Isaiah 10:20-34
In that day the remnant of Israel, the survivors of the house of Jacob, will not longer rely on him who struck them down, but will truly rely on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.
Though people of Israel be like the sand by the sea, only a remnant will return. Destruction has been decreed, overwhelming and righteous.
The Lord, the Lord Almighty, will carry out the destruction decreed upon the whole land.
See, the Lord, the Lord Almighty, will lop off the boughs with great power. The lofty trees will be felled, the tall ones will be brought low.
Why?
Even at the height of judgment God never loses sight of his purpose to save. A remnant-pathetically few- of his people will survive to trust and serve him.
The remnant: This is one of the key themes in Isaiah. It goes back to the day God called him into service and runs as a thread of hope through the darkest messages of judgment. Those who have survived is to realize all the glorious promises for the future.
The Lord destroy all in the land, but God keep some remnant to honor His name, all of the evil and idols will be clean out.
Pride one and the haughty one will be low and humble, only the Lord is the king.
How?
Don't sad about the situation right now, my hope is in the Lord.
I don't know why my wife angry with my talk. May be I speak a little louder, but I didn't angry about it. May the love of Lord be our solution.
