Exodus 1:1~24
Now Joseph and all his brothers and all that generation died, but the Israelites were exceedingly fruitful; they multiplied greatly, increased in numbers and became so numerous that the land was filled with them.
Egyptians made their lives bitter with harsh labor in brick and mortar and with all kinds of work in the fields; in all their harsh labor the Egyptians worked them ruthlessly.
The midwives, however, feared God and did not do what the king of Egypt had told them to do; they let the boys live.
Then Pharaoh gave this order to all his people: “Every Hebrew boy that is born you must throw into the Nile, but let every girl live.”
Why?
Pharaoh afraid Israelites became numerous may overcome them, so he treated Israelites more ruthlessly.
But God blesses Israelites, let them fruitful, but their life were more harder.
This is the background of Moses be give birth.
How?
God is the Lord, God has his plan and chose his people to do his work.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit
Matthew 28:16-20
When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.
Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
The eleven remaining apostles return to Galilee. There Jesus, now possessing 'all authority', gives them his last command - to make disciples of all nations.
All through his Gospel Matthew has referred back to the Jewish scriptures, showing how Jesus fulfilled them. But there is nothing exclusive about the good news. And the final words of the Gospel are universal: God's kingdom is open, the invitation is extended, to people of every nation.
Why?
Father, Son and Holy Spirit : this phrase became a standard expression in the formal liturgy(禮儀) of the early church.

The guards are bribed to lie
Matthew 28:11-15
The Guards' report was instructed to 'His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep'. They took the money. And this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this very day.
The guards are bribed to lie, to say the tomb is empty because Jesus' followers tole the body while they slept.
The penalty for falling asleep on duty was death, but perhaps Pilate too could be squared with a bribe.
Why?
Bribe may obscure people's heart and lie to everything.

Remember what Jesus has done for us
Matthew 27:15~44
Which of the two do you want me to release to you?” asked the governor.
“Barabbas,” they answered.
“What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called the Messiah?” Pilate asked.
They all answered, “Crucify him!” “Why? What crime has he committed?” asked Pilate.
But they shouted all the louder, “Crucify him!”
Two rebels on the cross were mocked Jesus, so did thr priests and elders.
Why?
It is the way of God to save us from the sins and dead by the blood of Jesus.
Crowd are blind, they loved Jesus, but when He was arrested they left Him, and asked crucified Him!
How?
Remember the way of Jesus has done for us, focusing on Him and trust in Jesus to follow Him.

Judas returned the blood money
Matthew 27:1-14
When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse(悔恨) and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders. “I have sinned,” he said, “for I have betrayed innocent blood.”
Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.
The chief priests picked up the coins and said, “It is against the law to put this into the treasury, since it is blood money.”
When he was accused by the chief priests and the elders, he gave no answer, not even to a single charge—to the great amazement of the governor.
Why?
Judas found he had sinned, but it is too late. The sin is he have betrayed innocent blood.
This money is called blood money, Judas has to take his own responsibility.
Jesus is like the lamb before be killed has not any word and quiet. It is shown as the Scripture says.
How?
Do not do the thing that will regret later. Before made decision think it one more time with wisdom and love. Do it good to others.

The Scripture be fulfilled
Matthew 26:47-75
Jesus said to Judas,"Do what you came for, friend."
Jesus concerned how the Scripture be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way.
Peter swore to them "I don't know the man" three time. It is the word Jesus had spoken: "You will disown me three times."
The moment passes, Jesus accepts the path of suffering as his Father's will.
And as the mob comes out to arrest him he is once more in command. He expresses only love for the traitor. When on of his followers draws his sword and cuts off the ear of the high priest's servant, Jesus arrests the violence.
He had come to fulfill the prophecies of scripture, says Matthew. And at this point all his followers desert him as he has known they would.
Why?
The traitor Judas call Jesus Rabbi instead of the Lord, Jesus called Judas friend. Jesus treated Judas with polite and gentle, he accepted this way be arrested, but resisted be got as a rebellion. Jesus attracted many crowd with him, but they are willing come to Jesus without any violence.

Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation
Matthew 26:31-46
I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will scattered. (Zech 13:7)
Love God is not by flesh but by the heart and spirit.
Jesus prayed, "My Father, it it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will."
Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak.
On the way to their special place, the olive-orchard of Gethsemane on the Mount of Olives. Jesus prepares his followers - Peter most of all - for their own failure.
The prospect of his suffering fills Jesus with horror. It was more than the fear of a terrible death, though no reasons are given here. Peter, writing later, says that Jesus 'was bearing our sins in his own body on the cross(1 Peter 2:24).
Why?
Peter said he never not disown Jesus, even he have to die with Jesus. It was the passion but when temptation comes it is very difficulty.
Jesus was under horrible but he still pray to God "Yet not as I will, but as you will". He knew his mission and his way for the sins of us.
All of us should watch and pray so that we will not fall into temptation. For this world is evil, the evil like lion try to eat us overcome us. Only keep watching and praying everyday, may let us not fall into temptation.
Temptation may some come by the Lord, or by the Satan or by our own flesh desire.
How?
Watch and pray everyday, and humble before the Lord always.

This is my blood of the covenant
Matthew 26:14-30
Judas agrees to betray Jesus by thirty silver coins.
Jesus knew Judas will betray him on the table.
Jesus took bread gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying,"Take and eat; this is my body."
Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, "Drink fro it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."
Others said "Surely not I, Lord?" but Judas said "Surely not I, Rabbi?" Judas did not look Jesus as the Lord.
On the first evening of the festival, Jesus and his close friends meet as a family to ear the Passover meal together - and the old Passover is transformed into the Lord's Supper as the Lamb of God. prepares to lay down his life for the world.
This is as the scriptures said it would be, but that does not remove the guilt from Judas. (V24)
Why?
At this crucial moment, Judas, perhaps disillusioned(幻滅) about the kind of Messiah Jesus has turned out to be, or for some other motive, unexplained, changes sides.
To the familiar word of the blessing: Blessed art Thou, O Lord out God, King of the Universe, who bringest forth bread from the earth, Jesus adds his own startling words, 'this is my body'. He is going to be killed.
And by his death a new covenant will be made, in place of the old covenant between God and Israel made at the exodus. His blood is 'poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins'. By eating ad drinking, his disciples share in the benefits of his sacrifice.
How?
Jesus is Messiah, his blood poured out for many for the forgiveness of my sins. Thank you Jesus!

The sheep and the goats
Matthew 25:31-46
When the Son of Man comes in his glory, he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
Sheep are the righteous. Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me. Those are who hungry, thirsty, stranger, needing clothes, sick, in prison.
Whatever you did not do for one of the lease of these, you did not do for me. Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.
Goats are more than sheep. The sheep is single bit goats are plural.
The sheep and the goats. At the judgment God takes account of how each one has treated others in this life.
Why?

Matthew 25:14-30
The parable of the Talents.
God gives five talents, two talents and one talent to everyone according to their ability.
Wicked, lazy servant be throw into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. This is the role of Christian on the earth.

Why?

The wise and foolish ten virgins
Matthew 25:1-13
The parable of the ten virgins. Wise virgins took oil in jars along with their lamps. Foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them.
After the bridge groom arrived, the door was shut. There is not chance to enter the kingdom of heaven to enjoy the glory of heaven.
Keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour of the day.
The wise and foolish girls. This story makes the same point, stressing that one day time will run out. Preparedness is an individual thing. It cannot be borrowed from someone else.
Why?
Many are following Jesus but only a few are chosen.
Watch and prepare ourselves Jesus will come today. So let us be a wise servant, do what we should do. Follow the commandments: love the Lord with all my heart, all my mind and all my strength, and love my neighbor as myself.
Repent and turn to the Lord, when the day comes there is not any chance to enter the kingdom of heaven.
How?
Prepare myself and waiting for the day to come. Not one know when is the day.

The faithful and wise servant
Matthew 24:32-51
I tell you the truth, until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
No one knows about that day or hour, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
Keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their good at the proper time?
The good and bad servants. Because his return will be unexpected Jesus' followers must always be ready.
Why?
A reference to the destruction of the Temple within the lifetime of his hearers. It took place about 40 years after Jesus' prediction.
All of Christians are the servants of the Lord, all I have are belong to God. I am nothing without God. So keep watch, because the coming of the Son of Man is near and no one know the time and day. God will come in we unknown day.
Good servant do the right things and his duty anytime, anyplace and serve to anyone.
Am I a good servant before the Lord?
How?
Do my best and keep in mind that I am a servant of the Lord and waiting for the day to come.

Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather
Matthew 24:15-31
In the holy place 'the abomination that causes desolation' (Daniel 12:11) is the end of the age, the end of time. Thus could be reference to the emperor's image on the ensign carried by the Roman soldiers.
The end of the age is dreadful and terrify, there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now and never to be equaled again.
For as lightning that comes from the east is visible seen in the west, so will be the coming of the son of Man.
Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather. carcass is dead man. It is a parable that said to the situation of church.
It is a proverb, Gathering vultures are tell-tale signs of a corpse. The coming of the Son of man will be equally obvious.
At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power ad great glory.
Why?
There re not signs of the end. When the end does come, it will be clear warning signs of the destruction of Jerusalem. The rest of Jesus' teaching in this section comes in the form of parables: he uses stories to drive home the points of the previous chapter.
V 29-31:Symbolic language. In the light of 'immediately' cannot be taken literally. Jesus appears to telescope the two comings in judgment.
End of time is judgement day, it is terrify and hold on our faith. Jesus will coming on the cloud and will be seen obviously.
How?
Trust in Jesus and be aware there are many false prophets. Take chance before the end of age turn to the Jesus Christ may have the eternal life in heaven.
In the holy place 'the abomination that causes desolation' (Daniel 12:11) is the end of the age, the end of time. Thus could be reference to the emperor's image on the ensign carried by the Roman soldiers.

He who stands firm to the end will be saved
Matthew 24:1-14
Jesus mentioned the signs of the end of the age.
Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming,' I am the Christ', and will deceive many.
Many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.
Gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
This is Matthew's fifth and last teaching section. The subject is the future: the end time and Jesus' own return. A key theme here, as in chapter 23, is judgment.
Further questions follow. When will the Temple be destroyed? What indications will there be that the age is coming to an end?
The disciples must not be misled - there will be many wars and natural disaster, persecutions and false Messiahs. These are not signs of the end. There will be time for world-wide preaching of the gospel.
Why?
The disciple's admiration for the great Temple buildings lead to Jesus' astonishing prediction of its utter destruction.
There are many incredible murder things happened in Taiwan, some men killed unknown men and kids. The love of most will grow cold. People keep away from men for security, so become more cold among the people.
Reading the bible and understand the truth, then won't be deceived by false prophets.
Sign of the end age are many wars, natural disasters- earthquakes etc.
How?
Stands firm, on the rock of Jesus Christ, trust in Him and walk on his way to the end will be saved.

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord
Matthew 23:37-39
“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. Look, your house is left to you desolate.
For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’[Psalm 118:26]”
Why?
Jesus may be predicting the destruction of the city, Jerusalem.
Jesus will return in glory and judgment.
When people say Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, they acknowledged Jesus is the Lord and welcome Jesus.
Many people won't listen to the gospel, some are because of bad witness of Christian, some are caused by their stubborn heart.
How?
Jesus is the fountain of blessing, turn to Jesus will be blessed all his life.

The more important matters of the law- justice, mercy and faithfulness
Matthew 23:13-36
Seven woes to teachers of the law and Pharisees. Jesus makes seven specific charges, each introduced with the same words: woes to you...
3. blind guides. swear to the gift , he is bound by his gift. Which is greater: the gift, or the altar that makes the gift scared? And he who swears by heaven swears by God's throne and by the one who sits on it.
4. Give a tenth of your spices - mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law- justice, mercy and faithfulness.
5. clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.
6. like white washed tombs, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside our are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.
7. testify against yourselves that you are the descendants of those who murdered the prophets.
Upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.I tell you the truth, all this will come upon this generation.
Why?
The men who cared so deeply and had such patience with ordinary people - even the wicked, the weak-willed and the stupid - could not stomach the religious sham, the self-righteous pride, the hair-splitting pedantry he saw in these Pharisees and scribes. Do as they say, he tells the crowd and his followers, but not as they do.
New converts are often more fervent(熱切) than those brought up in the faith.
Tombs were specially white-washed for Passover to prevent people inadvertently touching them and becoming ceremonially defiled.
How?
Keep clean inside then it is clean outside. for everything is come from the heart. Justice, mercy and faithfulness are most important.

Whoever humbles himself will be exalted
Matthew 23:1-12
You have only one Master and you are all brothers. Do not to be called 'Rabbi'
You have one Father, and he is in heaven. Do not call anyone on earth 'father'
You have one Teacher, the Christ. Do not be called 'teacher'
The greatest among you will be your servant. For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
You must obey them, the teachers of the law and the Pharisees, and do everything the tell you, but do not do what they do.
Moses' seat/chair: Meaning they are the authorized interpreters of the law God gave through Moses.
Teacher word is used today of a 'professor'
Why?
Obey the commandments of the Lord but do not follow what the Pharisees do, for they do not response what they preaching. There are different between doing and knowing.
Humble myself is the basic altitude of Christian. For I am nothing without Jesus.
Even I be called teacher in my office, do not forget to serve my staff. I am not really teacher but a coworker.
Jesus launches into a scathing attack on Israels legalistic, but much-respected religious leaders.
How?
Be humble and serve others for Jesus is the Lord, my master is the Lord.

The greatest two commandments
Matthew. 22:23~46
At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in.
About the resurrection of the dead—have you not read what God said to you, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead but of the living.
which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.
Whose son is Messaiah?
Why?
Those people asked Jesus and defeat Jesus. But they failed, while it also help us to know the truth from Jesus.
We understood the resurrection of dead and the greatest commandment. And Jesus is the God.
Love my neighbor is the action among my life and my living places, do not have go too far away. Let us no excuse say I can't

Matthew22:15~22
Teacher,” they said, “we know that you are a man of integrity and that you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. You aren’t swayed (搖動)by others, because you pay no attention to who they are.
So give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.
But Jesus, knowing their evil intent, said, “You hypocrites, why are you trying to trap.
Render, give back,給予,交付
Why?
Jesus is integrity and good teacher with the truth from God, he was recognized by the hypocrites, but they refuse to believe in Jesus. They try to trap Jesus, the evil planning. Jesus knew their intension.
Jesus replied smart and reasonable.
Earned from the world give it back to the world, it is the taxes. but received from God, life, mercy and love should feedback to the Lord.
How?
Always humble, feel deep indebted and be grateful to the Lord in everything.

For the many are invited, but few are chosen
Matthew 22:1-14
The parable of the wedding banquet: The guest of kingdom of heaven are invited, but they refuse to come. They are the Israelites, the Jews. So the people outside on the street be invited into the banquet of the king.
For the many are invited, but few are chosen: Even many people were chosen to the banquet of the king but they do not ready for their altitude, they do not respect the king, they do their own way.
V 11-13: are a warning to the newcomers. Those who come must come on God's terms.
Why?
Many Christians are come to church but they are walking on their way, one day, the final judgement, they will be trough out to the darkness.
No all the people come to church are really good Christians.
Jesus' parable of the guests invited to the wedding feast illustrate what he had just said.
The day will come when God no longer invites those who repeatedly refuse him. The invitation will go to others.
Wedding garment: Not special wedding clothes but clean clothes for a special occasion.
How?
Be careful for the man are invited, but few are chosen. When I got the mercy of Jesus, do the right thing to honor God's Holy Name.

Two parables to the mock obedience men
Matthew 21:28-46
The two parables of the tow sons and tenants. Point out the chief priests and elders they won't enter the kingdom of heaven.
The stone be builders rejected has become the capstone, the Lord has one this, and it is marvelous in out eyes. (Psalm 118:22,23)
Two sons: The first represents the social outcasts, who have made a genuine response to John and to Jesus; the second the religious leaders, with their mock obedience.
The vineyard (the nation of Israel whose owner is God: Isaiah 5:1-7). The men to whom God has entrusted spiritual leadership have abused the prophets and are about to kill his Son.
Jesus transfers the picture from Israel to himself - cast aside, crucified by his own people, but reinstated by God.
Why?
Jesus knew he will be crucified by his own people, but he will be the stone of salvation to those who believed in Him.
This is the stone of way, truth and life.
How?
Jesus is my Lord, obey God's word and have action on it. Praise to the Lord!

The authority of Jesus questioned
Matthew 21:23-27
The authority of Jesus questioned: Jesus did not directly reply the chief priests and the elders question, but Jesus asked them where did John's baptism come from? and was it from heaven, or from men?
The question asked by the chief priests and elders is natural, in the light of what has happened.
In the three parables that follow, his critics find themselves under fire.
Why?
Jesus makes no direct answer, but it is clear that he and John derive their authority from the same source.
Jesus is wise and smart to send back the question to them, even he says his authority drives from heaven, then won't believe Him. They don't believe in John so they won't believe in Jesus neither.
Answer question need to care what they care about? Do they really want my answer or just try to find some evidence to attack me?
How?
Jesus has authority from heaven, but not from men. So He is the Lord, my Savior and my hope!

Fig tree is a symbol of the Temple, for its ritual is spiritually barren
Matthew 21:1-22
It was spring, and people from far and near were crowding into Jerusalem for Passover, the great feast commemorating the nation's liberation from Egypt. Not all could find lodgings in the city itself. Jesus and his friends stayed at nearby Bethany, where Martha, Mary and Lazarus had their home. Each day they walked the two miles into Jerusalem. over the shoulder of the Mount of Olives and down through the thick groves of trees.
Jesus sat on donkey(the colt) to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet of Zechariah 9:9
"Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!" the crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted.
My house will be called a house of prayer, but you are making it a den of robbers. Jesus at the temple drove out all who were buying and selling there.
From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise? (Psalm 8:2)
The fig tree withered : When Jesus was hungry, he found nothing on it except leaves. Jesus said to it, "May you ever bear fruit again." If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.
Having entered the city in triumph as the Messiah. Jesus shows his authority in the Temple, the nation's central shrine.
His dramatic overturning of the money-changers' tables is a major demonstration against the commerce and big business that had taken over 'God's house of prayer'.
Why?
Prepare ourselves when Jesus needs to use us. Serve the Lord sometimes in our inconvenience time.
Jesus name are be proclaimed among Gentiles and Children.
Church is the house of prayer not for business.
The blind and lame are welcomes and healed by Jesus. And children recognize what the religious officials are blind to, as they chant the earlier tributes of the crowds.
The fig-tree: Jesus' action is generally taken as symbolic. The fig which bears no fruit is good for nothing but destruction. From the context, it seems we are meant to see the tree as a symbol the Temple which, for all its ritual, is spiritually barren. Jesus uses the incident as an object lesson on the power of faith, God is able to do the impossible.
How?
Check my life and my faith, does it like ritual lacks love and fruits?

What do you want me to do for you?
Matthew 20:29-34
Two blind men receive sight!
Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!
The crowd rebuked the and told them to be quiet.
Jesus stopped and called them, "What do you want me to do for you? he asked. "Lord, we want out sight." they answered.
Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes.
Mark and Luke mention only one blind man - perhaps because Peter, who probably supplied the information, knew Bartimaeus personally.
Why?
Two blind men knew who is Jesus, He is the Lord, the Son of David.
The crowd rebuked two blond men, they had not mercy heart.
Jesus has compassion on everyone who calls on him name.
Jesus touched their eyes, it is a healing process that let two blind men feel the love and the effect.
How?
Jesus has full compassion on us who call on his holy name! Help other with compassion!

Rulers in heaven who serve others
Matthew 20:20-28
The rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them and their high officials exercise authority over them.
The ruler in heaven. whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave - just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
The disciples are taken up with their own status. The place at the top is reserved for the disciple who - like the master - is prepared to live for others and if need be to die for them.
Why?
The kingdom of heaven is for the humble.
How?
Serve God by serving people! Serve others.

The Jesus is walking on his way to Jerusalem
Matthew 20:17-19
Now Jesus was going up to Jerusalem. On the way, he took the Twelve aside and said to them, “We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!
Jesus again predicts His death. This is the third times.
Why?
Jesus knew what will be happened, but he was so calm and obeyed his mission to Jerusalem.
All of his prediction are come truth. He is the Son of God, Son of Man, be crucified and raised to life three days later.
Only Jesus can conquer the death, so He is my savior and my God.
How?
Jesus saw his way is difficulty but he was courage to face it and walked on it.

All will be equal in heaven
Matthew 20:1-16
Parable of the workers in the Vineyard.
The principle of God's mercy: 1)God's choice, 2)The pride is God given, and 3)We are sons of the Lord, we have not right to ask for wages, we are not the workers.
Don't I have the right to do what I what with own money? Or are you envious because I am generous?
So the last will be first, and the first will be last. All Christians have the mercy from the Lord get the eternal life, but everyone has different role on the world.
The time are 9 a.m. (the third hour), 12 noon(6 hour), 3 p.m.(11 hour) and 5 p.m. - and hour before sunset, which was when the men were paid for the day;s work.
Why?
This story, illustrating Jesus' words in 19:30,comes only in Matthew. He is not talking about pay structures, or saying that all will be equal in heaven. The point is that many who expect to be made much of will be in for a rude shock in God's kingdom.
God will honor some very unexpected people. Eternal life is for all who will receive it: 'good' and 'bad', young and old.
The remarkable thing is the landowner's - not his unfairness.
How?
God is the Lord who has the authority to made the way for each one and in the kingdom of heaven all are equal.
