For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime

Psalm 30:1-12
I will exalt you, Lordfor you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me. Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.
Sing the praises of the Lord, you saints; his faithful people; praise his holy name. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetimeweeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
When I felt secure, I said, “I will never be shaken.”  Lord, when you favored me, you made my royal mountain stand firm; but when you hid your face, I was dismayed.
You turned my wailing into dancingyou removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. Lord my God, I will praise you forever.
The events in 1 Chronicles 21 may possibly provide the background to this psalm. David wrote for the dedication of the Temple. The dark days and tearful nights when life was in danger are passed: joy has returned with the daylight. Easy times bred self-reliance. But this experience has put life into perspective and shown the psalmist his own helplessness. Now that the danger is behind him - a humbler and wiser man - he gladly and openly acknowledges his debt of gratitude.
Why?
God has given me so much love and rescued me many time, His grace are so great. I never forget God's love and favor to me.
We always forget the love or grace when we are secure, I will say "I never be shaken", but when trouble comes I was dismayed.
When God favored me, He made my mountain stand firm.

How?
Lord my God, I will praise you forever.
