lord in this way, dear friends!

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

Why?

Paul is a good example as an apostle of Jesus Christ. He encouraged brothers and sisters in Philippians church.

In every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present our request to God. This is our living way.

The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard our hearts and our minds in Christ Jesus. How great a blessing we have.

How?

Do everything in truth, noble, right, pure, lovely, and doing admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy. These are Christian life and symbols.

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus

 Philippians 3:1-21

 Rejoice in the Lord! It is no trouble for me to write the same things to you again, and it is a safeguard for you. Watch out for those dogs, those evildoers, those mutilators of the flesh. For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh.

But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Only let us live up to what we have already attained.

Why?

Do what the Lord lets us live up to what we have already attained. Don't do what I did not attain.

For the sake of Christ, do not let me gain something, but consider everything loss. It is hard in this world.

The Lord will ask us live up to what we have already attained, so don't worry, but do our best to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

How?

Do my best to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus

 Philippians 2:1-30

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,

Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.

Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.

But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you. So you too should be glad and rejoice with me.

Why?

Learn from Jesus Christ's Humility.

Do nothing out of selfish or vain conceit, rather, in humility value others above yourselves.

Do anything without grumbling or arguing. This is our altitude to work.

From our faith to serve others, for we are servants of the Lord, we humble ourselves and have good relationships with one another.

How?

Listen and obey the Lord's command. Reading the Word from the Bible every day can remind my mind and guide my daily life.

Always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death

 Philippians 1:1-27

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight,  so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,  filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.

The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains.  But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.

I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.

Why?

Abiubd more Love and knowledge and insight, we may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ.

Christ will always be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death; this should be our living mind and target in our daily life.

Paul is hard to make a decision for his life, no matter live or die, is for Jesus Christ, for the Gospel and the mission the Lord has given to him.

How?

What am I living for? For Christ or for my own desire or preference?

To be a good master and good slave in this world

 Ephesians 6:1-24

Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. Doing the will of God from your heart. Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free. And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

Why?

Prayer is our weapon to defeat evil and protect those who fight against evil for the Lord.

Do our best to be an identity in this world, for all organizations or governments, or companies are under the arrangement of the Lord. Respect the authority given by the Lord.

How?

To be a good Christian is to be a good servant and a good master in this society.

Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ

 Ephesians 5:17-33

Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.

Live as children of light for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, rightousness and truth

 Ephesians 5:1-16

But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

Live as children of light for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth and find out what pleases the Lord.

Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 

Why?
We are the children of the Lord, so we should live as children of light, consisting in all goodness, righteousness, and truth, and find out what pleases the Lord.

Don't be unwise, but as wise as possible for this world, and our days are full of evil.

How?

Making the most of every opportunity to do all goodness, righteousness and truth.
