Ecclesiastes 1:12-2:11
I applied my mind to study and to explore by wisdom all that is done under the heavens. What a heavy burden God has laid on mankind!
Then I applied myself to the understanding of wisdom, and also of madness and folly, but I learned that this, too, is a chasing after the wind.
For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief.
I said to myself, “Come now, I will test you with pleasure to find out what is good.” But that also proved to be meaningless.
My heart took delight in all my labor, and this was the reward for all my toil. Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun.
There is nothing new. Even the search for wisdom - our highest goal - is futile, for 'the more one knows, the more one has to suffer.
What are we to do with our days? If we live for pleasure - all that wealth and status can afford - life is still empty. Wisdom is far better than folly. But in the end, death makes fools of us all.
Why?
Everyone what he did is limited by death, for our life is short and when we passed away, nothing left to us.
So it is said the wisdom and pleasure are meaningless, we can not take anything away and no one remembers us.

How?
Let us be above the sun instead of under the sun! Without the Lord, all we have done will be passed away.
