1 King 7:1-12
It took Solomon thirteen years, however, to complete the construction of his palace.
He built the throne hall, the Hall of Justice, where he was to judge, and he covered it with cedar from floor to ceiling. And the palace in which he was to live, set farther back, was similar in design. Solomon also made a palace like this hall for Pharaoh’s daughter, whom he had married.
All these structures, from the outside to the great courtyard and from foundation to eaves, were made of blocks of high-grade stone cut to size and smoothed on their inner and outer faces. The foundations were laid with large stones of good quality, some measuring ten cubits and some eight.
Solomon builds the House of the Forest of Lebanon - a great hall paneled in cedar where weapons and golden vessels were stored - the Hall of Pillars, Hall of Judgment, and palaces for himself and for the pharaoh's daughter. This may also have housed the rest of the harem.
Why?
Because Solomon is rich and prosperous so he spent many resources on the nation to build the palace for himself, the palace for Pharaoh's daughter, and others.
Solomon built his palace thirteen years more than building the Temple.
If Solomon obeys the word of the Lord all his work is blessed by the Lord, if he does not follow the decrees of the Lord all he has are gone soon.
How?
The blessing and joy and peace are the grace of the Lord, focus on the Lord is the fountain of blessing in this world.
