Hebrew 5:11=6:8
We have much to say about this, but it is hard to make it clear to you because you no longer try to understand.
Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.
It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.
The writer is frustrated in what he wants to say because of his hearers' lack of understanding. They have got stuck at the ABD level in their faith. This lack of progress is bad enough in itself. But it is symptomatic of something much more serious. They are in danger of abandoning their faith altogether. So the writer give his sternest warning.
Why?
We can not always be an infant of Christian, we need to grow up to be mature in faith.
When trial comes, those who have no faith will be thrown away and fallen away.
A mature man is may distinguish good from evil.
How?
Be strong and learn from the Bible through the Holy Spirit. Keep faith in the Lord for God is good.

You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek
Hebrew 4:14-5:10
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
And no one takes this honor on himself, but he receives it when called by God, just as Aaron was. In the same way, Christ did not take on himself the glory of becoming a high priest. But God said to him, "you are my Son; today I have become your father".
And he says in another place, "You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek."
Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.
The writer moves on from Jesus as the Son of God, to Jesus, our great high priest, a title has given him nowhere else in the New Testament.
Aaron was appointed by God as the first high priest of Israel. He was the intermediary between a holy God and a sinful people, the go-between who represented each to the other. The Jewish religion - the system these Jewish Christians were tempted to return to - still had its high priest. But in Chris, the writer says, we have a high priest who fulfills all the statutory requirements, and far more, because he has no need to atone for his own sins. He is the perfect high priest appointed by God as a mediator for all tome.
Why?
We may approach God's throne of grace with confidence. This is the grace from Jesus who erases our sins through his blood. What we need is faith.
Jesus Christ is the biggest priest forever before the Lord and prays for us, this priest is appointed by the Lord instead of by Arron the man.
Jesus became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him, so anyone who obeys Jesus Christ could be saved.

Enter the rest the passport to it is faith
Hebrew 4:1-13
But the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed. Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said, “So I declared on oath in my anger, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’”
For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.
The parallel is made more explicit. The 'rest' God spoke of was more than just a stable and secure life in the land he had promised. Through the psalmist, hundreds of Years after Joshua's day God was still appealing to people to enter his rest. There is a spiritual counterpart to the promised land, and the passport to it is faith. God's resting-place has existed from the time of the creation
It is still there. We enter into that eternal rest. God's peace, as trust him and take at his word.
The writer has been arguing from God's word: now he steps back to consider it : alive, penetrating exposing everything to the One to whom all must give account.
Why?
There is another rest that is not led by Joshua, for God said to David "Today if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts."
So all of us need to make every effort to enter that rest. Be careful to perish when following the example of disobedience.
--------------------------------

Obey the word of the Lord and make every effort of faith to enter that rest.
We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end
Hebrew 3:7-19
See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end.
Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.
And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed? So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief.
This whole passage is rooted in the Greek version of Psalm. Those to whom this letter is addressed are in a very similar position to Israel at the time of the exodus. Both have seen God at work in an amazing way. But despite this, the Israelites rebelled against God in the desert. 'They did not believe' - and so a whole generation forfeited their right to enter the promised land and enjoy the rest God would have given them. Be warned. What happened then can happen now., if those who hear God's message do not accept it.
Why?
There are history shows to us Israelite unfaithful to the Lord so they could not enter the promised land. So it is the truth now if we hear the voice of the Holy Spirit, but harden our heart will be forsaken by the Lord.
All Christians have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold out original conviction firmly to the very end may enter the rest of the Lord
-----------------

And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.
Hebrews 3:1-6
Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest. He was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was faithful in all God’s house. Jesus has been found worthy of greater honor than Moses, just as the builder of a house has greater honor than the house itself. For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything. “Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house,” bearing witness to what would be spoken by God in the future. But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.
Moses made Israel into a nation. He led them out of slavery in Egypt and through the desert. He gave them God's law and their forms of worship. No one was more revered by the Jews, and rightly so. But he could never be more than God's faithful servant. Jesus is God's son.
Why?
Jesus like Moses but greater than Moses, as his faithful and his builder position.
We are the house of the Lord if we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory. How great this position God gives us through Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is our apostle and high priest, and he is higher than Moses.
We are brothers and sisters sharing in the heavenly calling for Jesus.

Four reasons for God in flesh
Hebrews 2:5-18
Four reasons for God in flesh: 1)the son of man that you care for him. 2) In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering. 3) since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death - that is, the devil. 4) In order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.
For a little while, Christ shared out human nature. Now he is crowned with glory because he willingly suffered death for our benefit, to free us from the power of death and to cleanse us of sin. It is 'as if the whole created order was designed on the principle that glory could be secured through suffering'. He is the 'pioneer', blazing the way to salvation for all who follow. What is more, because he was one of us - like us in every way - we can be sure he is able to help us.
Why?
Jesus came from heaven for our salvation became flesh living with us. So Jesus is son of man and who suffering to make atonement for the sins of the people.
What we can do is trust Jesus and accept Jesus as our salvation. It is a mystery from the Lord for all people.
---------------------

Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; Hebrews
Hebrews 1:1-2:4
In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.
But about the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.
We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. For since the message spoken through angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.
The letter begins with the most amazing statement on the nature of God's Son. Jesus is not only GOd's complete, supreme and final revelation of himself. He is the actual embodiment of the character and glory of God: the imprint of his Person; God's express image. He is the 'heir of all things', the creator and sustainer of the universe, the one who has effected God's great purpose of salvation. Through him sin has been dealt with, forgiveness made possible. His work complete, he is seated now at God's side, in the position of supreme power.
The angels themselves worship Christ. They are spiritual beings, but no more than God's servants. The Son is far and away above them - as the scriptures prove.
If the message of the angels - that is the law of Moses, how much more important is the Son's message of salvation.
Why?
Jesus is the son of the Lord, it is written in the Bible and spoken by many prophets.
If Jesus is the Son of the Lord, how can we ignore his salvation?
-------------------
