I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God

 John 20:1-18

Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him!

So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb. Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. He bent over and looked in at the strips of linen lying there but did not go in. Then Simon Peter came along behind him and went straight into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus’ head. The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen. Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed. (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.) Then the disciples went back to where they were staying.

Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus’ body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot.

“They have taken my Lord away,” she said, “and I don’t know where they have put him.” At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.

Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!”

Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

This Gospel gives a personal account of what happened - what John heard and saw for himself, and what he learned from Mary Magdalene.

Why?

Mary loved Jesus so he went to the tomb to memorize Jesus, but she found Jesus raised from the dead.

Peter and John hurry to get there and found strange things happening.

Jesus was raised from the dead, he conquered the dead so we have hope could get eternal life.

耶穌復活的日子。抹大拉的瑪利亞迫不及待的想為耶穌做些事情。

如果耶穌屍體被偷走，為何細麻布，頭巾會留在那裏?應該是整個抬走。

門徒彼得、約翰和瑪利亞的反應不同，門徒看見就信了，信瑪利亞所說的，相信屍體不見了。彼得、約翰沒有特別記載他們的反應。瑪利亞一直在哭！弟兄比較理性，姊妹比較感性。

耶穌體諒姊妹的心，用話安慰她！傷心1)耶穌死了，2)耶穌屍體不見了。瑪利亞完沒有想到耶穌復活的出現，即用人的方法想耶穌！我們不曾想到神的作為到什麼程度！

耶穌要瑪利亞不要摸他。耶穌與門徒、瑪利亞的關係改變為弟兄姊妹。現在不是逗留在耶穌面前的時候，有更重要的事是去告訴門徒。享受復活的主同在很重要，但是更重要是把耶穌復活的消息告訴人。我們能夠與耶穌同為後裔、弟兄！
