Steps to arisin

Ezra 10:1-44
Ezra prayed and made confession, weeping and casting himself down before the house of God, and many Israelites wept bitterly also.
Arise, for it is your task, and we are with you; be strong and do it.
Most people agreed to separate themselves from the peoples of the land and from the foreign wives. But there are a few people opposed this.
The whole assembly gathers to hear his judgment. We see them shivering in the December rains and can almost hear the interchange that follows.
The blame for all the unhappiness of broken marriages rests not on Ezra, but who contracted those marriages in defiance 蔑視 of God's law. Some of them had even broken former marriages to Jewish wive to do so.
The list of 10:18 unlike that of Chapter 2 begins with the names of the guilty priests, those who should have given a moral lead.
The text of the second part of the sentence is damaged. 1 Esdras 9:36 supplies the divorce and sending away of wives and children, painful though it is.
Why?
Ezra first prayed to the Lord and confessing the sins, weeping for their sins.
Arising from the confessing of our own sins.
After confessed our sins then do it. It painful but it have to be done. In man's standard it was cruel and no love, but God's law is higher than my moral standard or my loving one.
How?
Confessing our sins is the first step, then do the refresh living style obey the word of God is important.
