set your face against Jerusalem and preach against the sanctuary

Ezekial 20:45-21:17

Say to the southern forest: ‘Hear the word of the Lord. This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am about to set fire to you, and it will consume all your trees, both green and dry. The blazing flame will not be quenched, and every face from south to north will be scorched by it. Everyone will see that I the Lord have kindled it; it will not be quenched.’  Then I said, “Sovereign Lord, they are saying of me, ‘Isn’t he just telling parables?’

Son of man, set your face against Jerusalem and preach against the sanctuary. Prophesy against the land of Israel and say to her: ‘This is what the Lord says: I am against you. I will draw my sword from its sheath and cut off from you both the righteous and the wicked. Because I am going to cut off the righteous and the wicked, my sword will be unsheathed against everyone from south to north. Then all people will know that I the Lord have drawn my sword from its sheath; it will not return again.

“‘A sword, a sword, sharpened and polished— sharpened for the slaughter,  polished to flash like lightning! Shall we rejoice in the scepter of my royal son? The sword despises every such stick.

Cry out and wail, son of man,  for it is against my people; it is against all the princes of Israel. They are thrown to the sword  along with my people. Therefore beat your breast.

Why?
The south means the Jerusalem, Juda. 

Ezekiel said the words of the Lord made many people angry and disappointed. But we have to encourage ourselves make ourselves brave and trust in the Lord.

The judgment of the Lord is the sword of the Lord and a sword, sharpened and polished.

The judgment is for cleaners and the destruction of the Lord is a necessary procedure.

預言猶大有大災難，沒有人可以逃脫

20:49森林大火，沒有人相信。他不是說比喻嗎？認為以西結說的不會發生。

拔刀出鞘，刀要出鞘，拔刀出鞘，刀已經交給人擦亮，這刀已經磨快擦亮，好交在行殺戮的人手中。這些刀都是指巴比倫，已經在那裏，以色列人卻不當一回事。

拍腿歎息，以西結要拍掌預言，神也要拍掌：拍掌要人注意

為什麼義人和惡人一併剪除?災難一定會來臨，是指審判一定會來臨，不會因為有義人神下不了手。神不會因為有義人而姑息罪惡。

我們豈可快樂嗎？罰我子的杖藐視各樹： 我兒藐視一切的警告和勸告

有試驗的事；若那藐視的杖歸於無有。人都一直在藐視管教的杖，你為何藐視管教的杖。

人讀聖經是要提醒我們自己。
