Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.

Proverbs 12:1-28

Whoever loves discipline loves knowledgebut whoever hates correction is stupid.

No one can be established through wickedness, but the righteous cannot be uprooted.

A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown, but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones.

The words of the wicked lie in wait for bloodbut the speech of the upright rescues them.

Better to be a nobody and yet have a servant than pretend to be somebody and have no food.

From the fruit of their lips people are filled with good things, and the work of their hands brings them reward.

The prudent keep their knowledge to themselvesbut a fool’s heart blurts out folly.

Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.

In the way of righteousness there is life; along that path is immortality.

Why?

A kind word may cheer the broken heart.

Discipline is good for a man who loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid.

Better to be a nobody than pretend to be somebody and have no food. This is the real word.

How?

Be a wise man and speak the right word to others.
