Mark 6:1-6
Prophet without honor.
What's this wisdom that has been given him, that he even does miracles! Isn't this the carpenter? Isn't this Mary's son and the brother of James, Joseph? Aren't his sisters here with us? And they took offense at him.
Jesus said to them, "Only in his hometown, among his relatives and in his own house is a prophet without honor." And he was amazed at their lack of faith.
I Jesus home town it is not a case of 'local boy makes good' but 'who does this jumped-up carpenter think he is?' It was not in line with Jesus' purpose to make a display of his powers in order to convince skeptics.
Why?
Jesus hometown are familiar with his family so they look down all men their include Jesus.
Even Jesus has wisdom to teach them but they still insist not confess their sins and give honor to Him.
Jesus does not make effort to convince skeptics. So if they do not faith in Jesus let them do what they like.
How?
How hard of man's heart! Jesus is my way, my truth and my life!

Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.
Mark 5:21-43
Who touch my clothes? Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. He said to her,"Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering."
Don't be afraid; just believe. The child is not dead but asleep.
Jesus took her by the hand and said to her,"Talitha koum!". Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around. At this they were completely astonished.
The woman tries not to advertise her presence, because the bleeding makes her polluted and untouchable to her follow Jews. As a woman is in any case regarded as a 'second class citizen'. Jesus' cloak has no magic properties. He knows the difference between the casual contact of the crowd and someone reaching out in need. The woman's faith not only leads to her physical healing; it is saves her.
The incident must have encouraged Jairus. The fact that this synagogue official, a big man in the local community, came to Jesus shows that not all religious leaders were against him. Because of his trust in jesus his little girl is brought back to life. Jesus has power over life and death.
Why?

Jesus loves me
MARK 5:1-20
Night and day among the tombs and in the hills he would cry out and cut himself with stones.
Then the people began to plead with Jesus to leave their region. For people more like their pigs,rather than demon possessed man be freed.
Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.”,
Crossing the lake brings Jesus into non-Jewish territory. The man sheltering among the burial-caves is a pitiful sight - a fragmented personality at the mercy of hundred conflicting impulses; totally incapable of a normal life. But Jesus has authority over wild elements and wild people;the picture in verse 15is of total transformation. The exorcism is followed by mischief and disturbance,as the herb of pigs runs heading into the lake - a sight which must have convinced the man that his tormentors had really gone for good.
Why?
Demon makes man distortion. Lost their mind and humanity. This is the purpose of devil.

Jesus calms a great storm
Mark 4:35-41
“Let us go over to the other side
Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”
Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”
Sudden storm sometimes whip Lake Galilee into fury. This story shows Jesus power over nature as he calms the furious elements. His quiet confidence contrasts sharply with the disciples' fear,first of the power of the storm,then of the greater power of Jesus. 'Who is this man?'
Why?
Jesus is son of the God. He has power over the nature.
Jesus knows what we are fearing, he calms down the wind and wave. Jesus gives us the peace and comfort our heart.
How?
Give praise to Jesus, trust in Him. Rely on Jesus freely.

Mark 4:21-34
For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open.
Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.”
“This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.
It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth.
The lamp, Good news is for sharing.
The growing seed. The farmer sows his seed,as Jesus and his followers sow the seed of God's kingdom. But it is God who determines the coming of his kingdom.
Why?
The consequence of listening to God's word, some results are not the purpose of Jesus.
Good news is for sharing, so it couldn't be hidden.
God's news spread to many only the chosen one can understand and growing up. It's the work of the Lord, we do our duty.
How?

Good soil for the coming seed
Mark 4:1-20
Jesus talk about the mystery of the kingdom of God.
A sower went out to sow. The sower sows the word.
Fell by the wayside: Satan comes immediately take away.
Fell on stony ground: no root in themselves,persecution arises for the word's sake,they stumble.
Fell among thorns: the cares of this world,the deceitfulness of riches, and desires for other things.and it becomes fruitful.
Fell on good ground: bear fruit.
The seed and the soils. Listening and understanding.
Why?
God's word is seed, if our heard is good land, has prepared,then it will grow up and have fruit. Most people have much desires,cares of this world. There are not fruit of Holy Spirit.
How?
Be aware to listen the word of the Lord and clean my heart either.

快樂
不是所有的問題都解決才有快樂。 生病的人病沒有好就不快樂。 做生意的人沒有賺錢就不快樂了。 感情出問題的人問題沒解決就不快樂了。我們不就是每天都在面對這些問題嗎?我們常常覺得不順心不如意。 如果我們很快樂我們做任何事就會很順心如意！喜樂是良藥，喜樂病就容易好。耶穌是我的供應者，喜樂的人，客人也喜歡，生意容易比較好。耶穌與我同行，我喜樂，對方可以感受到我的愛。恩上加恩的喜樂！

Who is my mother and my brothers?
Mark 3:20-35
Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin."
Who is my mother and my brothers? Whoever does God's will is my brother and sister and mother.
The Pharisees see Jesus as the devil;s agent, despite the transparent goodness of his work. If they were right, Satan would be set on suicide course - as are all who, like the Pharisees, call good evil. They are stubbornly denying the work of God's Spirit, and that makes it impossible for God to forgive them.
Why?
Do not deny the work of the Holy Spirit, it is very important to our life. We can not deceive ourselves.
Jesus is not against his mother, it is once show his real ID is Son of the Lord!
How?
Hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit and obey the word of the Lord!

Stretch out your hand and calm down my heart
Mark 2:23-3:19
Jesus said to Pharisees, "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath."
Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?
He looked around at them in anger and deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to them man, "stretch out your hand." He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored. Then the Pharisees went out and began to plot with the Herosidans how they might kill Jesus.
Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the lake.
Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him. He appointed twelve - designating them apostles - that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach and to have authority to drive out demons.
Jewish interpretation of the commandment to keep the sabbath as a work-free holy day, had hedged it about with so many petty rules and restrictions that its primary purpose was lost.
The day of rest was intended for people's physical and spiritual good, not to deny them food and help. It is a day for doing good and not only in an emergency. Mark reports two clashes over the issue, in the cornfield, when Jesus' disciples are hungry and in the synagogue, a case of human need. Jesus apparent defiance triggers a terrible reaction: a dead-plot against him.
Jesus chose an inner circle of 12 who became counterparts of Jacob's 12 sons, who gave their names to the tribes of Israel.
Why?
Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath, the day of rest is intended for people's physical and spiritual good, not to deny them food and help.

Jesus like withdrew to lake and went up on a mountainside, he keep away from crowd, Jesus need time to calm down and let him more closed to the Lord, instead of be honored by people. He is the king but not the king of people thought.

A paralyzed man walks!
Mark 2:1-22
Immediately Jesus knew in his spirit that this was what they were thinking in their hearts, and he said to them. "Why are you thinking these things? Which is easier: to say to the paralytic, 'You sins are forgiven', or to say,''Get up, take your mat and walk'?. But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins..."
Asked Levi follow Jesus, It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.
Jesus is like the bridegroom and new wine, so he does not teach them fasting. but when he be taken from them, and on that day they will fast.
Here it is the initiative, and faith, of his friends that leads to the man's healing, Jesus' action demonstrates his power in both physical and spiritual realms. When he says to word, the man is healed. When he says the word, the man is forgiven. In both cases something really happens.
Levi is an outsider, an unsuitable friend for nay respectable Jewish teacher. His dinner guests are equally beyond the pale.
Why?
There is not righteous in the world, if anyone think he is righteous who is liar and more sins on him.
Jesus is God who knows people thinking in their heart.
Jesus has the authority on both Physical and Spiritual.
All of us are sinner we need doctor to get rid of our sins. Jesus is the way and the hope and the truth.
How?
Be honest come to Jesus and has faith on Him, Jesus will free us from paralyzed spirit and physical body.

This is why I have come

Jesus drives out an evil Spirit, people in the synagogue were amazing Jesus teaching and with authority.
Jesus heals many sick and demon-possessed men. The demons knew who he was.
When Simon and his companions went to look for Jesus, and when they found him, they exclaimed: Everyone is looking for you!" Jesus replied, "Let us go somewhere else - to the nearby villages - so I can preach there also. This is why I have come."
A man with leprosy was healed by Jesus. he went out and began to talk freely, spreading the news. As a result, Jesus could no longer enter a town openly but stayed outside in lonely places.
Any Jewish man could be called on to explain the readings from the Scriptures in a synagogue service. What impressed those who heard Jesus was his authority: unlike other teachers he did not quote or rely on the authority of others.
The first recognition pf Jesus as 'the Holy One of God' comes from a man possessed, and Jesus immediately tries to keep his identity secret. He exercise his power for good over the forces of evil, first by muzzling the voice, then by healing the man. again, when he heals the sick he forbids the demons to speak. And the man with the skin-disease is warned not to tell of his cure. In face he disobeys and the publicity restricts Jesus' movement. But is this the only reason why Jesus tells people not to reveal his true identity? Why make secret of the fact that he is the Messiah?
The reason seems to lie in the wrong ideas about Messiah and his mission that were current at the time. The people were expecting a political leader to free them from the Romans. Jesus needed time to explain the kind of kingdom he had come to inaugurate(開幕) : it was something even his close followers would find hard to grasp.
Why?
Jesus needed time to explain his kingdom is not most Jewish wanted. Jesus is the Son of God, so he has authority can drives out an evil Spirit, and Jesus fully understand the word of the Lord, the Scripture.
Jesus comes for give the way of man, Jesus came is not for his benefit or gain much more. So went out to preach his message.
Do I remember what is my mission from the Lord? Preach good news to others and give good witness to other in my daily life.
How?
Remember I am a Christian, son of the Lord. Do something for the Lord!

變像山的啟示

恭喜恭喜意思是你還活著！過年如此，過逾越節也是如此。
那天耶穌認為他們懂所以告訴他們未來的事，但是彼得
拒絕接受。本來有神的靈，忽然轉為撒旦的靈。
因為自我的想法出現了。
1.以賽亞…聖殿中的異象…差遣
2.撒加利雅…聖殿的禱告…
3.哥尼流…禱告的人…外邦人的差遣
4.摩西…荊棘地的對話…埃及的差遣
1.三人的對話
2.彼得的無知言語
3.雲彩中出來的聲音
1：太16 你是基督，是永生神的兒子
摩西，以利亞 重點式的談話，卻是門徒所不解，並拒絕接受
聖靈充滿不是生命，聖靈的果子才是生命。

他卻不知道神的格局與計劃
他只知道是世界的格局…羅得的死結。
不要想征服世界，我們只會被世界同行化。

The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believer the good news
Mark 1:9-15
At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. As Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: "You are my Son, whom I love with you I am well pleased."
At once the Spirit sent him out into the desert, and he was in the desert 40 days, being tempted by Satan.
After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. "The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believer the good news!
Galilee, though subject to Rome, was under the jurisdiction of a 'native' ruler: Herod Antipas, one of Herod the Great's four sons. The region lay to the west of Lake Galilee. In Christ's day it was prosperous and densely populated, criss-crossed by Roman military roads and ancient trade routes-north, south, east and west.
Why?

Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him; Mark 1
Mark 1:1-8
as it is written in Isaiah the prophet:“I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way” - “a voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.
And so John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
And this was his message: “After me comes the one more powerful than I, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie.
I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.
Mark's opening sentence - The beginning of the good news of Jesus Christ, the Son of God = packs a real punch. The startling truth is out: the purpose of the Gospel and its message are on the table from the outset.
Mark passes over Jesus' birth and John's early history. For him the good news begins with the adult John, the prophetic voice Isaiah had predicted, crying out from the desert, urging the nation to make ready for God's coming. The res of Mark's account will show that Jesus, the one whose coming John announced is the Messiah, the Son of God.
Why?
Jesus Chris is Messiah, who is written in book of Issiah. So as described in the book there is John who prepare the way for Jesus Christ.
John deliver the message of repentance, baptized by water, but Jesus come deliver the message of life and baptized by Holy Spirit.
How?
Yes I know and confess that Jesus Christ is Son of God!

Historical postscript
Jeremiah 52:1-34
The king of Babylon killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes; he also killed all the officials of Judah. Then he put out Zedekiah's eyes, bound him with bronze shackles and took him to Babylon, where he put him in prison till the day of his death.
There were 4600 people in all from Jerusalem taken into exile by Nebuzaradan the commander of the imperial guard.
Jehoiachin released on the 25 day of the twelfth month. Day by day the king of Babylon gave Jehoiachin a regular allowance as long as he lived, till the day of his death.
This chapter fills out the account of the fall of Jerusalm, the destruction of the Temple, and the deportation(放逐) of the people given in Jeremiah 39. It is almost identical to the story in 2 King 25.
Why?
Because all of the people include officials and kings of Judah did not listen to the word of the Lord, so exile and destruction came upon them. Even the Temple was broken and all the articles in the Temple were taken into Babylon.
It is a clear feature of the down fall in Judah and Jerusalem. It is the result of the Lord's wrath and judgment.
How?
Fear the Lord for God is Almighty God. Be humble before the Lord. Wise man will know the truth and obey his word.

Come out of her, my people! Run for your lives! Run from the fierce anger of the Lord. Do not lose heart or be afraid when rumors are heard in the land.
Even if Babylon ascends to the heavens and fortifies her lofty stronghold, I will send destroyers against her, declares the Lord.
Babylon was God's instrument to punish his people as the Assyrians had been earlier, but the sinful pride of the city calls out for judgment, and God declares that the looters(亂兵)will themselves be looted(洗劫一空). The Babylonian hammer will be hammered. Evil cannot be ignored: judgment will come.
Why?
God asked Israel get out from Jerusalem when Babylonian came, the day is come, God called his people come out of Babylon, for God's judgment will come.

Everyone is senseless and without knowledge
Jeremiah 51:1-40
For Israel and Judah have not been forsaken by their God, the Lord Almighty, though their land is full of guilt before the Holy One of Israel.
The Lord has stirred up the kings of the Medes, because his purpose is to destroy Babylon! The Lord will take vengeance,vengeance for his temple.
Everyone is senseless and without knowledge; every goldsmith is shamed by his idols. The images he makes are a fraud; they have no breath in them. They are worthless, the objects of mockery; when their judgment comes, they will perish.
But while they are aroused, I will set out a feast for them and make them drunk, so that they shout with laughter - then sleep forever and not awake, declares the Lord.
The Medes would pour in on Babylon from the north like the sea. God's people are warned in advance to be out of harm's way when it happens.
Cyrus, at the head of an army of Medes and Persians, took Babylon in 539. In 482 BC the city was destroyed by Xerxes I.
Why?
Israel and Judah are the chosen one by the Lord, so God will not forsake them, but discipline them.
The Lord will take vengeance for his temple and his people, so we do not have to make judgment by ourselves. God will do it in his time.

Summon archers(弓箭手) against Babylon, all those who draw the bow. Encamp all around her; let no one escape. Repay her for her deeds; do to her as she has done. For she has defied the Lord, the Holy One of Israel. Therefore, her young men will fall in the streets; all her soldiers will be silenced in that day,” declares the Lord.
The arrogant one will stumble and fall and no one will help her up; I will kindle a fire in her towns that will consume all who are around her.
It will never again be inhabited or lived in from generation to generation.
Oppression and exile have been the fate of the ordinary people of the Middle East repeatedly down the centuries Jeremiah saw only too clearly the suffering and tragedy that defeat and exile would bring in his own time.
Why?
For Babylonian are arrogant and has defied the Lord, so the anguish grip her and destruction pour on his land.
There is never again be inhabited or lived in from generation to generation. It is a terrible curse and punishment until now.
So the people living in the Middle East repeatedly suffering and tragedy bring in his own time.
How?

For I will forgive the remnant I spare
Jeremiah 50:1-20
Therefor this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel says: I will punish the king of Babylon and his land as I punished the king of Assyria. But I will bring Israel back to their own pasture, and they will graze on Carmel and Bashan; their appetite will be satisfied on the hills on Ephraim and Gilead. In those days, at that time, declares the Lord, "search will be made for Israel's guilt, but there will be none, and for the sins of Judah, but none will be found, for I will forgive the remnant I spare."
The ruins of Babylon, capital of empire in Jeremiah's day, King Nebuchadnezzar's great pride and joy, lie in the desert 90km south of modern Baghdad.
Jeremiah's impressive prophecy was sent with the delegation that went to Babylon in the fourth year of Zedekiah's reign, 6 years before the fall if Jerusalem. It was given a public reading, then sunk in the Euphrates, as Babylon itself would sink before its conqueror.
Why?
What Jeremiah prophecy are comes truth, so we knew Jeremiah is the servant of the Lord. He says the truth, but none believed in him in his days.
God forgive the remnant of Israel who spared totally and free. So God forgive our sins completely through believing Jesus Christ as my Lord.

Hazor will become a jaunt of jackals, a desolate place forever. No one will live there; no people will dwell in it.
I will bring against Elam the four winds from the four quarters of heaven; I will scatter them to the four winds, and there will not be a nation where Elam's exiles do not go. Yet I will restore the fortunes of Elam in days to come.
The tribe of Kedar, descendants of Abraham's son Ishmael,lived as nomads in the Arabian desert. Nebuchadnezzar routed these tribes in 599.

Jeremiah 49:1-27
Concerning the Ammonites.
The days are coming, declares the Lord, "when I will sound the battle cry against Rabbah of the Ammonites; it will become a mound of ruins, and its surrounding villages will be set on fire. Then Israel will drive out those who drove her out, says the Lord.
Yet afterward, I will restore the fortunes of the Ammonites.
Concerning Edom,
I will strip Esau bare; I will uncover his hiding places, so that he cannot conceal himself. His armed men are destroyed, also his allies and neighbors, so there is no one to say, "Leave your fatherless children; I will keep them alive Your widows too can depend on me."
The terror you inspire and the pride of your heart have deceived you, you who live in the clefts of the rocks, who occupy the heights of the hill. Though you build your nest as high as the eagle's from there I will bring you down, declares the Lord.
Concerning Damascus:
I will set fire to the walls of Danascus; it will consume the fortresses of Ben-Hadad.
Ammon was an old enemy of Israel. David disposed of Uriah during a siege of the capital city. Ammon is condemned for seizing Israelite land, but will later be restored.
Edom's judgment will be total.
The Assyrians took the city in Isaiah's time. It suffered further in the centuries that followed.
Why?
Those countries were pride of they have and build nest high and strong. They were against their brother Israelite. So the Lord destroyed them totally. But for God's mercy some of them will be restored.
How?
The Lord is the sovereign Lord over whole the world, no one can escape God's judgment. Keep my way on his righteousness and his light.

Pride, arrogance, insolence and haughtiness of heart are defy the Lord
Jeremiah 48:29-47
We have heard of Moab's pride - how great is her arrogance!- of her insolence,(傲慢) her pride, her heart and the haughtiness of her heart.
In Moab I will put and end to those who make offering on the high places and burn incense to their gods, declares the Lord.
Moab will be destroyed as a nation because she defied(蔑視) the Lord.
Yes I will restore the fortunes of Maob in days to come, declaares the Lord.
Why?
Moab's pride and arrogance, insolence make God's judgment came, and Moab offering on the high places and burn incense to their gods, so God turn them down fall and destroyed these cities.
Moab is hair of Road and Abraham, so God's judgment came.
How?
Do not pride, arrogance and insolence, and be humble before the Lord. For we are nothing without the Lord!

The Moab will be ashamed since you trust in your deeds and riches
Jeremiah 48:1-28
Concerning Moab.
Since you trust in your deeds and riches, you too will be taken captive, and Chemosh will go into exile, together with his priests and officials.
The Moab will be ashamed of Chemosh, as Israel was ashamed when they trusted in Bethel.
How broken is the mighty scepter, how broken the glorious staff!

God is fair in the punishment he metes out for their sins
Jeremiah 46:27-27:7
Do not be afraid Jacob, my servant, for I am with you, declares the Lord. I will not completely destroy you. I will discipline you but only in due measure(適當的措施); I will not let you go entirely unpunished.
A message about the Philistines.
For the day has come to destroy all the Philistines and to remove all survivors who could help Tyre and Sidon. The Lord is about to destroy the Philistines, the remnant from the coasts of Caphtor.
These verses reassure God's people of rescue and return home. God will be fair in the punishment he metes(丈量) out for their sins. metes out(給予)
See also Isaiah 14:28-32. The Philistines occupied the southern coast lands of Canaan from the 12th century on, often warring with the Israelites. Pharaoh Necho controlled Gaza at the time of his march north in 609, but the city often changed hands. Calamity will come on Philistia from the Babylonians in the north.
Nebuchadnezzar must have overrun the philistine cities when he quelled Judah in 587.
Why?

God deals with evil wherever it occurs
Jeremiah 46:1-26
As surely as I live,” declares the King, whose name is the Lord Almighty, “one will come who is like Tabor among the mountains like Carmel by the sea. Pack your belongings for exile, you who live in Egypt, for Memphis will be laid waste and lie in ruins without inhabitant.
The Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: “I am about to bring punishment on Amon god of Thebes, on Pharaoh, on Egypt and her gods and her kings, and on those who rely on Pharaoh.
For Jeremiah, and Isaiah before him, God has charge of the whole world and all that goes on in it. God deals with evil wherever it occurs. These chapters, terrible though they are, contain some of the most magnificent poetry in the book.
V1-12 describe the defeat of Pharaoh Necho by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon at Carchemish in 605.
Verse 13-26 forecast Nebuchadnezzar's invasion of Egypt which took place in 568.
Why?
God is the Lord Almighty who reign over all of the world. His judgment over all universe. Even Egypt is far away from Judah will be punished by God's force through Babylon.
How?
No one can escape the judgment of the Lord, do not serve two Lords for God knows us.

因為你的財寶在那裡，你的心也在那裡
見錢眼開？猶大？基哈西？ ~ 見天開了？司提凡，十一祝福
1.只要積儹財寶在天上；天上沒有蟲子咬，不能銹壞，也沒有賊挖窟窿來偷。因為你的財寶在哪裡，你的心也在那裡。
2.眼睛就是身上的燈。你的眼睛若瞭亮，全身就光明；你的眼睛若昏花，全身就黑暗。你裡頭的光若黑暗了，那黑暗是何等大呢！

“Go ahead then, do what you promised! Keep your vows! But hear the word of the Lord, all you Jews living in Egypt: ‘I swear by my great name,’ says the Lord, ‘that no one from Judah living anywhere in Egypt will ever again invoke my name or swear, “As surely as the Sovereign Lord lives.” For I am watching over them for harm, not for good; the Jews in Egypt will perish by sword and famine until they are all destroyed.
This is what the Lord says: ‘I am going to deliver Pharaoh Hophra king of Egypt into the hands of his enemies who want to kill him, just as I gave Zedekiah king of Judah into the hands of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, the enemy who wanted to kill him.
A Message to Baruch:
“Go ahead then, do what you promised! Keep your vows! This short chapter connects with chapter 26, the writing of the scroll in 605. Baruch shared something of Jeremiah's distress. God promises he will escape the coming slaughter in the 'tearing down' and pulling up of what god has built and planted. That must suffice. This promise comes true in 43:5-6
Why?
People from Judah swear their vows, but God declared with his holy name. Which will come true. It is clear. How foolish those men.
God is the Sovereign Lord of history of all human being!
How?
Pray to the Lord with fear and faith, for we are his children for He is the Sovereign Lord!

Appeal from Egypt
Jeremiah 44:1-19
None of the remnant of Judah who have gone to live in Egypt will escape or survive to return to the land of Judah, to which they long to return and live; none will return except a few fugitives.
All the people living in Lower and Upper Egypt, said to Jeremiah,"We will not listen to the message you have spoken to us in the name of the Lord! We will certainly do everything we said we would: We will burn incense to the Queen of Heaven and will pour out drink offerings to her just as we and out ancestors, out kings and our officials did in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem."
Despite all that has happened in consequence of playing God false, the people still refuse to listen. They will go back to worshipping the 'Queen of heaven', and all will be well again.
We hear no more of Jeremiah after this. Tradition has it he was stoned to death in Egypt.
Why?
Those people who escaped to Egypt did not know what they have done and doing the same detestable things as they did in Judah. So God's angry pour out to them.
How hard those people's heart!
How?
Humble ourself and pray to the Lord do not let me away from the Lord!

Safe place
Jeremiah 43:1-13
Azariah son of Hoshaiahand Johanan son of Kareah and all the arrogant men said to Jeremiah, “You are lying! The Lord our God has not sent you to say, ‘You must not go to Egypt to settle there.’
So Johanan son of Kareah and all the army officers and all the people disobeyed the Lord’s command to stay in the land of Judah.
While the Jews are watching, take some large stones with you and bury them in clay in the brickpavement at the entrance to Pharaoh’s palace in Tahpanhes.
They take Jeremiah and Baruch with them. And as God said, in due course the long arm of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, reaches down into Egypt. According to the Jewish historian Josephus, there were Jews among the captives he took back with him.
Taking to Egypt against his will, Jeremiah enacts his last recorded parable.
Why?
Those official and arrogant men thought Jeremiah is turned to the king of Babylon, and they did not trust in the word of God. They though Egypt is safe place.
How?
Go to anywhere is safe when we are under God's blessing.

God's way is beyond man's wisdom
Jeremiah 42:1-22
Then all the army officers, including Johanan son of Kareah and Jezaniah son of Hoshaiah, approached Jermiah "Pray that the Lord your God will tell us where we should go and what we should do."
Whether it is favorable or unfavorable, we will obey the Lord our God, to whom we are sending you, so that it will go well with us, for we will obey the Lordour God.
Ten days later the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah. ‘If you stay in this land, I will build you up and not tear you down; I will plant you and not uproot you, for I have relented concerning the disaster I have inflicted on you. Do not be afraid of the king of Babylon, whom you now fear. Do not be afraid of him, declares the Lord, for I am with you and will save you and deliver you from his hands.'
If you are determined to go to Egypt and you do go to settle there, then the sword you fear will overtake you there, and the famine you dread will follow you into Egypt, and there you will die.
For all the people's declared willingness to obey God's word, when the message comes telling them to stay put, they disobey.
Why?
They do not really listen to the word of the Lord but seek the word of God to approve their mind. If God's word does not meet their expect they disobey God's word, they take their own mind and walk on their way.
Folllish man do not really seek God but walk on their own way, so they will get the downfall for what they have done.
How?
Pray to the Lord with all my heart and all my mind, listen to the word of God instead of man's idea.
Then all the army officers, including Johanan son of Kareah and Jezaniah son of Hoshaiah, approached Jermiah "Pray that the Lord your God will tell us where we should go and what we should do."

Folllish man do not really seek God but walk on their own way, so they will get the downfall for what they have done.
