Pride and insolence are futile, do not frustrated for the discipline of the Lord

Jeremiah 48:1-47
A Message about Moab
Moab has been at rest from youth, like win left on its dregs, not poured from one jar to another- she has not gone into exile. So she tastes as she did, and her aroma is unchanged.
But days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will send men who pour from jars, and they will pour her out; they will empty her jars and smash her jug.
Mark her drunk, for she has defied the Lord. Let Moab wallow in her vomit; let her be an object of ridicule.
"We have heard of Maob's pride- her overweening pride and conceit, her pride and arrogance and the haughtiness of her heart. I know her insolence(傲慢) but it is futile," declares the Lord, "and her boast accomplish nothing."
Moab will be destroyed as a nation because she defied(無視) the Lord.
Yet I will restore the fortunes of Moab in days to come.
Why?
The wine need to be replace the jar and filter out the dregs, then the aroma will getting better. If keep in the same jar the testy will keep the raw.
Without discipline in our life has not aroma from our life.
The destroy to Moab, because their pride, conceit, arrogance and insolence, all of these are futile. And Moab defied the Lord.
The Moabites occupied the high plateau-land east of the Dead sea. Moab, and neighboring Ammon and Edom, seem to have joined forces with Judah in rebelling against Nebuchadnezzar. Presumably he dealt with them whe he dealt with Judah.
How?
Be humble before the Lord, for He is the king of kings. Honor the name of the Lord. He is worthy to be praised. Life has many trails and test are the discipline to us, let us grow up more like Jesus. Thanks God.
