Mercy triumphs over judgement

James 2:1-13
As believers in our glorious Lord Jesus, don't show favoritism.
God has chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him.
Love your neighbor as yourself. But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreaker.
Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom, because judgement without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgement.
Why?
It is a natural human tendency to defer to social superior and despise those below us on the social scale. There is nothing Christian about this. The right thing is to treat everyone with equal respect.
Christ's law is a law of mercy, freeing people from the penalty of sin- something the law of Moses could no do.
Matthew 6:14-15, 18:21-25- Merciful to others then he has mercy from the Lord.
How?
I have much mercy from the Lord so I should forsake my selfish mind but follow the command of the Lord ; love my neighbor as myself. Who are my neighbor- all peoples live around me.
