I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

 Psalm 16:1-11

I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.” I say of the holy people who are in the land, “They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight.” Those who run after other gods will suffer more and more. I will not pour out libations of blood to such gods or take up their names on my lips.

The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.

I keep my eyes always on the LordWith him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay. You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

How?

You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. This is the best blessing in my life.

Lord, Who may live on your holy mountain?

Psalm 15:1-5

Lord, who may dwell in your sacred tent?  Who may live on your holy mountain?

The one whose walk is blamelesswho does what is righteouswho speaks the truth from their heart; whose tongue utters no slanderwho does no wrong to a neighborand casts no slur on otherswho despises a vile person but honors those who fear the Lordwho keeps an oath even when it hurts, and does not change their mind; who lends money to the poor without interestwho does not accept a bribe against the innocent.

Whoever does these things will never be shaken.

Why?

Anyone who does as described above will never be shaken and may dwell in God's sacred tent.

1) personal behavior: walk blameless 3) distinguishing good and evil.

2)communication with others:  does no wrong to neighbor 4) Speak the truth and not cast a slur on others 5) Keep oath 6) Help the poor with money without interest 7) No accept a bribe against the innocent.

How?

Social behavior is more important than personal perspective. So I should walk out the good behavior before others to witness the righteousness and love of the Lord.

Do all these evildoers know nothing?

Psalm 14:1-7

The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.

The Lord looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God. All have turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.

Do all these evildoers know nothing?

They devour my people as though eating breadthey never call on the LordBut there they are, overwhelmed with dread, for God is present in the company of the righteous. You evildoers frustrate the plans of the poorbut the Lord is their refuge.

Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When the Lord restores his people,  let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!

Why?

All of the evil-doers say in their hearts "There is no God" They can do anything as they like.

All of us, no one is righteousness before the Lord. So the psalm says no one seeks God and all have turned away, for people like this world and living in the time now, the can't see the future.

Salvation for Israel came from Zion, and Jesus Christ came out from Zion.

How?

Jesus Christ is my savior, God is my way and my hope!

I trust in your unfailing love

Psalm 13:1-6

How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?
How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and day after day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me? Look on me and answer, Lord my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death, and my enemy will say, “I have overcome him,” and my foes will rejoice when I fall. But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing the Lord’s praise, for he has been good to me.

Why?

Three "how long?" expressed the desire from the Lord.

The mind and heart changed for the psalmist has faith that the Lord has unfailing love. The Lord will save us when we call on Him.

How?

My God is good, his love endures forever. Praise to the Lord no matter good and worse for God reign forever.

* For the Lord is righteous, he loves justice; the upright will see his face.

 Psalm 11:1-7

In the Lord I take refuge.  How then can you say to me:   “Flee like a bird to your mountain. For look, the wicked bend their bows;  they set their arrows against the strings to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart.

When the foundations are being destroyed,  what can the righteous do?”

The Lord is in his holy temple; the Lord is on his heavenly throne. He observes everyone on earth; his eyes examine them. The Lord examines the righteous, but the wicked, those who love violence, he hates with a passion. On the wicked he will rain fiery coals and burning sulfur; a scorching wind will be their lot.

For the Lord is righteous, he loves justice; the upright will see his face.

Why?

The Lord does not promise us that those who love justice can get many benefits, but we will see his face. See God's face is better than getting anything in this world.

When the foundations are being destroyed nothing can the righteous do. Foundation simply means the starting point of origin. There is something about the starting point of a man, and if faulty, there has to be a rule of engagement to correct it in order to see the mighty hand of God.

Laying a spiritual foundation means teaching and training our children the truth about God and his love for us. A spiritual foundation recognizes that Jesus died and rose again to provide a way for us to receive forgiveness and eternal life.

How?

Pray to the Lord to help me make a solid foundation of faith with truth and love of God.

The Lord is King for ever and ever

Psalm 10:1-18

Why, Lord, do you stand far off? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?

In his pride the wicked man does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God. His ways are always prosperous; your laws are rejected by him; he sneers at all his enemies. He says to himself, “Nothing will ever shake me.” He swears, “No one will ever do me harm.”

He says to himself, “God will never notice; he covers his face and never sees.”

Arise, Lord! Lift up your hand, O God. Do not forget the helplessWhy does the wicked man revile God? Why does he say to himself, “He won’t call me to account”? But you, God, see the trouble of the afflicted; you consider their grief and take it in hand. The victims commit themselves to you; you are the helper of the fatherlessBreak the arm of the wicked man; call the evildoer to account for his wickedness that would not otherwise be found out.

The Lord is King for ever and ever; the nations will perish from his land. You, Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry, defending the fatherless and the oppressed, so that mere earthly mortals will never again strike terror.

Why?

Hiding yourself in times of trouble is our feeling when we are in trouble.

The author prayed to the Lord to save him and the helpless.

Yes, the Lord is the helper of the fatherless. The Lord is our help.

The author cried to the Lord to help them and knew that God would care about his cry.

How?

The Lord is my helper, my hope and my way. Praise to the Lord and honor his Holy Name.

Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you

Psalm 9:1-20

I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deedsI will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High.

The Lord reigns forever; he has established his throne for judgmentHe rules the world in righteousness and judges the peoples with equity. The Lord is a refuge for the oppresseda stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek youSing the praises of the Lord, enthroned in Zion; proclaim among the nations what he has done. For he who avenges blood remembers; he does not ignore the cries of the afflicted.

But God will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish.

Arise, Lord, do not let mortals triumphlet the nations be judged in your presence. Strike them with terror, Lordlet the nations know they are only mortal.

Why?

The Lord is full of mercy and love to those who seek the Lord.

Lord has never forsaken those who seek Him, so I don't worry about what will be the next step of my home.

The foundation of the Lord is the righteousness. God revenges blood remembers.he does not ignore the cries of the afflicted.

How?

Praise the Lord, for God is good and his love endure forever
