Leviticus 9:1-24
On the eighth day Moses called Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel and he said to Aaron for sing offering and burnt offering, say to the people of Israel for sin offering, and peace offerings to sacrifice before the Lord and grain offering mixed with oil.
Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people and blessed them, and he came down from offering the sin offering and the burnt offering and the peace offerings. And Moses and Aaron went into the tent of meeting, and when they came out they blessed the people, and the glory of the Lord appeared to all the people. And fire came out from before the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the pieces of fat on the altar, and when all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces.
The order if their first sacrifices is significant:
1. A sin-offering: obtaining cleansing and forgiveness.
2. A burnt-offering of dedication to God.
3. A peace-offering fellowship and communion with God is restored and enjoyed.
Why?
It is the command called from Moses who knows the heart of the Lord and asked Aaron and his sons to server the Lord commanded for their service.
When sin offering, burnt offering and people’s sin offering and peace offering are done, fire came out from before the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the pieces of fat on the altar and all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces. They knew the Lord is real and living before them. People are fear the Lord and gives honor to the Lord.
How?
My God is a living God, with full of love and righteousness. Give honor to the Lord and humble myself, what I have is the grace of the Lord.
