Isaiah 2:22-3:15
Stop trusting in mere humans, who have but a breath in their nostrils. Why hold them in esteem?
See now, the Lord, the Lord Almighty, is about to take from Jerusalem and Judah both supply and support: all supplies of food and all supplies of water, the hero and the warrior, the judge and the prophet, the diviner and the elder, the captain of fifty and the man of rank, the counselor, skilled craftsman and clever enchanter.
Jerusalem staggers, Judah is falling; their words and deeds are against the Lord, defying his glorious presence.
The Lord takes his place in court; he rises to judge the people. The Lord enters into judgment against the elders and leaders of his people: “It is you who have ruined my vineyard; the plunder from the poor is in your houses. What do you mean by crushing my people and grinding the faces of the poor?” declares the Lord.
Why?
No trusting in mere humans but relying on the Lord. Humans have breath in their nostrils only.
When the Lord's anger burst out, the Lord Almighty destroys everything in the world.
What I have and what I can do are the gift of the Lord, without the Lord I have nothing.
Be humble and be more humble, I have no right to judge anyone or anything.
How?
I have to learn how to be a real man with love and mercy and wisdom and closer to the Lord!
