In the Lord woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman.

 1 Corinthians 11:1-16

But I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head. 

A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. 

Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God.

Why?

Both men and women are not independent of each other. Both come from God.

Paul hopes women should cover their heads to praying or going to church. Her hair is her glory.

Everything we should put the Lord as the first priority.

How?

Take care of what I am talking about and what my dressing is. For I belong to the Lord.
