1.外邦人的路，你們不要走，撒馬利亞人的城，你們不要進，寧可往以色列家迷失的羊那裡去
2.耶穌在諸城中行了許多異能，那些城的人終不悔改
Why?
不公平？ 因為那些城的人終不悔改
生命不是公平不公平，而是做給你看。如未離開埃及以色列人心情轉變，聽到埃及派大軍去追以色列人，心想還好我沒去，聽說被困在紅海也想還好沒去。當埃及追兵煞羽而歸，他人就成為埃及人的憤怒對象。
大綱：
1.白白得來白白捨去 →奪取神之物
人不要越過神的恩典。行李放兩件衣服就好，人要帶很多東西走，因為安全感。其實有吃有喝就好。
奪去我的供物…看十分之九
奪去十億，施捨一億，表面看施捨很多。其實搶奪九億。寧可不要說奉獻給神。
不要守住那無意義的東西。
2.配得平安 →接待之福
一首歌？ 神正在尋找一個人？
一個肯全心傾向祂的人，一個肯完全順服祂的人，祂要重用祝福的人。
神正在尋找一個家？一個教會？一個國家？
3.不配得的那家→ 踱下塵土之意義
不是拒絕，是他們不配得
同樣出埃及，十個首領完全無份。
宴席已經齊備，只是所召的人不配。

There will be a highway for the remnant of his people
Isaiah 11:10-16
In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to reclaim the remnant that is left of Upper Egypt, from Cush, from Elam, from Babylonia, from Hamath and from the islands of the sea. He will assemble the scattered people of Judah from the four quarters of the earth.
They will swoop down(衰敗) on the slopes of Philistia to the west; together they will plunder the people to the east. They will subdue Edom and Moab, and the Ammonites will be subject to them.
There will be a highway for the remnant of his people that is left from Assyria, as there was for Israel when they came up from Egypt.
Nations will rally to him. His kingdom will be free of enmity and evil, The natural world reflects this total transformation. There will be a great gathering in of all God's scattered people.
Why?
God reach out his hand first time deliver his people from Egypt, second time to reclaim the remnant from Egypt, Babylonia and all world.
Not only come back to Jerusalem but subdue neighbor nations, their historical enemies.

A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse
Isaiah 11：1-9
A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.
The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord—and he will delight in the fear of the Lord.
He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears; but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth.
They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
The theme of earlier passages is developed more fully here. The coming king will be from David's family.
Why?
Here is mention the Jesus Christ will be king of the world, he will judge people with justice.
Most people will judge by what we sees and decide by what we hears. God knows the heart of men and no one escape from his judge.
In that day is wonderful day, there is neither harm nor destroy on the holy mountain, there is a peace paradise.
How?
Jesus is the Lord, before his coming, prophets has proclaimed him and give us the feature of the future.

The remnant of Israel
Isaiah 10:5-34
When the Lord has finished all his work against Mount Zion and Jerusalem, he will say, "I will punish the king of Assyria for the willful pride of his heart and the haughty look in his eyes,
For he says: My the strength of my hand I have done this and by my wisdom, because I have understanding. I removed the boundaries of nations, I plundered their treasure; like a mighty one I subdued their kings.
In that day the remnant of Israel, the survivors of Jacob, will no longer rely on him who struck them down but will truly rely on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel. A remnant will return, a remnant of Jacob will return to the Mighty God.
In that day their burden will be lifted from your shoulders, their yoke from your neck; the yoke will be broken because you have grown so fat.
He will cut down the forest thickets with an ax; Lebanon will fall before the mighty One.
God makes use of a proud and cruel nation to punish his people. But the emperor's arrogant boast does not go unchallenged and Assyria's excessive ferocity is not excused; it will be punished.
Even at the height of judgment God never lose sight of his purpose to save. A remnant - pathetically few - of his people will survive to trust and serve him.
The remnant : This is one of the key themes in Isaiah. It goes back to the day God called him into service, and runs as a thread of hope through the darkest messages of judgment. This same faithful remnant, those who have survived, is to realize all the glorious promises for the future.
Why?
God punishes people of arrogant, destroy those who do not obey his command.
Return, God is the Lord full of mercy and love, he like his people return to him. as his servant.
Return to the Lord Almighty, think what I am doing and what I should doing before the Lord.
Meditate the way and the mind of the Lord and faithful follow with the Lord.
How?
Return to the Lord everyday, each issue and every moment. For God is love.

Be humble and fear the Lord
Isaiah 9:1-10:4
In the past he humbled the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the future he will honor Galilee of the nations, by the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan. The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.
The Lord's anger against Israel.
By the wrath of the Lord Almighty the land will be scorched and the people will be fuel for the fire; they will not spare one another. Nothing will remain but to cringe among the captives or fall among the slain. Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised.
This prophecy moves right away from the dark days of the present to a vision of a bright and glorious future. A king will come from David's line to rule in peace and justice - for ever. Zebulun and Naphtali in Galilee, the first of the tribes to be crushed by Assyria, will be the first to see the light, to taste the joy, to be set free by the coming prince of peace.
Punishment for Israel: We are brought back abruptly to the present. The people of the breakaway northern kingdom of Israel stand condemned for their arrogance and rebellion, injustice and oppression. They have already had a taste of judgment, but learned nothing from it. Therefore God will not spare them. The prophecy is written in four stanzas, each ending with the same refrain.
The Assyrians took many Israelites captive in 734, but Samaria held out until 722. Israel had turned a deaf ear to the warnings of Amos and the appeals of Hosea, the two prophets God had specially sent them.ya
Why?
There was a good message about Messiah in such dark generation.
It was sad there were deaf and blind people in Israel, they were rebellion, unjustice and oppression country.
How?
Be humble no matter what or how much I have leaned, with Jesus I am nothing.

The Lord Almighty is the one to regard as holy, he is the one to fear
Isaiah 8:1-22
Isaiah name his son ,"Maher-Shalal-Hash-Bazz." For before the boy knows how to say 'May father or My mother, the wealth of Damascus and the plunder of Samaria will be carried off by the king os Assyria.
Because this people has rejected the gently flowing waters of Shiloah and rejoices over Rezin and the son Remaliah, therefor the Lord is about to bring against them the mighty flood waters of the Euphrates - the king of Assyria with all his pomp.
The Lord warning Isaiah not to follow the way of this people: Do not call conspiracy everything this people calls a conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it. The Lord Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy, he is the one you are to fear, he is the one you are to dread(可怕.)
Blind up this testimony of warning and seal up God's instruction among my disciples. I will wait for the Lord, who is hiding his face from the descendants of Jacob,. I will put my trust in him.
Why consult the dead on behalf of the living?
Consult God's instruction and the testimony of warning. If anyone does not speak according to this word, they have no light of dawn.
Maher-Shalal-Hash-Bazz : same message as "God with us' - one of judgment at the hands of Assyria.
Why?
God used a name of Isaiah's son as sign to warning his people. The judgment is coming soon.
When people reject God and his word, there are fear and dread coming soon.
Do not follow the way of this people, do not follow the custom of contemporary culture. Fear the Lord and trust in Him is the way to Christians.
The Lord Almighty is the one I am to regard as holy, he is the one I am to fear. There is not dark in my life.
How?
Consult God's instruction and the testimony of warning.

Immanuel
Isaiah 7:10-25
The Lord will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. He will be eating curds and honey when he knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right, for before the boy knows enough to reject wrong and choose the tight, the land of the two kings you dread will be laid waste.
The Lord will bring on you and your people on the house of your father a time unlike any since Ephraim broke away from Judah - he will bring the king of Assyria.
Assyria, the Lord's instrument.
Isaiah offers Ahaz a sign that God will keep his promise to save Judah and its line of kings. Ahaz, with false piety, will not ask for one. So Isaiah promises him another sign, a child called 'God with us'. In the immediate future 'God with us' means judgment, though in the long term it will mean blessing.
Why?
Immanuel in Hebrew means 'Gpd is with us'/ The sign seems to have both present and future significance. 1. in the few years it takes for a child conceived now to reach an age when he can choose for himself, Israel and Damascus will cease to be a threat. 2. There will one day be born a child who will truly be 'Immanuel', God with us.
God's word has power and authority, Ahaz refuse to ask sign of the Lord, but God's word is confirmed. So Isaiah give Ahaz a sign, it means God's judgment Israel. But for long time after Jesus, it means blessing.
Emmanuel means Jesus is born for us. He is our blessing and savior.
God is with us, so we have to be holy either, for God is holy. Jesus come for erase our sins, only with name of Jesus our sins may erase and we may stand before the Lord. The really God with us.
God is with love and justice.
How?
