Psalm 89 38-52
A the end of this song, psalmist cried out to the Lord they have suffered and rejected from the Lord.
The angry with his anointed one: renounced the covenant with your servant, put an end to his splendor and cast his throne to the ground, cut short the days of his youth; covered him with a mantle of shame.
Remember how fleeting is my life. For what futility you have created all men! What man can live and not see death, or save himself from the power of the grave?
Remember, Lord, how your servant has been mocked, how I bear in my heart the taunts of all the nations.
Praise be to the Lord forever! Amen and Amen.
The tone change dramatically. God is accused of breaking faith with his king.
Where now are the promises of old? Where are the proofs of former love? How long...?
Why?
Verse 52 is not related to what has gone before.
The God does not breaking the covenant with his servant, but because of their rebellion and turned away from the Lord to other gods, so the angry of the Lord poured upon them. These were the punishment form the Lord.
The Lord keep the throne of Jesus Christ, instead of the throne of Israel on the earth. A few hundred years later, the nation of Israel was rebuilt again.
When a nation or a man leave the Lord there are not any safety and peace in his country or his heart.
How short a man of his life is on the world, how futility he is? The real value of a man is rely on the Lord and trust in Him.
How?
Pray to the Lord, Remember his mercy and love to his created all men, let them turn from sin and praise the Lord. Trust in Him, He is the Lord.
