Thank God!

2 Kings 25:1-30
Jerusalem was besieged by king of Babylon,  Nebuchadnezzar, 7 months later the famine in the city had become so severe that there was no food for the people to eat. Then the city wall was broken through and whole army fled at night through the gate between the two walls near the king's garden.
Nebuchadnezzar killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes. Then they put out his eyes, bound him with bronze shackles and took him to Babylon.
Ten years later, on the seventh day of the fifth month, in the 19 years of Nebuchadnezzar , commander of the imperial guard, an official of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem. He set fire to the temple of the Lord, the royal palace and all the houses of Jerusalem. Every important building he burned down. He carried into exile the people who remained in the city.
The commander of the imperial guard broke up the bronze pillars and took away all movable articles in the temple of the Lord.
Gedaliah is murdered and the people escape to Egypt to avoid the inevitable wrath of Babylon, taking the prophet Jeremiah with them.
Under a new king in Babylon 35 years later. Jehoiachin, the deposed king of Judah, is released from prison and kindly treated.
The Lost Ark.
Why?
The situation and the processing are whole predicted by the Lord and has been told to Israelite through prophets. No one of God's word is missed.
The temple of the Lord was been destroyed, it is disappeared from history. Jeremy has time to hidden it. When he was released at Ramah from Nebuzaradan commander of the imperial guard and before he was enforced to escape to Egypt if the Ark did not be destroyed.
In those days, when your numbers have increased greatly in the land, " declared the Lord," men will o longer say,'The ark of the covenant of the lord'. It will never enter their minds or be remembered; it will not be missed, or will another one be made.(Jeremiah 3:16)
How?
Finally the kingdom of Judah is ended by Babylonian. Actually it is ended by the wrath of the Lord for their ow sins. The Lord knows that human being is wicked and weak, so he let Jesus to be our savior. Jesus is coming, more important is do you believe in Him. Jesus is the best gift to all human being.

He is the Lord, Jehovah

2 Kings 23:31-24:20
Jehoahaz was 23 years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem 3 months. He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, just as his fathers  had done.
Egypt Pharaoh Neco carried him off to Egypt, and there he die.
Jehoiakim was 25 years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem 11 years. He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, just as his fathers had done.
The Lord sent Babylonian, Aramean, Moabite and Ammonite raiders against him. He sent them to destroy Judah, in accordance with the word of the Lord proclaimed by his servants the Prophets.
Jehoiachin was 11 years old when he became king, and he reigned Jerusalem 3 months . He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, just as his father had done.
At that time the officers of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon advanced on Jerusalem and laid siege to it. Jehoiachin, his mother, his attendants, his nobles and his officials all surrendered to him. Nebuchadnezzar  remove all the treasures from the temples of the Lord and from the royal palace, and He carried into exile all Jerusalem:all the officers and fighting men, and all the craftsmen and artisans- a total of ten thousand.
Nebuchadnezzar made Mattaniah, Johoiachin's uncle, king in his place and changed his name to Zedikiah. When he was 21 years old became king in Jerusalem, he reigned there 11 years. He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, just as his father had done.
Jehoiakim and Zedikiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
Why?
All of these kings are did evil in the eyes of the Lord, the Lord sent prophets to warmed them but no one listened to the words of the Lord.
All of these things happened as the words of the Lord through his servants, the prophets.
How?
The Lord is righteous and full of mercy, he reigns all universal and heaven. He is the only Lord in the world and heaven.
Please clean my mind and my heart, let me could stand before the Lord and pray in the name of Jesus.

The best choice in my life

2 Kings 23:1-30
King Josiah renewed the covenant in the presence of the Lord, with the men of Jerusalem the priests and the prophets- all the people from the least to the greatest. All the people pledged themselves to the covenant.
He remove all of articles made for Ball and Asherah and all the starry hosts.
Neither before nor after Josiah was there a king like him who turned to the Lord as he did- with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his strength, in accordance with all the Law of Moses.
Josiah did as the prophet said in 1 Kings 13:2, the Lord has known the history will be in Israel and Judah.
Josiah comes a purge of public places, ridding the land of objects associated with pagan worship. The lean-up extends beyond Judah to former Israelite territory.
The neglected Feast of Passover is celebrated once more and private malpractices are dealt with.
Nevertheless, the lord did not turn away from the heat of his fierce anger
Why?
God's judgement is delayed bur nor reversed: the nation's heart is not changed by the king's reforms.
According to the written in this chapter, the kings of Judah and Israel did so many detestable thing against the Lord, the whole country and whole Jerusalem and in the temple of the Lord are filled with detestable idols and relative articles. So the God's judgement and heat of his fierce angry did not turn away. People's heart of Judah is not changed for the reforms of king.
King's authority can not control all the heart of his people, king could be a leader of politic or model of living in his people. Change a culture or tradition need longer time.
How?
The Lord is a sovereign Lord across the time and space. He knows everyone's heart and mind. Nothing can hide before Him. Confess our sins honest and obey his words and commands is the best choice of a man.

Jesus is my way, my truth and my life

2 Kings 22:1-20
Josiah reigned 31 years. The writer portrays him as the best of Judah's kings, loyal to God and his laws and carrying out through-going religious reform. A book of the law (probably a copy of Deuteronomy) is found in the course of repairing the Temple.
Reading it reveals that the nation has broken covenant with God, incurring the statutory penalties for such disloyalty. But the faithfulness of the king is taken into account.
Josiah was eight years old when he became king. His mother's name was Jedidah daughter of Adiah; she was from Bozkath.
Josiah sent the secretary, Shaphan, to the temple of the Lord. HE said :"Go up to Hilkiah the high priest and have him get ready the money that has been brought into the temple of the Lord, have them entrust in to the men appointed to supervise the work on the temple.
Josiah heard the words of the Book of the Law, he tore his robes and gave order to Priest king;s attendants, officials, 'Go and inquire of the Lord for me and for the people and for all Judah about what is written in this book that has been found.
Why?
The king Josiah reigned Judah when he was 8 years old, so his mother played important role. He didn't affected by his father. A woman plays important role in the king, his son.
The book of law is found in the Temple, it might be hidden by some God's servant or priest, it was closed for at east 55 years in age of Manasseh.
Anyone who repent and turn to the Lord, the mercy of the Lord is come upon him, not matter what happened on him. The Lord is full of mercy, he is righteous and hope everyone turn to Him.
This is what the Lord said to Jeremiah," Tell them everything I command you; d not omit a word. Perhaps they will listen and each will turn from his evil way. Then I will relent and not bring on them the disaster I was planning because of the evil they have done."(Jeremiah 26:2-3)
How?
Come to the presence of the Lord, no matter what I did, no matter who I am, the salvation of Jesus is come upon me as who I am.
Serve the Lord is more easy than serve man, for the Lord has more mercy when we walk on his way and obey his words. The most difficulty is our inner sin have to be conquered. The only way is trust in Jesus.

Choose to serve God

2Kings 21:1-26
The worst king Manasseh reigned in Jerusalem 55 years. He did much evil in the eyes of the Lord, provoking him to anger. Manasseh led Judah astray, so that they did more evil than the nations the Lord had destroyed before the Israelites.
Manasseh also shed so much innocent blood that he filled Jerusalem from end to end.
Amon became king when he was 22 years old, He did evil in the eyes of the Lord,  as his father had done. he reigned in Jerusalem two years. Amon's official conspired against hi and assassinated the king in his palace.
Manasseh is to Judah what king Ahab was to Israel. And bring Judah to the point of no return; a degradation worse than that of the Canaanite nations the Israelies had destroyed. The prophets declare God's inevitable judgment. Jerusalem will share the fate of Samaria.
Why?
Hezekiah did not spend time to teach his son Manasseh walk in the way of the Lord, May be he just enjoyed his last 15 years in Jerusalem and built many constructions.
Manasseh bring Judah to the point of o return, the people of Judah complete change of heart before end of Mannaseh's life.
To do the right thing and rebuild the root of justice in a nation spend a lot of time and effort, but destroy it very easy. The heart of Manasseh complete against the Lord and did what he looks fit.
How?
Ever one have to bear his own sin when the last day and judgement comes. All we have done will be written in the book of remembrance.
Choose to serve God, choose to honor God and choose to remember God did for us.

Faithful Prayer

2 Kings 20:1-21
Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. Isaiah went to him and said, he is going to die. Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord, "remember, O Lord, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what s god in your eyes." And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
The Lord answer through Isaiah told Hezekiah, his ill will be healed and gave Hezekiah more 15 years life.
Hezekiah asked Isaiah a sign for this healing, "Have the shadow go back ten steps. And the Lord made the shadow go back ten steps on the stairway of Ahaz.
The messengers came with letters and a gift from King of Babylon. Hezekiah  show him all the treasure in his palace and all in his kingdom. Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, "Hear the word of the Lord: The time will surely come when everything in your palace, and all that your fathers have stored up until this day, will be carried off to Babylon. And some of your descendants, your own flesh and blood that will be taken away, and they will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.
Hezekiah replied, "The word of the Lord is good. Will there not be peace and security in my lifetime"
Why?
This is one of a number of Old Testament stories in which God 'changes his mind', taking a more lenient course of action in response to people's pleas.
Babylon at this time was a small state south of Assyria, looking for allies. Isaiah predicts its future power, and the fate of Judah.
A Poultice of figs: Then the routine treatment for ulcers and boils.
Hezekiah heard the words from Isaiah, he committed hi fault: proud, so he said the words of the Lord is good. And he thought these disasters will happen after his life, it is not his business.
How?
The length of life is in hands of the Lord, human being can not do anything. But wholehearted prayer sometime may change mind of the Lord. And Jesus give us the right of prayer. Faithful prayer is delight to the Lord.

Out Lord is the living God

2 Kings 19:13-37
Hezekiah received the letter from the messengers and read it. Then he went up to the temple of the Lord and spread it our before the Lord, he prayed to the Lord.
He asked the Lord deliver them from hands of Assyria, so that all kingdoms on earth may know that you alone, O Lord , are God.
The Lord sent a message to Hezekiah through Isaiah, the Lord will against the king Assyria, Sennacherib. The Lord give the sign for Judah,'This year you will eat what grows by itself, ad the second year what springs from that. but in the third year sow and reap plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
I will defend this city and save it, for my sake and for the sake of David my servant. declares the Lord.
Why?
Hezekiah has faith in the Lord, he prayed to the Lord when he has trouble.
Left up the name of the Lord, let all kingdoms on earth may know that you alone is God. This is our living purpose which the Lord gives his servant.
My may pray to the Lord and ask the Lord give us a sign when the Lord answer it.
How?
Jesus is my savior, the Lord is my only God, he is worthy to praise and worship in my life. Preach gospel and do good witness everyday. Our Lord is a living God.

Trust in Him, Don't be afraid of what I have heard

2 Kings 19:1-13
When King Hezekiah heard this, he tore his clothes and put on sackcloth and went into the temple of the Lord. He sent his palace administrator, the secretary and the leading priests, all wearing sackcloth, to the prophet Isaiah. The told Isaiah pray for the remnant that still survives. It may be that the Lord your God will hear all the words of the field commander, whom his master, has sent to ridicule the living God, and that he will rebuke him for the words the Lord your God has heard.
When King Hezekiah's officials came to Isaiah, Isaiah said to them: "Do not be afraid of what you have heard-those words with which the underlings of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me. Listen! I am going to put such a spirit in him that when he hears a certain report he will return to his own country, and there I will have him cut down with the sword."
King of Assyria attacked Libnah, he sent messengers to Hezekiah with his word, said again words to threaten Judah.
Why?
Crisis bring out the best in Hezekiah. God answers his prayer and vindicates his trust.
Real faith in the Lord usually show up in crisis and persecution, for the king Hezekiah did good things in the eyes of the Lord, so the Lord answer his prayer and deliver Jerusalem from king of Assyria.
After the response messages there will have interrupt messages or distress messages come, don't be afraid, the Lord is my God, trust in Him.
How?
Don't be afraid, if we do the right thing in eyes of the Lord, and Jesus is with us, he will pray for us.
We are planning sell our house, we believe that the Lord will help us and leads our way forward even I have not any idea about my future will be.
Trust in Him, Don't be afraid of what I have heard!

Trust in the Lord

2 Kings 18:1-37
Hezekiah son of Ahaz king of Judah began to reign and he reigned in Jerusalem 29 years. He did what was right thing in the eyes of the Lord, just as his father David had done. He removed the high places smashed the sacred stones and cut down the Asherah poles. He broke int pieces the bronze snake Moses had made for up to that time the Israelite had been burning incense to it.
Hezekiah trusted in the Lord, the God of Israel. There was no one like him among all the kings of Judah, either before him or after him.
Having dealt with Israel, in Hezekiah's reign the Assyrians turn their attention to rebel Judah.
Hezekiah payed 11 tons of silver and one ton of gold to king of Assyria at Lachish. Assyria attacked all the fortified cities of Judah and captured them.
The three Assyrians are masters of psychological warfare. They refuse private talks with Hezekiah's cabinet, and insist on a public harangue. And they play o the people's fear by speaking Hebrew- not the diplomatic language, Aramaic- so that everyone understands. But their boast that God cannot save Judah from Assyria seals their fate.
Eliakim the palace administrator, Shebna the secretary and Joah the recorder went to Hezekiah, with their clothes torn, and told him what the field commander has said.
Why?
Hezekiah is the finest king in Judah. He trusted inthe Lord, removed the high places, other kings of Judah did not remove it.
Jerusalem is a fortified city uneasy to attack in Judah. So the king of Assyria attacked other cities of Judah.
The three Assyrians were boast to threaten Jerusalem, they don't believe the Lord can save Judah from their attack. They said "where are other country's gods?"  They could not deliver their people, for they are not true God.
How?
Listen to the commands of the Lord and carry them out, the blessing of the Lord is coming. Even under the threaten of any enemy, the delivery of the freedom from the Lord surely will come.
Trust in the Lord, he will lead my way in every step. This is always my lesson from the Lord in my life. Don't forget what have done on me from the Lord.

Payed price of life to gain new life from Christ

2 Kings 17:24-41
The king of Assyria brought people from Babylon, Cuthan, Avva, Hamath and Sepharvaim and settled them in the towns of Samaria to replace the Israelites.
They first lived there, they did not worship the Lord, so he sent lions among them and they killed some of the people.
It was reported to the king of Assyria, so king of Assyria gave this order:
"Have one of the priests you took captive from Samaria go back to live there and teach the people what the god of the land requires." One of the priest who had been exiled fro Samaria came to live in Bethel and taught them how to worship the Lord.
Nevertheless, each national group made its own gods in the several towns where the people of Samaria had made at the high places. They worshiped the Lord, but they also served their own gods in accordance with the customs of the nations from which they had been brought.
To this day they persist in their former practices They neither worship the Lord nor adhere to the decrees and ordinances, the laws and commands that the Lord fave the descendants of Jacob, whom he named Israel.
Why?
Over the course of some years Assyria repopulated the land with over conquered peoples, each with its own religion. But troubles are attributed to their failure to placate the local god and an Israelite priest is sent back as a missionary.
Most of the customs of the nations are conflicted with the commands of the Lord. So to be a Christian have to make a decision to choose which way he want to walk on, and walk on the way of Christ usually has many suffering from the environment. So it is need the faith and strength from the Lord.
Even there were a missionary who sent by king of Assyria, people still do not worship the Lord with all their heart and mind.
How?
Most people like to follow the customs of the nation, for they afraid the persecution if they don't follow it. To be a Christian need pay the price of life to gain new life from Jesus Christ.

Israel exiled because of sin

2 Kings 17:1-23
Hishea, son of Elah became last king of Israel, and he reigned 9 years.
He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, but not like the kings of Israel who preceded him, but later Assyria discovered that Hoshea was a traitor, for he had sent envoys to Egypt and he no longer paid tribute to the king of Assyria.
Assyria seized him and put him in prison. The king of Assyria invaded the entire land marched against Samaria and laid siege to it for 3 years. the king of Assyria captured Samaria and deported the Israelites to Assyria.
Israel's fate is seen as the direct consequence of longstanding idolatry, of pursuing heathen practices, disobeying God's law, and ignoring the prophet.
Why?
The writer of the Bible gave commends of the fate of Israel for they ignoring the warning of God and followed worthless idols.
People die for his sin, a country be destroyed by her own sins also. The Lord has gave them opportunity to turn back and sent many prophets to warn them. But they didn't listen it.
How?
Don't let sin siege us, the only way can release from sin is let Jesus to be our Lord. This is the only way to Heaven and love in our homeland peacefully.
Jesus is the only way to escape from sins.

Whose servant I am?

2 Kings 16:1-20
Ahaz son of Jotham king of Judah reigned in Jerusalem 16 years. He did not do what was right in the eyes of the Lord his God.
Judah was attacked and besieged by Aram and Israel. he sent messagers to say to king of Assyria, "I am your servant and vassal. Come up to save me out of the hand of the king of Aram and of the king of Israel."
Ahaz pay a lot of gold in the temple of the Lord and treasures of royal palace and sent it as gift to the king Assyria.
THe ing of Assyria complied by attacking Damascus and capturing it. Ahaz went to Damascus to meet king of Assyria and built a temple like Damascus what he saw.
Ahaz was one of Judah's worst kings During his 16 years reign Judah was under attack from all quarters: Syria and Israel to the north; Edom and Philistia to the south.
The temple was stripped of silver and gold to pay the heavy tribute demanded by  Assyria in return for help.
Why?
Assyria has strong force make Ahaz though it was blessed by their God in Damascus. The wars and enemy attacked Judah the real reason is Judah turn away from the Lord.
Ahaz didn't repent for his behavior and he looked the outside feature of Assyria, learned the wrong example from Assyria. Ahaz didn't know the best treasure and savior was located in his country, Judah.
Sometimes unfair things or evil doer makes us angry and doubt the existence of the Lord. These are temporary features, all of these will be passed away, the Lord  gives us some disciplines to purify our life like a refiner and purifier of silver.
How?
I am whose servant? I am the servant of the Lord, I will follow the commands of the Lord, He is the only God in the world and Heaven.

To be a complete man in present of the Lord as I can

2 Kings 15:32-38
Jotham succeeded Uzziah as king of Judah began to reign.
He reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, just as his father Uzziah had done. The high place, however, were not removed; the people continued to offer sacrifices and burn incense there
In those days the Lord began to send Rezin king of Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah against Judah.
Why?
Doing the right things of the Load have to do all things right, the Lord is Him.
righteousness, there is not any sin can exist before Him.
Jotham encounters opposition from Syria and Israel.
How?
Don't let any small sin exists in my life and in my mind. it could be grow up to big sin. Won't do right thing is one of sin. To be a complete man in present of the Lord as I can.

Prayer to the country is needed from me

2 Kings 15:13-26
Shallum assassinated Zechariah and succeeded him as king of Israel. He reigned in Samaria one month.
Menahem fro Tizah up to Samaria, assassinated him ad succeeded him as king. Menahem reigned in Samaria ten years, he did evil in the eyes of the Lord.
The Pul king of Assyria invaded the land, and Menahem gave him a thousand talents of silver to gain his support and strengthen his oven hold on the kingdom.
Pekahiah son of Menahem became king of Israel in Samaria, and he reigned two years. Pekahiah did evil in the eyes of the Lord. One of his officers, Pekah taking fifty men of Gilead with him, he assassinated Pekahiah and succeeded him as king.
Pekah became king of Israel in Samaria, he reigned twenty years. He did evil in the eyes of the Lord. Assyria came and took may cities. Hohea conspired against Pekah. He attacked and assassinated him, and then succeeded him as king.
Why?
Before end of Israel kingdom, the kings of Israel are replaced very quick, there were not honesty or righteousness in the land. Full of conspire against his master and assassinated events.
Strength of Israel was weak, Assyria attacked Israel twice and took many property and deported the people to Assyria.
There were not the mercy and blessing of the Lord in Israel.
How?
When a country turn away from the Lord, the blessing of the Lord is gone. May the mercy of the Lord come upon America, China and Taiwan. May more people know the Lord and turn away from sins. Prayer is needed from me.

The words of the Lord are fulfilled

2 Kings 15:1-7
The word of the Lord spoken to Jehu was fulfilled:"Your descendants will set on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation." Zechariah son of Jeroboam became king of Israel in Samaria, and he reigned six months.
Azariah a good king, reigns 52 years, including a time as co-regent. Azariah is a strong king, defeating the Philistines and Arabs and reducing Ammon to a vassal state. But pride brings him to an unpleasant end.
Zechariah rules six months assassinated by Shallum rules only one month before his assassination by Menahem.
After Jehu's descendant, there were not stable leader in Israel for they did not turn away from the sins and had caused Israel to commit.
Why?
Woe to you, O destroyer, you who have not been destroyed!
Woe to you, O traitor, you who have not been betrayed!
When you stop destroying, you will be destroyed;
when you stop betraying, you will be betrayed. (Isaiah 33:1)
Kings of Israel has assassination again and again.
How?
Fear the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Our God is righteous and full of mercy.
I am glad that I could be blessed by the Lord and be one of his sons.

Love the Lord with all of my soul, heart, mind and strength

2 King 14:1-29
Jehu, Jehoahaz, Jehoash and then Jeroboam be the King of Israel.
Second year of Jehoash, Amaziah began to reign Judah.
Amaziah did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, but not as his father David had done; the people continued to offer sacrifices and burn incense in high place.
Amaziah did not put the son of the assassins to death, in accordance with what is written in the Book of the Law of Moses where the Lord commanded.
Amaziah defeated Edomites in the Valley of Salt and captured Sela in battle. He was arrogant for this victory, he sent messengers to Jehoahaz with the challenge. Amaziah would not listen to the words replied from king of Israel Jehoash. Judah was routed by Israel.
The Lord had seen how bitterly everyone i Israel, whether slave or free, was suffering; there was no one to help them. Since the Lord had not said he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven, he save them by the hand of Jeroboam.
Amaziah is a good king who reigns 29 years. The people make Azariah co-regent.
Jeroboam II rules for 41 years including a time as co-regent. He is politically strong. After his death the nation falls apart. The prophets Amos and Hosea reveal the corruption within Israel.
Why?
The destination of Amaziah and his father Joash are same, was conspired by his servants in Jerusalem. Their leading way has some problem, the political force were weak.
Amaziah defeated Edom is the blessing of the Lord, but he took this glory to himself, and make his kingdom routed by Israel.
How?
Completely obey the commands of the Lord, arrogant will lead to fail and destruction of everything. Love the Lord with all my heart and with all  my soul and with all of my mind and with all my strength..

Seeking the Lord's favor,

2 Kings 13:1-25
Son of Jehu. Jehoahaz and the succeeded Jehoash be the king of Israel, they did evil in the eyes of the Lord and did not turn away from any of the sons of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he had caused Israel to commit. The Lord's anger burned against Israel, and for a long time he kept them under the power of Hazael king of Aram and Ben-Hadad his son.
Jehoahaz sought the Lord's favor, and the Lord listened to him. The Lord provided a deliverer for Israel, and they escaped from the power of Aram. So the Israelites lived in their own homes as they had before.
Elisha was suffering from the illness from which he died. Jehoash king of Israel went down to see him and wept over him."My father! My father! he cried."The chariots and horsemen of Israel!". Before Elisha dead, Elisha helped Jehosah blessed him defeated Aram three times, for Jehoash toke the bow and stroke the ground three times and stopped. It is the destination of Israel.
Why?
Those kings of Israel knew the Lord can save them form the hands of enemy, but they still kept their evil doer and did not turn away from sins.
The Lord saved Israel in limited condition for their behavior were not repent, but asked the Lord by mouth.
When anyone seek the Lord's favor, the Lord listened to him. This is the mercy of the Lord. No matter what you are!
Elisha is the father of Israel, he is the chariots and horseman of Israel. He is the force man of Israel. Even before his dead he blessed Israel live longer. But for the sins of Israel arouse the anger of the Lord, so the destination of Israel was not changed.
The man of God, Elisha, is a human being, he will die when he getting old. He had done many great miracles are the works of God through him. And the Lord listened to his prayer.
How?
The Lord is full of mercy and love, anyone seek the Lord's favor, God listens to him.  More important is repent and turn away from sin.
Same as Elisha I am a human being, may my life could be used as Elisha to help other people and do many miracles to save life from sin.

Free offering

2 Kings 12:1-21
Josha is one of Judah's best kings, ruling for 40 years.
Under Johoiada's guidance Joash rules well. But for some years money intended for Temple repairs gets no further than the priests.
A new method of collection is devised and the work put in hand. Fund come from tax and free will offerings.
Joash's later years see a decline in political, moral and religious spheres. Syria makes inroads into Judah and threatens Jerusalem. The king dies at the hands of his servants.
Why?
Let every priest receive money from one of the treasures, and let it be used to repair whatever damage is found in the temple. But by the 23 years the priests still had not repaired the temple. Change method of collect money by free offering let this work done.
So it is for the church's work, free offering may more efficient than collect from each one.
Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you: Do no arouse or awaken love until it so desires.( Song of songs 3:5; 8:4) True love comes from free mind and heart.
The money from the guilt offerings and sin offerings was not brought into the temple of the Lord; it belonged to the priests.
How?
Love the Lord and offer to the Lord comes from our heart and mind. True love would not flow out under force.

Do our own job and mission in present of the Lord

2 King 11:1-21
When Ahaziah was dead, his mother proceeded to destroy the whole royal family. But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jehorram and sister of Ahaziah, took Joash son of Ahaziah and stole him away from the royal princes, who were about to be murdered.
He remained hidden with his nurse at the temple of the Lord for six years while Athaliah ruled the land.

There are some of the darkest days in the nation;s history. The royal line of David is all but wiped out: only the baby Joash survives.

In the seventh year Jehoiada sent for commanders of units a hundred, the Carites and the guards and had them brought to him at the temple of the Lord. He made a covenant with them and put them under oath at the temple of the Lord.
Jehoiada made a covenant between the Lord and the king and people that they would be the Lord's people. He also made a covenant between the king and the people. All the people of the land went to the temple of Baal and tore it down. They smashed the a;tars and idols to pieces and killed Mattan the priest of Ball in front of the altars.
The constitutional monarchy is restored, and loyalty to God reaffirmed in the swearing of a new covenant-pact.
Why?
v12, These rules for kingship those set down by the prophet Samuel at the time of the nation's first kings.
Jehoiada did a good priest in his history. He had done what jobs a servant of the Lord can do.
There was the blessing of the Lord, line of David may keep.
How?
Do our own job and mission in present of the Lord. Do as Jehoiada and Jehosheba.

Doing by the wisdom of Spirit

2 Kings 10:1-35
Jehu let the guardian of Ahab's children killed them by two letters. First one asked them chose the est and most worthy of their master's son's and set him on his father's throne. Then fight for his father's home. But they were terrified and said "IF tow kings could not resist him, how can we? So both of them agreed to do whatever Jehu think best." The second letter, Jehu asked them killed Ahab's sons.
Jehu was acting deceptively in order to destroy the ministers of Baa; and he destroyed Baal worship in Israel. However, he did not turn away from the sins which he had caused Israel to commit- the worship of the golden calves at Bethel and Dem.
The Lord said to Jehu, "Because you have done well in accomplishing what is right in my eyes and have done to the house of Ahab all I has in mind to do. Your descendants will sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation."
The time that Jehu reigned over Israel in Samaria was 28 years.
Why?
Jehu has little forces to face group & families of Ahab, but he had wisdom let someone worked for him.
Jehu was smart and acted deceptively to kill all of the ministers of Baal.
To accomplish the commands of the Lord need wisdom of Spirit. Let it worked easy and efficient.
How?
Dear Lord, Please remind me, Let me do anything by the  wisdom of Spirit instead of by my own flesh.

Do the mission of a servant of God

2 Kings 9:1-13
Elisha summoned a man from company of the prophets and said to him, "Tuck your cloak into your belt, take this flask of oil with you and go to Ramoth Gilead. When you get there, look for Jehu son of Jehoshaphat. Go to him get him away from his companions and take him into an inner room. Then take the flask and pour the oil on his head and declare"This is what the Lord says: I anoint you king over Israel.' Then open the door and run; don't delay!"
The young man did as Elisha said, and he said to Jehu, "This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says" "You are to destroy the house of Ahab your master, and I will avenge the blood of my servants the prophets and the blood of all the Lord's servants shed by Jezebel...."
Jehu disguised nothing happen after he was anointed, other fellow officer didn't belive, he told them what the Lord says. They hurried and took their cloaks and spread them under him on the bare steps. Then they blew the trumpt and shouted,"Jehu is king!"
The writer returns to the history of the kings which has been interrupted by the stories of Elisha.
Why?
The words of prophet of the Lord with power, so the officers committed Jehu as a new king over Israel.
Jehu will be king of Israel and he will avenge the blood of God's servant and the blood of all the Lord's servant shed by Jezebel has been revealed to Elijah in 1 Kings.
The prophet is declare the messages of the Lord, do not stay there wait for any prophet for anyone, the gift will be provided fro the Lord.
How?
To be a christian, we help or pray for others or doing gospel mission are not for any benefit from man, but response the love of the Lord on us.

His words are consistent and true forever

2 Kings 8:7-29
Elisha fulfills God's commission to Elisha(1 kings19:15) - Hazael king over Aram.
Hazael, like Macbeth, resorts to murder to turn prediction into face and seize the throne.
Elisha began to weep for he knew that Hazael will harm to the Israelites.
The deception is presumably intended to give the king a false sense of security and enable Hazael to take the throne on his death. But he is not prepared to wait.
Jehoram was a bad king in Judah, influenced by his wife Athaliah, daughter of Ahab and Jezebel. Ahaziah was another king who turned from God and went his won way. He reigned only one year.
For the sake of his servant David, The Lord was not willing to destroy Judah. He had promised to maintain a lamp for David and his descendants forever.
Why?
Elisha said the same words of God as the Lord said to Elijah before Elisha be anointed as prophet.
Elisha love Israelites, although he knew what will be in Israel. So he wept for the Israelites.
Kings of Judah did bad king- did not walk in the way of the Lord, for the sake of David, it is the promise of the Lord, so Judah exists. The promise of the Lord to David and his descendants is the future kingdom of Jesus.
Marriage is influence to the living style, someone's marriage is rely on the relationship of social or on the property. The good marriage is based on the love between each other and good helper to him.
How?
The words of the Lord are consistent and never fail.

Blessed are all who walk according to the word of the Lord

2 Kings 8:1-6
The woman whose son Elisha had restored to life, listened to the words of Elisha went away and stayed in the land of the Philistines seven years for famine in the land of Israel.
At the end of the seven years she came back from Philistines and went to the king to beg for her house and land. The king was talking to Gehazi, the servant of the man of God, and had talked about how Elisha restored the dead to life. The king asked the woman about it, and she told him.
The the kings assigned an official to her case and said to him, "Give back everything that belonged to her, including all the income from her land from the day she left the country until now.
This is the second part of the story told. This belong to the time before Gehazi's leprosy.
Why?
A woman toke care the man of God, then she received many good feedback from the man of God. All she had were more than the world can give her. A blessed woman in Israel. The love to the man of God was came from her heart. And she did not want any feedback from the man of God.
Your are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.(Psalm 16:2)
Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in his ways(Psalm 128:1)
Blessed are they whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord.(Psalm 119:1)
How?
Do to the servant of the Lord when I found they needed, the love comes from our heart because it is my response to the Lord's love.

His words is everlasting.

2 Kings 6:24-7:20
Famine in besieged Samaria was severe for Aram monilized his entire army.
The king of Israel heard the story of two women ate their sons for life, he tore his robes, had sackcloth on his body.
King of Israel knew "If the Lord does not help you, where can I get help for you?"
Elisha said to elders "Don't you see how this murder is sending someone to cut off my head? The king of Israel said to Elisha "This disaster is from the Lord. Why should I wait for the Lord any longer?"
Elisha said the words of the Lord to king, the office on whose arm the king was leaning said to the man of God,"Look, even if the Lord should open the floodgates of the heavens could this happen?" t
Their desperate hunger make them the first to discover the truth of Elisha's prediction.
"You will see it with your own eyes," answered Elisha, "but you will not eat any of it!"
The Aramean arm ran for their lives one night, as the Lord had said and it is exactly what happened to the office.
Donkey sold for 1 kg silver and 0.3 liter seed for 55 gram silver. After relive of besieged, flour of 7.3liters sold 11 gram silver, 15 liters of barley sold 11 gram silver.
Why?
The peace secured by Elisha does not last for ever.
People always complain to the Lord when they suffered some disaster, the king of Israel humbled himself and went to see the prophet Elisha is the key to solve his problem.
Under any situation the Lord is our helper and savior.
How?
Knowing God and worshiping the Lord , praying to the Lord is because the Lord loves us. His words is everlasting.

What I need is put my confidence in Him

2 Kings 6:8-23
His voice to the king Joram shows Elisha to be a true prophet of God. His confidence is in God's protection a very real thing for those who have eyes to see.
Far from being doomed, Elisha has them in the palm of his hand as he leads them home. The king, too, must show mercy. And so the raids, instead of continuing, come to an end.
"Don't be afraid," Elisha answered. "Those who are with us are more than those who are with them."
Dothan: Ten miles north of Samaria.
Why?
Elisha a true prophet of Gods, he is peace maker to Israel and Aram, he has mercy to everyone, friend or enemy.
How?
I am not alone, those who are with us are than those who are with them. The Lord almighty has more power and sovereign Lord than any in the world.
What I need is put my confidence in Him.

His words

2 Kings 6:1-7
A iron ahead fell into the water. Elisha threw a stick and threw it there and said "Lift it out" Them it made the iron float.
The floating axe-head. The thick woods of the Jordan Valley provide a ready sources of timber for the new community building needed by the prophets.
Why?
Elisha's miracle was simply kindly act.
The words of Elisha was like the word of the Lord with power of God.
How?
The spirit of the Lord with us, then we said anything is with the power of the Lord.
The words of the Lord is powerful to everyone.

Is this the time to take ...?

2 Kings 5:1-27
Naaman was commander of the army of the king Aram. Through him the Lord had given victory to Aram. He was a valiant soldier, but he had leprosy.
A visit is arranged through diplomatic channels.
If the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How great more, then, when he tells you,"Wash and be cleaned!'
Naaman did as the man of God had told him, and his flesh was restored and became clean like that of a young boy.
Naaman asked Eliha two things 1)Let him be given as much earth as a pair of mules can carry, for your servant will never again make burnt offerings and sacrifices to any other god but the Lord. 2)When my master enters the temple of Rimmon to bow down and he is leaning o my arm and I bow there also.
Elisha said to Gihazi, "Is this the time to take money, or to accept clothes, olives, vineyards, flocks, herds, or menservants and maidservants?"
Why?
This story like many others that God's concern is not limited to Israel. Syria was often at war with Israel, and Naaman was the commander of the enemy army.
The prophet's instructions are not what Naaman expected. But his staff persuaded him to try, and he is healed.
Gehazi's greed might have ruined everything, and could not go unpunished.
Because at the time it was believed that a god could be worshiped only on his own land.
To be a servant of the Lord don't have to do everything like general human beings. Elisha was tested Naaman's heart, is he really believed what he said.
Elisha has nothing at that time, he refused to accept gifts from Naaman, because he wanted Naaman become a follower of the Lord.
How?
Live for the Lord by humble myself but honor the name of the Lord.
Is this the time to take everything I wanted?

The power of pray is an miracle through holy spirit

2 Kings 4:38-44
There was famine in Israel when Elisha and his servants came to Gilgal. Elisha put flour into the pet and said "Serve it to the people to eat", And there was nothing harmful in the pot.
Wild gourd: A powerful laxative bitter and poisonous in large quantities.
Someone gave Elisha 20 loaves of barley bread baked from first ripe grain, along with some head of  new grain. Elisha said "Give it to the people to eat", but his servant asked "How can I set this before hundred men? Elisha said"For the Lord says,' They will eat and have some left over." And they ate and had some left over, according to the word of the Lord.
Why?
The spirit of the Lord is along with Elisha, so the love and power of the Lord comes through Elisha to help his people and provides what they need.
Twenty loaves of bread shared for hundred men is like the miracle  of Jesus did. For the Lord loves those people.
First ripe grain was the offering normally made to the priest at the beginning of the harvest.
How?
I had a hope to be acted like Elisha, the spirit of the Lord with me, then I can do many miracle to others to honor the name of God. Thanks Lord, that we have the right of prayer, the holy spirit can do it through our prayer. Keeping praying for many people who do not know the Lord.
