Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see

Hebrew 11:1-28
Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for.
By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did.
By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death.
By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family.
By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.
All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth.
The substance of this whole passage follows directly from 1-:39: 'We are not people who turn back... we have faith.' The faith that is needed is an ongoing confident reliance on God, come what may. To have faith is to be certain - not of the here and now, the tangible things - but about the realities we cannot see. To believe that God made the world, creating what we see from invisible resources is itself a matter of faith.
The Old Testament abounds in examples of people who won God's approval by trusting him to keep his promises, taking him at his word. The stories of how they lived and died 'in faith' stand on record and the writer run through the list of the most remarkable of these examples of faith. All of them looked forward to the time when God would fulfill his promises: none of then actually lived to see it. Their sights were set on a 'better country'. And God has a place prepared for them: he is proud to own them and be known as their God.
In answer to faith, God has given remarkable triumphs and victories. But not always. Faiths demonstrated - equally - through those who have endured imprisonment, torture and death.
Why?
Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see because we would not see it so but we trust it.
By faith, there were many people who approved God's faith and God is worthy to be worshiped.
All of us are a foreigner on earth, our life is short, but we have faith that the Lord will gives us more we can see when we follow God's way.

How?
In faith I keep going in God's word, by faith I won't afraid and I trust in Jesus Christ as my savior.
