I wish that all the Lord’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put his Spirit on them!

Numbers 11:24-35

Then the Lord came down in the cloud and spoke with him, and he took some of the power of the Spirit that was on him and put it on the seventy elders. When the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied—but did not do so again.

However, two men, whose names were Eldad and Medad, had remained in the camp. They were listed among the elders, but did not go out to the tent. Yet the Spirit also rested on them, and they prophesied in the camp. A young man ran and told Moses, “Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp.”

But Moses replied, “Are you jealous for my sake? I wish that all the Lord’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put his Spirit on them!” Then Moses and the elders of Israel returned to the camp.

All that day and night and all the next day the people went out and gathered quail. No one gathered less than ten homers. Then they spread them out all around the camp. But while the meat was still between their teeth and before it could be consumed, the anger of the Lord burned against the people, and he struck them with a severe plague. Therefore the place was named Kibroth Hattaavah,[d] because there they buried the people who had craved other food.

Why?

The Spirit came down to God's servants, so they have the wisdom and mind to serve the Lord and people, to be helpers of Moses.

Management is a complicated work so it needs wisdom and spiritual power to do it.

Those people were stuck down because they rejected the Lord and they forgot the grace free from slave in Egypt. So the anger of the Lord came upon them.

神要摩西選出70個人協助摩西，70個長老神選出來的，要有正當性，有證據證明他們是神揀選，都站在會幕四周讓百姓看見他們受感說話： 特殊的現象。帶領管理以色列民，以後沒有再說的，他們的職責是服事百姓，不是每天來說預言。

2個人沒有參加按立儀式，沒有去會幕，原因不明，也許膽卻了，但是神依然使用他們，主動降臨他們身上，無法逃避神的面，還是要順服下來。人不要去和神摔跤。這是特定的恩典，此時約書亞也沒有被神揀選。約書亞好像主持公道，摩西指出約書亞是否忌妒的心?

安鶉飛來神的怒氣發作。幾乎36小時不停的抓安鶉約有2000公升。70個長老準備做事情，相對於百姓們卻忙於捕捉安鶉，百姓起了貪慾的心 花多少時間、工作都願意，卻完全沒有想到自己是否神的心情如何。人完全沒有想到神！當人看到這麼好的機會時，人想到的卻是想大撈一筆！神最後給了，人若是出於貪心，必受審判！
