Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised

Isaiah 9:8-10:4

All the people will know it—Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria—who say with pride and arrogance of heart, “The bricks have fallen down, but we will rebuild with dressed stone; the fig trees have been felled, but we will replace them with cedars.”

But the Lord has strengthened Rezin’s foes against them and has spurred their enemies on. Arameans from the east and Philistines from the west have devoured Israel with open mouth.

But the people have not returned to him who struck them, nor have they sought the Lord Almighty. So the Lord will cut off from Israel both head and tail,  both palm branch and reed in a single day; the elders and dignitaries are the head, the prophets who teach lies are the tail. Those who guide this people mislead them and those who are guided are led astray. Therefore the Lord will take no pleasure in the young men, nor will he pity the fatherless and widows, for everyone is ungodly and wicked, every mouth speaks folly.

Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised. 

Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless.

Why?

Even the Lord has warned people of Ephraim and Samaria, but their leader and headers are arrogant of their hearts.

So the anger of the Lord is not turned away, his hand is still upraised.

Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of God's people.

The heart and deeds are the Lord's concern, so the anger of the Lord came upon them.

從另外一個角度來看

1)雖然如此，12節17節 21節 11章4節出現4次，4波災難臨到北國   北國心裏驕傲，無論發生什麼事，他們都可以處理，且更好，這是在和神嗆！

2)利汛的敵人，利汛是指北國，人依靠什麼，就在什麼事上跌倒，宗教和領導領袖的敗壞，帶領百姓走錯路。連少年人、孤兒、寡婦神都不憐憫，因為都行不義。有權柄卻爛用

3)18-21節 罪惡的影響力如大火一般，戰爭導致連食物也沒有了，人人只顧自己。自己吃自己的肉，內部相咬相吞，攻擊自己弟兄：南國。如今天教會如果內鬥，就是內耗。內爭、內耗

4)10:1-4 掌握權利的人，設立惡法來掠奪百姓，人不承認自己行惡，合理化、合法化。行惡合理化。

神的懲罰是一波一波的，災難一次比一次加重，這是神的憐憫，希望人可以回轉，歸回！
