Where is the Lord?

Jeremiah 2:1-13
Chapter 2-24 are all prophecies against Judah and Jerusalem. Jeremiah begins with a tender portrayal of 'first love':  the time when the nation was faithful to God, when God led them towards their new land, protecting them from harm.
But in Canaan Israel betrayed God. And now God states his case against them. The heathen nations are at least loyal to their idols. No so the people of the living God. Their offence is set before them in a series of vivid pictures. They prefer their own polluted water to God's fresh spring.
Where is the Lord? The priests did not ask, House of Jacob did not ask.
Israelite have committed two sins: 1) they have forsaken me, the spring of living water 2) they have dig their own cisterns, broken cisterns水箱 that cannot hold water.
Why?
Other nations fear their gods, even false gods, but Israelite forsake the living God. Under the blessing and mercy of the Lord, people forget what they received are cheap and feel it is not important. When we lost we will realize that is very important.
Israel is a chosen nation among the world by God, but they have forsaken the Lord. This is the biggest sin they committed.
How?
Where is the Lord? Do I keep this in my mind? Fear the Lord and remember the grace of the Lord, all of the world and all I have are God's creation, if I am in the Lord, I have everything. God loves me.
