Peace, peace,’ they say, when there is no peace.

Jeremiah 6:1-30

Flee for safety, people of Benjamin! Flee from Jerusalem! Sound the trumpet in Tekoa! Raise the signal over Beth Hakkerem! For disaster looms out of the north, even terrible destruction. 

This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Cut down the trees and build siege ramps against Jerusalem. This city must be punished; it is filled with oppression. As a well pours out its water, so she pours out her wickedness. Violence and destruction resound in her; her sickness and wounds are ever before me. Take warning, Jerusalem, or I will turn away from you and make your land desolate so no one can live in it.”

“From the least to the greatest, all are greedy for gain; prophets and priests alike, all practice deceit. They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. ‘Peace, peace,’ they say, when there is no peace. Are they ashamed of their detestable conduct? No, they have no shame at all; they do not even know how to blush. So they will fall among the fallen; they will be brought down when I punish them,” says the Lord.

The bellows blow fiercely to burn away the lead with fire, but the refining goes on in vain;  the wicked are not purged out. They are called rejected silver, because the Lord has rejected them.”

Why?

They said there is peace but there is no peace, for they do what they feel good and their heart is full of wicked and evil. They have religious actions but lost love.

The Lord said that Judah is called rejected silver because the Lord has rejected them. No matter how they blow fiercely to burn away the lead with fire, but the reigning goes on in vain. Because their hearts are full of wicked so it is in vain to do anything.

神向人宣戰，審判

1:v1-8 敵人已經來，趕快逃跑。原來定中午出擊，因事担擱，表示神急著要把惡除掉。罪惡推陳出新

2:9-15 全民都犯罪，找不到一個好的。神還是抱持一絲希望！粉飾太平

3:16-29 所行的都是徒然。不聽神的話，把最好的禮物拿來奉獻都沒有用！父母喜歡孩子如何?我們是否對罪已經習慣了?神一直在說北方有災難來，卻有三個你們當如何行?雖然都是紅燈，卻依然有綠燈。罪還在，沒有除掉，一切都是徒然的。耶穌就是道路、真理、生命，我們為何還要去看看其他路，想去走看看……?

Don't be a fool man but be humble and keep God's words in mind and obey the word of the Lord, fear the Lord in our daily life.
