Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation

Mark:16:9-19
Mary Magdalane went an told those who had been with him and who were mourning an weeping. When they heard that Jesus was alive and that she had seen him, they did not believe it.
Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.
"Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. " Jesus said to them.
Whoever believes and is baptized will be save, but who ever does not believe will be condemned.
These signs will accompany those who believe: 1)drive out demons; 2)speak in new tongues; 3)pick up snakes with their hands; 4)drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them; 5)place their hands on sick people, and they will get will.
Why?
Most people heard Jesus raise from death did not believe in it. His disciples heard Jesus mentioned these many times still did not believe. For the mind of human does not be shined by Holy Spirit.
Two different destiny, one is be save who believe and other be condemned who does not believe Jesus.
Jesus admitted that when we preach gospel to others and follow his commands we will have signs accompany with us.
How?
Preach good new to the people around us.

He was crucified. He has risen

Mark 16:1-8
Mary Magdalene, Mary the Mother of James and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus' body. It was every early on the first day of the week.
They saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed. This young man is angel.
Your are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples, He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he tole you.
These three women were trembling and bewildered困惑 fled from the tomb.
For some unknown reason - mot probably damage to very early copies of the Gospel - the best surviving manuscripts of Mark end abruptly at 16:8
Why?
These three women love Jesus and care about the body of Jesus, so they went to the Tomb, try to do something for Jesus.
When they saw the big stone was rolled away, they were alarmed, they didn't know what is going on? Even they saw the young man as a ghost before they talked.
Trembling and bewildered made them fled away and afraid to tell anyone about what they saw, they wanted to protect Jesus and his disciples.
How?
Am I bewilder to what I will be? No, I believe Jesus will lead my way forward.
If I were these three women I would reacted as they did. Amazing feature usually makes us surprising and trembling. Transfer this fear to respect to the Jesus, for he has risen. The "Love won the flight" - we will sing to the Lord in church tomorrow
Love of Jesus won the death.

Why Jesus die? for out salvation

Mark 15:33-47
Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi,Eloi, lama sabachthani?"- which means, "My God , my God, why have you forsaken me?
Before Jesus breathed his last. There were Mary, Magdalene, Mary the other of James the younger and of Jose, and Salome. In Galilee these women had followed Jesus and cared for his needs.
Salome: Zebedee;s wife; mother of James and John(Mattew 27:56)
Jesus breaks the mould of women in that generation.
The centurion who stood there in front of Jesus, heard his cry and saw how he died, he said,"Surely this man was the Son of God!"
Greek-speakers used this phrase o someone heroic:' a truly great man'.
The data before the Sabbath is Preparation Day. As evening approached, Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent member of the Council, who was himself waiting for the kingdom of God, who went boldly to Pilate and asked for Jesus's body. He buried Jesus in a tomb cut out of rock.
Death by crucifixion was long drawn out. It often took two days or more. But by three in the afternoon' Jesus us dead. Joseph, a member of the Sanhedrin Council and a disciple of Jesus saves him from the final indignity of a mass grave.
Why?
Jesus suffered not only physical horror and pain, but also the horror of spirit.
The Gospel writers play down the physical horror of the hours on the cross when Jesus plumbed the depths of suffering. But why did he die? The Gospel writers and the whole New Testament see Jesus' death as the climax of his mission, the final fulfillment of God's purpose. His suffering was 'for us and for our salvation'.
By his death he paid the full penalty for 'the sins of the world', once and for all. In Jesus' own words, recorded in the Gospel accounts of the Last Supper, his body was broken and his blood was shed to make a new covenant' between human beings and God.
By his death he reconciled us to God making possible the free gift of eternal life.
How?
Every one who like to serve Jesus are welcome to his present. Serve Him by our willingness and our hear, mind and strength. He is worthy for praise and worship.

Lonely, shameful and pain on the cross

Mark 15:21:32
They offered Jesus wine mixed with myrrh, but he did not take it. Releafe the pain.
Dividing up his clothes, they cast lots to see what each would get. Jesus has nothing.
The written notice of the charge against him read: The King of Jews.
Those who passed by hurled insults at him, includes the chief priests and the teachers of the law and those crucified with Jesus also heaped insults on him. “He saved others, but he can’t save himself.”
Why?
Jesus suffered much shame on the cross and deep pain which include the flesh and spirit.
Jesus is now utterly alone, isolated from the soldiers, the jeering crowd of onlookers and the little group of women who loved him enough to endure one last watch.
How?
Jesus suffer so much pain and shameful time for His mission of save us. How great He is. Don't forget the love of Jesus for us.

Jesus is the King

Mark 15:1-20
The chief priest, with the elders, the teachers of the law and the whole Sanhedrin, reached a decision. They bound Jesus, led him away and handed him over to Pilate.
“Are you the king of the Jews? Asked Pilate. “Yes, it is as you say,” Jesus replied. Other questions Jesus made not reply, and Pilate was amazed.
Pilate knowing it was out of envy that the chief priests had handed Jesus over to him.
The chief priests stirred up the crowd to have Pilate release Barabbas instead.
What shall I do, then, with the one you call the king of the Jews?” Pilate asked them. “Crucify him!” They shouted. “What crime has he committed?” asked Pilate. But they shouted all the louder, “Crucify him!”
Wanting to satisfy the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas to them. He had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified.
The soldiers, they began to call out to him, “Hail, king of the Jews!”
Why?
Jesus is the king of Jews and is the king of kings. Those people did not know him.
The high priests envy Jesus to be king of Jews, it affects their position and honor, so they hate Jesus, for they did evil and they are living in the dark.
Crowd always innocent but easy to be stirred up shout or make violent under high emotion.
Is the Jews, they asked Pilate crucify Jesus.  They asked Pilate release Barabbas, the one committed murder, instead of Jesus.
Pilate was wanting to satisfy the crowd, for they shout they have no king but Caesar. Actually Israelite hate Rome’s king, but in this moment they asked put Jesus to dead.
How?
Emotion decision is not good, always made wrong decision.
Jesus’s dead is for erase all of our sins. How precious a righteous man shed blood for us.

Shame to Peter, so as me

Mark 14:66-72
"I don’t know or understand what you’re talking about this man" Peter disown Jesus three times.
Peter began to call down curses on himself at third time.
The rooster crowed after peter's third time denied Jesus.
Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken to him. And he broke down and wept.
Why?
Peter is brave enough to keep within sight of Jesus as he is led away. But with nothing to do but wait, courage oozes away ad fear takes control. Three times Peter says what he swore he would ever say.
Even his leading disciple denies Jesus. But one look from his is enough to break the big fisherman's heart.
Do not swear anything before the Lord, Jesus told say yes to the truth. Peter has spiritual brave, but in body is weak.
How?
All of us are weak as Peter. Confess my weak in flesh and pray to Jesus help me strong in spirit and walk in my way with Jesus. "The spirit is willing, but the body is weak."

Jesus Christ, the Son of God

Mark 14:53-65
The chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were looking for evidence against Jesus so that they could put him to death, but they did not find any.
Jesus remained silent and gave no answer, no matter they said  against Him.
The high priest asked Jesus,"Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?"
"I am," said Jesus. "And you will see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven."
Why?
Jesus fulfilled the word of God, he likes the lamb before dead, remain silent.
They all condemned his as worthy of death for they heard Jesus said he is Son of God. They didn't believe and thought it is blasphemy to God.
Blasphemy was a capital charge under Jewish law.
The trial by the Sanhedrin Council makes it clear they condemned Jesus to death for his claim to be Son of God.
When people don't believe in Jesus, it is worthy to say nothing at all even angry to Jesus.
They deny the Lord so they Jesus either.
How?
Jesus is the Son of God, I believe in Jesus and he will coming on the clouds of heaven.

The words of God must be fulfilled

Mark 14:42-52
Judas had arranged a signal with them:"The one I kiss is the man; arrest him and lead him away under guard."
"Am I leading a rebellion that you have come out with swords and clubs to capture me? Every day I was with you, teaching in the temple courts, and you did not arrest me.
The Scriptures must be fulfilled. "Everyone deserted and fled."
Why?
Judas led men with arm betrayed Jesus at night, with signal can identify who is Jesus for them.
Those people came with weapon for they thought Jesus led people against the priests and the law of God.
Jesus comes to the world with peace, He did not bring weapon or shout to flight a war. Those men came with sword and club are misunderstood Jesus.
Jesus understand every word in Scripture and used it in right place to show He is the Messiah.
Believe in Jesus is Son of God is the first step to have peace from the Lord.
The Scriptures must be fulfilled: God's word is truth.
How?
Jesus transform this world without weapon and terrorism. He transforms man's heart to the Lord, and establishes a kingdom of God last forever.
Simply believe in Him like child with pure heart, them he can enter the heaven.

Watch out and pray so that we won't fall into temptation

Mark 14:27-41
Peter insisted emphatically, "Even if I have to die with you, I will never disown you."
Jesus was deeply distressed and troubled. He prayed to God "Abba, Father, everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me, Yet not what I will, but what you will."
Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing , but the body is weak.
Disciples fell asleep when Jesus was praying three times.
Jesus took Peter, James and John along with him.
Are you still sleeping and resting? Enough! The hour has come.
Why?
The prospect of his suffering fills Jesus with horror. It was more than the fear of a terrible death, though no reasons are given here
The moment passes. Jesus accepts the path of suffering as his Father's will. Jessus bear our sins through his blood on the Cross.
Peter said he would not disown Jesus and insisted emphatically, but after a while he fell down and went away. This is the weak of flesh.
We need the faith and encourage from the Lord, to serve the Lord rely on the Holy Spirit not on our own enthusiasm and strength.
How?
I pray to the Lord express my hope. Yet not what I will but God's will.
Watch out and pray so that we won't fall into temptation.

Facing the last three days

Mark 14:12-26
Time: The first day of the feast of Unleavened Bread, when it was customary to sacrifice the Passover lamb.
The Lord's Supper hold in a large upper room. Jesus told disciple to find it and make preparation for the Passover.
I tell you the truth, one of you will betray me - one who is eating with me.
The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would e better for him if he had not been born.
Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying,"Take it; this is my body."
He took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, and they all drank from it. "This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many," he said to them.
When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
Why?
How sadness of Jesus, when he knew who will betray him. As a man knows when he will end his life and dying with pain. He knows what he was doing in this world.
Facing the last three days, Jesus did not forget what his mission is from the Lord.
Passover lamb is Jesus himself, He be the sacrifice to many people's sins.
In stead of Passover, we memorize Jesus , Messiah, by Maundy Thursday and Easter(Resurrection Sunday).  Jesus is rising from the dead, he overcome the hell.
Lord's Supper is remind us to the love of God.
Sing a hymn may encourage our faith and praise the Lord.
How?
Do I know what I am doing in my life? After I was baptized and reborn in the Christ I know what should I do, to honor the name of God and preach gospel to many. Do what I can do and be good witness for the Lord among people.

Do what I can do beautiful thing

Mark 14:1-11
She has done a beautiful thing to me. The woman broke the jar and pouted the perfume on Jesus head.
Some of those present were saying indignantly憤怒地 to one another.
Why are you bother her? The poor you will always has with you, and you can help them any time you want. But you will not always have me. She did what she could. She poured perfume on my body beforehand to prepare for my burial.
Jesus said wherever the gospel is preach throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.
Judas went to the chief priests to betray Jesus to them. So he watched for an opportunity to hand him over.

Jesus' publish ministry is at an end. As the Passover festival approaches events move swiftly to a climax.
Against a dark backcloth of hatred and treachery shines the story of one woman's love for the Lord.

Why?
Sometime we will forget Jesus instead of our ambition or desire. So we will always has poor with us, poor people are always exist. We can help them any time we want. But Jesus will leave them soon.
This woman did a beautiful thing, not only a good thing. Judas did a duty thing.
It was common courtesy to pour a little perfume on arriving guests. Perfume was also used to anoint a body for burial. And the word 'Messiah' means the 'one anointed' for God's service. Perhaps intuitively sensing the tragedy ahead, Mary pours out the whole flask of precious perfumed oil in a lavish, extravagant gesture of affection感情.
How?
Jesus is the Messiah, the one anointed.
A beautiful thing to Jesus, do what I can.

Stand firm to the end

Mark 13:1-37
Witnesses to them
All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.
False Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the elect - if that were possible. So be on your guard.
At that time men will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my word will never pass away.
Be on guard! Be alert! You do no know when that time will come. If Son of Man comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. Each servant with his assigned task.
Why?
Some of the language Jesus uses and the things he describes echo Old Testament prophecies of the end-time and the symbolic language of 'apocalyptic' writing, familiar to hi hearers: for example, Battle, earthquakes, famines and eclipse of sin and moon.
Don't to guess when Jesus comes back, for us have to do is do our job well, be a good witness among people, preach gospel to many.
Be on guard! Jesus has told us many signs ahead of time, stand firm in Him. For Jesus has known all of these, we don't panic or worry about it.
Stand firm to the end will be save: Not only stand firm but also stand firm to the end, it have to endure for a while.
How?
Take my own responsibility to do the right thing and be good witness in my life.
Stand firm to the end.

Love and self-sacrifice

Mark 12:28-44
Kingdom of God: Love our God, the Lord is one, an love your neighbor as yourself. It is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.
The large crowd listened to him with delight.
Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted in the marketplaces, and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets. Evil behavior: They devour widows'houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. Such men will be punished most severely.
The widow's offering was very small copper coins, but she, out of her poverty, put in everything. Jesus looks into people's heart.
The 'poor widow' is the poorest of the poor.
Son of David: Matthew 1 and Luke 3 show that Jesus was in face a descendant of David, but much more than that. He is the Son of God - David's son and David's Lord.
Why?
The third question is a genuine one. With 613 commandments to choose from, Jesus replies in the words of Israel's creed and Leviticus 19:18. If the Pharisees hopes for an unorthodox非正統的 reply they were disappointed.
The astonishing wisdom of Jesus silences his opponents - but he has not finished with them.
The scribe (lawyers) took the prophecy that Messiah would be a son of David literally, as a matter of physical decent. To the delight of the listening crowd. Jesus shows that David's own messianic psalm makes their position untenable.
In strong contrast to the self-advertisement of the men of religion comes the little incident in verses 40-44. What counts with God is not the size of the cheque, but the amount of love and self-sacrifice it represents.
The widow with humble and with love to the Lord compare to the rich and selfish teacher of law .
How?
How much my love and self-sacrifice represent to the Lord? Is all I have?

Give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's

Mark 12:13-27
Some Pharisees and Herodians come to Jesus to catch him in his words.
Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not?Should we pay or shouldn't we ?
Jesus knew they trying to trap him. This question is a test of Jesus's political stance姿態.
Give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's.
Because you  do not know the Scriptures or the power of God? When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.
I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. He who believes in Jesus and walking on God way is the living.
Why?
The answer clearly repudiates否定 their ideology: you can give to Caesar and to God. It relies one our mind and heart.
The Sadducees try to ridicule the idea of resurrection with an absurd荒謬 case of Levirate marriage. But the laugh is on them, because there is a resurrection - to a life where there is no sexual union or procreation because there is no death.
Political stance is belong to this world. All creations are created by the Lord, all be given to the Lord. But if one doesn't know God and Jesus who give himself to this world - the evil one.
We can give money or use money for the Lord or for ourselves or anyone, most important whom is our heart focus on?
How?
My life and all my properties are given from the Lord, so I'd like give my all to Thee for who has give me all.

The achievement of the gospel

Mark 11:27-12:12
Jesus was questioned where his authority come from? Jesus replied with another question as deal to answer them. Because they won't believe in Him.
Jesus said a parable about the tenants, tenants rent the vineyard from the Lord, Jesus is the son of the host. The vineyard is belong to the host, but the tenants don't care the master, even kill his son, try to take over his inheritance.
The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone, the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes. (Psalm 118:22,23)
Why?
Jesus, the carpenter from the north, with no formal training in the Jewish law, strolls among the shaded colonnades of the Temple, teaching his followers in the manner of the best-qualified rabbi. No wonder the religious 'professionals' question his authority.
His reply, and the condemnatory parable that follows, silences them. They withdraw to take stock and renew their attack.
Reply question depends on who asked, if he does not trust or has against us. Do not have to reply directly, but with wisdom to reject them. Jesus has wisdom above all.
How?
Dear Lord please let me have those wisdom to preach gospel, not only with my strength bur also with the wisdom from you.
God is waiting for me return the achievement of the gospel He has given me

Fruit to my boss, the Lord

Mark 11:12-26
Jesus drove out those who were buying and selling there. And he taught them,'My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations'. But you made it a den of robber.
Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it,and it will be yours.
When you praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him,so that your father in Heaven may forgive your sins.
Jesus said to the fig tree in the morning, even was not the season for figs, the fig tree withered at evening.
Why?
Jesus has authority over as anything, no matter what's reason.
The fig which bears no fruit is good for nothing but destruction. It seems we are meant to see the tree as a symbol of the Temple which, for all its ritual, is spiritual barren. Jesus uses the incident as an object lesson on the power of faith. God is able to do the impossible.
How?
How about my faith when I am praying as I have receive it?
A tree without fruit, but to be destruction. What I have any fruit here to my boss and to the Lord?

Hosanna in the highest

Mark 11:1-11
Jesus sent his two disciples to untied the colt and told anyone asks them why are you doing this? tell him, 'The Lord needs it and will send it back shortly'. They did as Jesus told them, and the people let them go.
Jesus sat on the colt entered Jerusalem, many others spread their cloaks on the road and spread branches they had cut in the fields.
Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted,
"Hosanna!
"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!"
"Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!"
"Hosanna in the highest!"
Jesus went to the temple. He looked around at everything, then went out to Bethany with twelve.
Why?
Jesus rides into the city on an ass, not a war-horse. He comes on  peace mission. Sadly, Jerusalem will have none of it, missing God's moment an embarking on a course which eventually led to total destruction at the hands of the Romans in AS 70.
Jesus is a prophet he can prophesies everything precisely.
Jesus is the messiah coming king of peace.
Jesus is Hosanna, the highest, He comes in the name of the Lord. They declare who he is.
Jesus in the highest, everyone shell bow down before Him.
How?
Jesus is messiah, He is the king of kings, He come to clean our sins.
Praise Jesus, Praise be to the Lord, He is worthy to praise.

You don't know what you are asking

Mark 10:32-52
Their way to Jerusalem with Jesus leading the way, and the disciples were astonished, while those who followed were afraid.
James and John asked Jesus let them sit at his right and the other at his left in his glory. Jesus said, "You don't know what you are asking"
"You will drink the cup I drink and be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with, but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared."
Rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them.
Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, an whoever wants to be first must be slave of all.
The blind Bartimaeus, his actions to Jesus: heard, shout, jump, want, and follow.
Your faith has healed you.
Why?
Jesus was leading the way, so disciples astonished and the followers were afraid, it is unusual as before, this time Jesus ahead forward to Jerusalem and predict his dead third time.
James and John asked for their position, it was their wrong mind and either for us.
Blind Bartimaeus cured this story can be seen as closing the 'frame' around this section, with the healing of another blind man at the beginning, and symbolic of the disciples blindness/enlightenment教化. The story is wonderfully vivid.
Our final destination are define by the Lord, the creator, and depends on what we have done.
To be great among Jesus followers is serve others like Jesus came to be serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.
The authority in Christian is not from the position or title but comes from what your love are and what you have served for others. That is honor and reputation.
How?
When I pray to the Lord, do I know what I am asking? don't ask for my self but for the way of the Lord. Pray for the real needy in my life to glory name of the Lord.

What take the first place in my lives

Mark 10:17-31
Good teacher: No one is good except God alone, all of men are sinner.
keep the commandments is basic requirement to a man, but enter the kingdom of God have to leave what he has for the God and gospel.
How hard it is to enter the kingdom of God is for those who trust in riches.
With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.
Many who are first will be last, and the last first.-- Receive a hundred time as much in this present age and in the age to come depends on what he does in this moment.
Why?
The danger of wealth. this incident does not imply that all Chris's follower must become penniless. He is speaking to one man, not to all, and in this case the man's possessions kept him from becoming a disciple. Anything that takes first place in our lives - the place meant for God - must go. Jesus takes one steady look at the man and sees to the heart of his problem. 'Go sell' he says and 'Come, follow me.'
How?
What takes the first place in my lives? Is for God? career? food? family? honor myself? selfish mind? Let all of my selfish go.

Essential factor of Jesus teaching is Love

Mark 10:1-16
What God has joined together, let man no separate.
Device is allowed in the Law but it is not the purpose of God.
Jesus likes little child. anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.
Jesus leaves Galilee and travels south. He pends some time in Perea, on the east side of the River Jordan before making his way to Jerusalem via Jericho.
Jesus blesses the children.
Why?
The New Testament letters may throw light on the arrangement of this chapter, for example, similarly brings together advice for husbands and wives, children, masters and slaves, leaders.
Little has pure heart, honesty and faith in his parent. So as a Christian has these character to enter the kingdom of God.
Jesus and the Lord loves us, he create these world and us, hope us may living together and love each other. It should be a peaceful world with love and grace. But the sin break these idea world, the key is go back to the beginning - Love.
How?
Love God the creator, love my family, my neighbor and others. Love from my heart with action, don't selfish.

Other people first, self last.

Mark 9:30-50
Welcome one of these little children in my name welcomes me. Welcome me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.
Whoever is not against us is for us.
reward: given a cup of water in Jesus name to one belong to Christ.
Don't cause one of these little ones who believe in Jesus to sin, it will cause you be thrown into hell.
Hell: their worm does not die, ad the fire is not quenched.
Salt: Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness how can you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with each other.
Why?
Do the right thing even it is very little and welcome the needy people or guest for it is well to treat others.
We, Christian is salt, prevent the spoil and make each other peace. If we lost our saltiness we are not follower of Jesus.
No one who is preoccupied with selfish ambition can become a great Christian.
It has to be other people first, self last.
It is better deliberately to limit personal self-fulfillment, even to go handicapped through life, than miss God's kingdom altogether.
How?
I was selfish man, even now I am still a little selfish, O Lord, forgive my sin, and remind me, fill me with new life, get rid of my selfish and transform my life to be a welcome man. Always think other people first and self last.

I can't but Jesus can

Mark 9:14-29
Jesus said "O unbelieving generation",it is mean the disciples unbelieving.
Jesus said to the boy's father, "Everything is possible for him who believes."
The boy's father exclaimed, "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!"
Jesus healing of a boy with an evil spirit.
This kind can come out only by pray (and fast).
The evil spirit thrown him into fire or water to kill him from the boy was childhood.
Why?
The teacher of the law and arguing with disciples. What they arguing: disciples could not drive out the spirit, but Jesus could.
I can't but Jesus can.
The symptoms described here attributed to an evil spirit by Jesus's contemporaries同時代的, sound like a case of epilepsy( which modern medicine can treat but not cure)
The disciples fail because of their lack of faith.
Yet Jesus does not turn the child away because his father's faith is limited. In line with the beliefs of the time, Jesus commands the spirit to leave the boy, and he is healed. The key to success is prayer.
How?
Jesus can do everything when we believe in Him. We can do what Jesus does with pray, sometime needs fast. I can't but Jesus can even our faith is limited.
Don't lost faith when I saw the situation of Taiwan, but look upon Jesus, my hope is in hands of the Lord.

The kingdom of God with power is with us in our daily life

Mark 9:1-13
See the kingdom of God come with power. Success last talk to crowd and his disciples in Chap 8.
Jesus transfigured before Peter, James and John at a high mountain.
They saw the real image of Jesus in heaven with Moses and Elijah, and heard God's voice," This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him."
They discussing what "rising from the dead" meant.
High mountain may have been 2700 m/9000 ft Mt Hermon, 19 km/12 miles north-eat of Caesarea. Mt Tabor, another possibility, would have meant a journey south.
The special glimpse of his glory, given to the inner ring of three, must have been tremendously reassuring through all that lay ahead. Moses (Israel's great law-giver) an Elijah (the first great prophet) converse with Jesus, and the subject is his coming death. From now Jesus will talk more about his suffering and death.
Why?
Everyone believed in Jesus will see the kingdom of God come with power, kingdom of God is in our heart, in every believer's heart. The power can transform life of a man, like real man and like Jesus.
We will transfigure to another shape when we left this world.
Listen to Jesus' word is the command of the Lord, He is Son of God, once more an evidence of Peter and John and James.
Rising from the dead they didn't understand at that moment, later under the Holy Spirit inspiration, they understood it, Jesus is the Messiah.
Peter wants to prolong the present moment. If Moses and Elijah will stay if they make shelters for them.
How?
Most significant power of kingdom of God I had experience is the healing of my stomach and my life transform. The transform of life is the most one but usually it easy be forgotten. The kingdom of God is with us in our daily life.

Criteria of a disciple of Jesus

Mark 8:27-38
Jesus asked his disciples "Who do you say I am?"
It is the first time Jesus told his followers that he will suffer death, and afterwards rise again.
Whoever wants to be my disciple must 1)deny themselves and 2)take up their cross and 3)follow me. --> 1)Give up all my own honor, property and time 2)endure the stress of environment and suffer the mock and difficult, even dangerous 3)follow what Jesus did, humble yourself.
For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it.
What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?  NO, it is nothing when lost soul.
If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.
Why?
Jesus told them the real eternal life and how to get this eternal life, and the criteria of his disciple.
Follow Jesus is a mission not a easy journey, but the destination is honor and joy.
Ashamed of Jesus won't follow him, if follow Jesus do not afraid to be ashamed for Jesus is with us.
Our life in this world is short and temporary like a journey will end.
Lost life for Jesus and for gospel means follow Jesus and preach gospel even lost his life will gain eternal life in the heaven.
How?
Follow Jesus has to forsake all of my own and do what Jesus has done, to be his shape of behavior. Can I do it? I don't know, I will try to do it, Please give me faith and strength to follow you, O Lord.

Look at the spiritual meaning instead of physical matter

Mark 8:11-26
The Pharisees came and began to question Jesus, to test him, they asked him for a sign from heaven. He sighed deeply and said,'Why does this generation ask or a miraculous sign?
Be careful, Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod.
Do you have eyes but fail to see, and ears but fail to hear?
Jesus healed a blind man and sent him home saying, "don't go into the village."
Why?
Pharisees follow the rules and tradition of the Temple, but forsake the love and lost the real meaning of the God. They didn't believe in Jesus, they asked miraculous sign, looks reasonable, but it is the mind of human being, to follow Jesus need the faith, Jesus remind them don't be contaminated by the yeast of Pharisees for their mind and logic.
Jesus warning them "Don't you have eyes but fail to see..." Don't they recognize Jesus is Messiah.
Jesus encourage them look at the spiritual meaning, don't look at the material food or physical matter.
Jesus did as Isaiah had predicted, so with the coming of God's kingdom the blind see and the deaf hear.
How?
Do I seeking for a sign from the Lord? Yes, I do, but I have known that the Lord have given me many signs to show His love and compassion on me. I hope the Lord can give me another sign to show me the way for I am afraid I misunderstood the meaning of the Lord.
Look at the spiritual meaning instead of physical matter.

He does everything well

Mark 7:24-8:10
People kept talking about what Jesus has done on them. "He has done everything well", "He even make the deaf hear and the mute speak."
The Syrophoenician woman begged Jesus to drive the demon out of her daughter.
Jesus told her "First let the children eat all they want, for it is not right to take the children;s bread and toss it to their dogs."
"Yes, Lord", she replied, "but even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs." Jesus told her, "For such reply, you may go; the demon has left your daughter.
Once again Jesus has compassion for these people, feeds the four thousands people.
Why?
Mark's account moves from the idea of clean and unclean foods to that of 'clean(Jews) and 'unclean' people(non-Jews). God's kingdom is inclusive包容性.
Jesus preach gospel to the Jews first, but he also has compassion to the non-Jews. Jesus told the woman was based on his social custom or culture environment.
The woman knew she is non-Jews, but she knew Jesus can drive out demon from her daughter. So she reply in humble herself.
More humble and more faith when begged to Jesus, the miracle from Jesus made more powerful.
How?
Humble myself and with faith come to Jesus and pray to Him. He has done everything well, He does everything well. Do I has faith when I pray to the Lord?

Rituals and clean heart

Mark 7:1-23
These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.
Corban, the tradition, let man do not longer do anything for his father or mother. Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down.
Nothing that enters a man from the outside can make him 'unclean'. For it doesn't go into his heart but into his stomach, and then out of his body.
What comes out of a man is what makes him 'unclean'. Evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly.
Why?
The washing rituals had to do with religious 'cleanness', not simply hygiene or table manners. But it is possible for the observance of tradition to empty God's plain command of all meaning.
Jesus points out that humanity's real problem is not dirty hands but the deep-down pollution of mind, which no amount of washing can clean. The concept is so radical (the idea of clean and unclean foods is so much part of Jewish thinking) that even the disciples need further explanation.
Some traditions are good, but have to know does it taught by the God, don't because of the tradition violent the words of God, honor the name of God is more important than any tradition.
How?
Worship the Lord with our heart, the rituals are good but it could not replace the purpose to honor the name of Lord and obey His commands. Clean and unclean is depends on our heart, Holy and non-Holy is rely on the spirit of the Lord.

Amazing God

Mark 6:45-56
Jesus dismissed the crowd and made his disciple get into the boat and go on ahead of him to Bethsaida, he went up on a mountainside to pray.
Jesus walking on the lake about the fourth watch of night. his disciple saw him thought he was a ghost and cried out.
Jesus told them "Take courage! It is I. Don't b afraid." He climbed the boat with them, the wind died down.
They were completely amazed, for they had not understood about the loaves; their hearts were heartened.
It was some time between 3AM and 5AM.
Why?
Again it is the disciples' need that calls out Jesus' love.
Jesus again demonstrates his supreme power over creation: he is Lord of wind and water.
Jesus need time alone to pray with God.
Disciples did not understand that why Jesus did the miracle of  five loaves and two fishes. They though they did not bring the loaves with them, they did not know Jesus is the Son of God. They knew Jesus has supreme power over water and wind and has power to heal sick.
Walking on the water let people thought he was a ghost for no one could walk on the water. Jesus is the Son of God who came from heaven to be a man.
Jesus is amazing God. Jesus did new things that we did not know before. He does miracles that beyond our imagination and mind.
How?
Jesus is amazing God, he has supreme power over nature and he does miracles beyond our minds and ways. Don't limit the capability of what the Lord will made on us. I need to pray everyday alone.

How many loaves do you have?

Mark 6:30-44
Jesus saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because thy were like sheep without a shepherd. Jesus went to a solitary place to rest with his disciples.
It was late in the day, there was a remote place, disciples suggested "Send the people away to surrounding countryside.."
Jesus asked," How many loaves do you have?
Five - and two fish.
All the people sit down in groups pf hundreds and fifties.
Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, Jesus thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to his disciples to set before the people.
Why?
The Twelve report back, and Jesus sees their need for rest and a time away from the incessant demands of the crowds His plan is foiled - yet instead of being annoyed or irritable with the pursuers, his heart goes out to them, Jesus meets their hunger for teaching and for food.
Jesus loves those people for they like sheep without a shepherd, they don't know the right way, they are searching for physical healing and living only.
Jesus loves us, not only our spiritual needs but also our living needs.
How many do you have? Even five loaves and tow fishes, God can do hundreds time of the miracle to meet our needs.
Jesus needs our devotion heart, then he can do miracle on us.
How?
How many loaves do I have and like to devote it to the Lord?  Love includes spiritual and physical supporting to others.

Don't be a puzzled man

Mark 6:14-29
King Herod heard Jesus, Jesus' name  had well know, he believed Jesus is John the Baptist raised from the dead.
Herod killed John the Baptist because John said righteous words, he should not married his brother's wife. Hero feared John and protected him, so he was greatly puzzled; yet he liked to listen to him. Herod is a selfish man and don't like anyone criticize him.
Many people says about Jesus, He is Elijah, He is a prophet like one of the prophets of long ago.
The context of this story is the question of who Jesus is.
Why?
Gild and superstition make Herod Antipas think Jesus is John come to life again. Herod had divorced his own wife to marry Herodias, wife of his half-brother Philip. John had denounced this a incest, and been imprisoned for his pains. But Herodias wanted to still the preachers' tongue permanently and did not miss the opportunity when it came.
It is a danger mind of puzzle to a man follow the Jesus.
How?
Am I a puzzled man, sometimes when I want to purchase something or make decision I usually fall into puzzle, may the Lord give me direction, does it allow in the words of the Lord, does it is needed to me or it is good for my personal desire? Like where I should go next year.

Follow Jesus with faith in Him

Mark 6:1-13
Many people amazed at Jesus teach in the synagogue in his home-town. But they took offense at him.
Jesus was amazed at their lack of faith in his home-town. He could not do any miracles there.
Jesus sent the Twelve out two by two and gave them authority over evil spirits. They went out and preached that people should repent.
They drove out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil and healed them.
Why?
Jesus' miracles are done in the faith peoples. Lack of faith, no miracle be done. Won'e listen to the word of God, have not chance to get the eternal live.
Amazed at teach, but took offense at Jesus, rebellion heart.
It was not in line with Jesus' purpose to make a display of his powers in order to convince skeptics.
Jesus taught twelve disciples let them have authority over demons, to preach people should repent, this is the first gospel action in his disciple. It is action does like Jesus did.
How?
Following what Jesus has done, but we can do more than Jesus for Holy Spirit is come with us from the Lord. What we need is the faith, and we do the right thing as God told us. Our pray will be response from the God.
