The Lord live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit

Isaiah 57:1-21

The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart; the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death.

“But you—come here, you children of a sorceress, you offspring of adulterers and prostitutes! Who are you mocking? At whom do you sneer and stick out your tongue? Are you not a brood of rebels, the offspring of liars? You burn with lust among the oaks and under every spreading tree; you sacrifice your children in the ravines and under the overhanging crags. The idols among the smooth stones of the ravines are your portion; indeed, they are your lot. Yes, to them you have poured out drink offerings and offered grain offerings. In view of all this, should I relent?

Behind your doors and your doorposts you have put your pagan symbols. Forsaking me, you uncovered your bed, you climbed into it and opened it wide; you made a pact with those whose beds you love, and you looked with lust on their naked bodies.

For this is what the high and exalted One says— he who lives forever, whose name is holy: “I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite. I will not accuse them forever, nor will I always be angry, for then they would faint away because of me— the very people I have created.

But the wicked are like the tossing sea, which cannot rest, whose waves cast up mire and mud. “There is no peace,” says my God, “for the wicked.”

Why?

The righteous is be loved by the Lord, and the Lord let them perish and enter into peace, they find rest as they lie in death. So the death of the righteous is a way to be spared from evil.

The wicked men even what they did behind their doors God knows it, So the anger of the Lord pours on them if they continue doing evil.

The Lord is living in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit. So all of us, Christians should be humble in Spirit and contrite.

We cannot go up the high to save ourselves, but when we are humble the Lord comes from high to save us.

責備以色列人的罪

神與人是夫妻關係，當人去拜偶像，好像妓女，擴張床榻

人常常有各種理由不去教會，但是去拜偶像，再遠再辛苦仍然樂於參加，如媽祖繞境。那個神是真神，假神，是人自己決定，自己去找。耶和華除非自己向人顯現，否則人不會認識神。

當人謙卑下來 1.與人同居，同在。2.引導人所行的道，醫治人。平安、康泰歸與遠處的人也歸近處的人。

v10人倚靠自己力量，明明品路遠疲倦，卻不承認，不說這是枉然。
