Acts 21:27-40
When the seven days were nearly over, some Jews from the province of Asia saw Paul at the temple. They stirred up the whole crowd and seized him, shouting, “Fellow Israelites, help us! This is the man who teaches everyone everywhere against our people and our law and this place.
The whole city was aroused, and the people came running from all directions. Seizing Paul, they dragged him from the temple, and immediately the gates were shut.
As the soldiers were about to take Paul into the barracks, he asked the commander, “May I say something to you?” “Do you speak Greek?” he replied. “Aren’t you the Egyptian who started a revolt and led four thousand terrorists out into the wilderness some time ago?”
Paul answered, “I am a Jew, from Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of no ordinary city. Please let me speak to the people.” After receiving the commander’s permission, Paul stood on the steps and motioned to the crowd. When they were all silent, he said to them in Aramaic.
Why?
The Jews stirred up the whole crowd and seized Paul, they misunderstood the truth, and they thought their laws were higher than any other. So they didn't believe Jesus was the Son of the Lord, and they missed salvation. But they didn't know.
The Prophets said about Paul are correct, but Paul did not fear this, Paul devoted his life to the Lord. Paul is the real missionary.
Paul did not worry about what happened but grasped the chance to explain to the crowd what is the truth.
When they were all silent, he said to them in Aramaic. Paul never gave up on preaching the gospel even after the aroused and his dangerous situation. Paul doesn't care about his life but about the Name of Jesus Christ.
How?
How can we compare with Paul, Paul is our good example before the Lord and our living style.
