1 Kings 18:25-29
Elijah let the prophets of Baal do first for they are many.
Elijah encouraged them "Shout louder!" he said, "Surely he is a god Perhaps he is deep in thought, or busy, or traveling. Maybe he is sleeping and must be awakened."
So they shouted louder ad slashed themselves with swords and spears, as was their custom, until their blood flowed.
But there was not response, no one answered, no one paid attention, till time for the evening sacrifice.
Baal is important - no more able to produce fire than to sen the needed rain.
Why?
There was their custom to slashed themselves with swords and spears, means their earnest heart.
Those behavior like many cultures in my country, they are doing the same thing as to Baal. People thought their god as man, using man's way to assimilate their gods.
Those gods can not listen, can not see, can not speak!
How?
All of these are the false gods, only the Lord is the true God!

Do not waver between two opinions
1 Kings 18:16-24
Elijah in Mount Carmel.
Elijah said to the people of Israel, "How long will you waver between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him."
Get two bulls for us. Let them choose one for themselves, and let them cut it not pieces and put it on the wood but not set fire to it. I will prepare the other bull and put it on the wood but not set fire to it. Then you call on the name of your god, and I will call on the name of the Lord. The god who answers will by fire - he is God.
Now Elijah returns - one against 450 -with a challenge. Let's put this the test and see who is the real God.
Why?
Elijah could said the word against the king and made this comparison between Baal and the Lord for he knew that the Lord is the real God. To prove that who is the real God, let Israel and the king make decision. Do not wave between two opinions.
Elijah has faith and strong confidence to claim these before so many Baal's prophet and people.
How?
During the spiritual war let be strong and follow the Lord, keeping the way of the Lord, obey his commandment. There is not God except the Lord!
God doesn't like his people waver between the Lord and others.Only the Lord is the real God!

As the Lord Almighty lives whom I serve
1 Kings 18:7-15
Obediah has worshiped the Lord since his youth. He afraid when he said to the King Elijah is here but the Lord takes Elijah to somewhere could be found, king will kill Obediah.
As surely as the Lord your God lives. Obediah said.
As the Lord Almighty lives whom I serve, Elijah said.
He will kill me for sure Obediah said to Elijah three times.
Why?
Because Obediah could not know where Elijah will be for the Lord's spirit may let Elijah to somewhere and hide him. Then Obediah may lie to the king.

What are we afraid? we should afraid the Lord instead the kings in the world.
How?

賽55。福音免費的，但必須分別出是神的道路。
我們不拒絕關係，但是不依靠關係。
做任何事不能自誇。沒有缺乏，但是不富足，存款不多。

以利沙與寡婦與祝福。的啟示…早知就作更多！！

A devout believer in the Lord
1 Kings 18:1-6
In the third year, the word of the Lord came to Elijah:"Go and present yourself to Ahan, and I will sent rain on the land." So Elijah went to preset himself to Ahab.
Obadiah was in charged of Ahab palace, who was a devout believer in the Lord. While Jezebel was killing believer in the the Lord's prophets, Obadiah had taken a hundred prophets and hidden them in two caves, and had supplied the with food and water.
Jezebel is fanatical for her religion. For three years she has done all in her power to eliminate the worship of God in Israel.
Why?
The Lord let Israel third years had not rain, made shame to Baal Israelite were worshiping. These gods could not bless them. There were under political and economic crisis.
Elijah will face against Ahab, it is a hard war. There was another company Obadiah God had chosen even he was in charged of Ahab palace.
Obadiah was using his own way to save God's prophets.
Homosexuals marriage became legal in Taiwan now, it is an evil law before the Lord. To be a God's servant we can do something different to witness the honor of the Lord.
How?
Under any situation, even evil environment God's servant can serve the Lord in different way.

Changing of knowledge to the Lord
1 Kings 17:17-24
Some time later the son of the woman who owned the house becae ill and finally stopped breathing. She said to Elijah, "What do you have against me, man of God
Do you come to remind me of my sin and kill my son?
Elijah stretched himself out on the boy three ties and cried to the Lord,"O Lord my God, let this boy's lie return to him!" The Lord heard Elijah's cry, and the boy's life returned to him, and he lived.
The woman said to Elijah, "Now I know that you are a man of God and that the word of the Lord from your mouth is the truth."
This is the first account in the Bible of a revival from death. It is a heart-stopping story for the reader, too happily closing with a remarkable expression of faith from one who knew nothing of God before Elijah came to her door.
Elijah may have used the 'kiss of life'; but the revival came in answer to his prayer, not just through a particular method of resuscitation.(復甦)
Why?
This woman did not know the Lord before Elijah came to her house. After this event she knew the Lord and Elijah is man of God, the Lord from his mouth is the truth.
Can I make witness to people and let people know that the word of Lord from my mouth is truth.
The woman confess her sins after this event. It is good to revival life for her and her son.
First, the faith of the woman built on the food , now her faith build on the Lord. It is the changing of knowledge to the Lord.
How?
Faith not only build on the food but on the Lord! God is the master of life and all.

The Lord is my supporter and my savior
1 Kings 17: 8-16
The widow at Zarephath listened to the word of Elijah and did as Elijah had told her. Even she don't have any bread - only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug.
Don't be afraid. Go home and do what you have said. But first make a small cake of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son. For this is what the Lord said: The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the Lord gives rain on the land.
God provides for Elijah's needs first from nature and then through a most unlikely person in the unlikeliest of places. The widow is a foreigner with no one to support her, and Zarephath is in the heart of Baal's own county! By providing for Elijah this way, God also shows his care for the poorest of the poor.
Why?
God let Elijah knew that God provides him his needs and care the needs of the poor widow and her son. Even they had not any support, God is their way and support.
Obey and follow the word of God is the way of blessing under unlikeliest situation.
Who is the real God - He is the Lord in the past, now and the future.
How?
