Listen to the word of the Lord

1 Kings 22:26-36
The king of Israel then ordered, put this fellow in prison and give him nothing but bread and water until I return safely.
Micaiah declared, "If you ever return safely, the Lord has not spoken through me." Then he added, "Marked my words, all you people."
The king of Israel disguised himself and let Jehosphaphat king of Judah wear royal robes.
But someone drew his bow at random and hit the king of Israel between the sections of his armor. All day long the battle raged, and the king was propped up in his chariot facing the Arameans. The blood from his wound ran on the floor of the chariot, and that evening he died.
The warning is ignored. Ahab cannot cheat death by being disguised and he dies in battle at Ramoth-gilead, east of the Jordan, as God had said.
Listen, people, all together' has been mistakenly brought in here from Micah, from a marginal note by a scribe who thought Micaiah the same as Micah. There are very few scribal 'corrections' of this king in the Hebrew text.
Why?
Ahab ignored the warning of Micaiah for he has his plan to disguise himself on battle. And Ahab did not believe in the word of the Lord.
Ahab is die for his own arrogance and foolish.
How?
Listen to the recommendation from others and trust in the word of God. Concerning the word of the Lord!
