Enter the rest the passport to it is faith

Hebrew 4:1-13
But the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed. Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said, “So I declared on oath in my anger, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’”
For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God;  for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.
The parallel is made more explicit. The 'rest' God spoke of was more than just a stable and secure life in the land he had promised. Through the psalmist, hundreds of Years after Joshua's day God was still appealing to people to enter his rest. There is a spiritual counterpart to the promised land, and the passport to it is faith. God's resting-place has existed from the time of the creation
It is still there. We enter into that eternal rest. God's peace, as trust him and take at his word.
The writer has been arguing from God's word: now he steps back to consider it : alive, penetrating exposing everything to the One to whom all must give account.
Why?
There is another rest that is not led by Joshua, for God said to David "Today if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts."
So all of us need to make every effort to enter that rest. Be careful to perish when following the example of disobedience.

How?
Obey the word of the Lord and make every effort of faith to enter that rest.
