Why, Lord, do you reject me and hide your face from me?

 Psalm 88:13-18

But I cry to you for help, Lordin the morning my prayer comes before you. Why, Lord, do you reject me and hide your face from me?

From my youth I have suffered and been close to death; I have borne your terrors and am in despair. Your wrath has swept over me; your terrors have destroyed me. All day long they surround me like a flood; they have completely engulfed me. You have taken from me friend and neighbor— darkness is my closest friend.

There is no one to turn to but God. He is in the grip of the blackest depression. Yet faith lives on - what else could account for his persistent cry to God?

Why?

The psalmist under such situations still prays to the Lord with his persistent faith in God.

This psalmist pray to the Lord in the morning every day, Why, Lord, do you reject me and hide your face from me? God has his schedule, we are a man, we could not see the Lord and understand what the way is the Lord. First is trust in the Lord and in the Lord, there is peace and comfort in Spirit.

How?

Keep praying in the morning and waiting for the great thing from the Lord!
