Luke 16:19-31
The rich man and Lazarus had different life manner in the world, but when they died, there is opposite living manner between them.
Anguish in Hades and comforted in Abraham's side.
If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.
This story is the only 'named' character in Jesus' story. Jesus may have taken a popular folk tale, using it in his own way.
The scenes are vividly pictured: a rich man with everything, a poor man with nothing. Yet Lazarus goes to bliss, his head resting against the greatest father Abraham at the heavenly feast. Justice has been done and there is no changing it
Why?
Those words are bound to make Luke's readers think of Jesus' own resurrection.
Hedes陰間is different with gehenna地獄. Hades is unbeliever dead and waiting for the great white Throne Judgement. Soul in Hades has feeling, memory and sensitivity. After the the great white Throne Judgement, evildoers and unbelievers will be in the lake of fire; Gehenna.
Jesus is the one who rose from the dead. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
How?
Don't desire has the living style of rich man, live under the blessing of the Lord is the best one in my life. Comforted and peace life in the world and in heaven is my desire.
