You rebelled against the Lord’s command and in your arrogance you marched up into the hill country.

Deuteronomy 1:34-46

Because of you the Lord became angry with me also and said, “You shall not enter it, either. But your assistant, Joshua son of Nun, will enter it. Encourage him, because he will lead Israel to inherit it.

Then you replied, “We have sinned against the Lord. We will go up and fight, as the Lord our God commanded us.” So every one of you put on his weapons, thinking it easy to go up into the hill country.

So I told you, but you would not listen. You rebelled against the Lord’s command and in your arrogance you marched up into the hill country. The Amorites who lived in those hills came out against you; they chased you like a swarm of bees and beat you down from Seir all the way to Hormah. You came back and wept before the Lord, but he paid no attention to your weeping and turned a deaf ear to you.  And so you stayed in Kadesh many days—all the time you spent there.

Why?

Israelites didn't listen to the word of the Lord, so they were failed before the Enemies. Even Moses could not enter the promised land.

You rebelled against the Lord’s command and in your arrogance, you marched up into the hill country. Because of people's arrogance, man is easy to make decisions by his own way and concept.

1.可以進入應許之地的是婦女和小孩，加勒，約書亞，看你們是依靠自己還是神。所有戰士反而無法進入。

2.摩西也無法進應許之地。摩西在神的話語中加自己的意思，用敲的摩西用打杖打磐石。

3.會眾本來不去打仗，被神責罵，現在他們接受了。原來是怕打敗，後來願意去是因為怕被懲罰，不是他們相信神。所以後來神阻止他們，他們還是不聽！打敗回來在神面前哭，神就不聽他們。所以他們是否聽是看自己喜歡不喜歡。神的話不是透過自己評斷後是否聽，而是不管是否都聽。神不是不接受人的悔改，而是他們不是悔改。

 神用雲柱火柱帶領他們，他們卻不感恩，以為理所當然。只有在曠野才是最好的學校，曠野好像一無所有，卻是樣樣都有。無論在一無所有的地方或是在豐盛的地方也要知道這是神的供應，好像樣樣都有，若不依靠主，忘記神的恩典，也會變成一無所有。任何處境都依靠神！
