1 Kings 5:13-18
King Solomon conscripted laborers from all Israel—thirty thousand men. Solomon had seventy thousand carriers and eighty thousand stone cutters in the hills. as well as thirty-three hundred foremen who supervised the project and directed the workers.
The craftsmen of Solomon and Hiramand workers from Byblos cut and prepared the timber and stone for the building of the temple.
Byblos : About 32Km up the coast from Beriut, Byblos was famous for its craftsmen. The Greek word byblos = book (hence English 'Bible') comes from 'Byblos', the city that made paper from Egyptian papyrus(紙莎草).
Why?
Solomon conscripted laborers prepared the timber and stone for the building of the temple. Totally, there were one eighty thousand men and included different country laborers and craftsmen.
Many people involved to build the temple, it is a great instruction. For the name of the Lord.
How?
What I can do to involve in building the church? Not the building but the Honor of God's kingdom. Commit myself to the Lord to honor his Holy name.
