On the first day of the seventh month they began to offer burnt offering to the Lord, though the foundation of the Lord's temple and not yet been laid.
After they got the cedar logs by sea from Lebanon to Joppa. In the second month of the second year after their arrival at the house of God in Jerusalem, they began the work.
When the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the Lord, the priests in their vestments and with trumpets, the Levites with cymbals took their places to praise the Lord. With praise and thanksgiving they sang to the Lord: "He is good, his love to Israel endures forever."
All the people gave a great shout of praise to the Lord. No one could distinguish the sound of the shouts of joy from the sound of weeping.
The first thing to be rebuilt is the altar, so that worship and sacrifice may begin again, on patter laid down by Moses.
Everything must be properly done: according to the instructions written in the Law of Moses. Everone took their places to praise the Lord.
Why?
When Israelite returned from exile they knew that the Lord is faithful and his word is never failed, what they had honor when they followed the word of Lord and what they had suffered when they did evil against the Lord. All these history make them wept and shout to the Lord.
Tasted the mercy of the Lord will really know the love of the Lord.
The Older men wept for the glories of the Temple that had been destroyed.
How?
Do not forget the love of the Love, He is good. His love, power and faithfulness endure forever.
Take our places to praise the Lord.
