I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.

 Acts 21:1-17

We sought out the disciples there and stayed with them seven days. Through the Spirit they urged Paul not to go on to Jerusalem.

Why?

The Holy Spirit gave sign that there is suffering in Jerusalem, but Paul still wanted to get there, why?

(徒二○:22-24)"Now I am on my way to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there. But I know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that bonds and tribulations await me. Yet I do not count my life of any account to myself, but only that I may complete my race and the ministry which I have received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God." (Acts 20:22-24)

Missionary is more important than any other, even lost the life

It can be seen that the Holy Spirit's forewarning does not mean that the Holy Spirit prohibits moving forward. The mission entrusted by God is still the most important. Or ask, what mission is so important that Paul risked his life for it? After studying this question, we found a very touching answer. It turns out that in addition to the gospel, Paul has always regarded the charity of helping the poor as his important mission. Now let us explain the whole story from the beginning.

Then Paul answered, “Why are you weeping and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.” When he would not be dissuaded, we gave up and said, “The Lord’s will be done.”

When we arrived at Jerusalem, the brothers and sisters received us warmly.

How?

Do what the mission God has given to me, to preach the gospel.
