2 Kings 2:1-16
Paul did not preach about God with eloquence or superior wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power.
Paul wanted to preach nothing except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
Paul speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
But God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.
No one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God, the Spirit who is come from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.
The spiritual man makes judgments about all things but he himself is not subject to any man's judgments.
"For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ.
Why?
It seems from these chapters that the groups were making invidious comparisons between Paul and the more eloquent Apollos. Paul although a trained scholar, had had his troubles at Corinth.
Preach Christ and him crucified with the spirit of God and his wisdom. Let people's faith rest on God, not on the preacher. Sometime we will stolen the glory of God.
Stand tall, don't fell, all for one, one for all to preach gospel when we stand on the rock of Christ Jesus and his truth.
How precious we are have the mind of Christ, let we know Christ's secret wisdom.
How?
Doing testimony to show the glory and wisdom of God only. All I have is came from God. I always need the spirit of wisdom from the Lord.
