Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them, or I will terrify you before them

 Jeremiah 1:11-19

I see the branch of an almond tree.

“I see a pot that is boiling,” I answered. “It is tilting toward us from the north.”

The Lord said to me, “From the north disaster will be poured out on all who live in the land. I am about to summon all the peoples of the northern kingdoms,” declares the Lord.

I will pronounce my judgments on my people because of their wickedness in forsaking me, in burning incense to other gods and in worshiping what their hands have made 

 “Get yourself ready! Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them, or I will terrify you before them. Today I have made you a fortified city, an iron pillar and a bronze wall to stand against the whole land—against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests and the people of the land. They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.

Why?

The almond tree is good news means a new life coming. Boiling pot is a disaster that comes from the north to destroy the kingdom and people for they have turned away from the Lord and all are wicked.

Even though the circumstance is worse, the Lord asked Jeremiah to preach God's word, so as we preach the gospel in the world today. Even most people do not listen to the good news of the Lord. But God is my shepherd and my stronghold. Keep going on.

鼓勵耶利米：所有的人要攻擊耶利米，卻不能勝過他。耶利米的含義：耶和華高舉或是我是耶和華高舉。神使他成為銅牆鐵壁，神沒有讓我們遇見主動來信靠主的，卻讓我們常常得勝、百折不屈，打不倒的。不要先怕他們，如果我們自己認為無法勝任，神就不能幫助我們，我們傳誦的是神的福音，他們沒有聽過的，不要在心理上先怕他們。不要因他們驚惶。
