The Moab will be ashamed since you trust in your deeds and riches

Jeremiah 48:1-28
Concerning Moab.
Since you trust in your deeds and riches, you too will be taken captive, and Chemosh will go into exile, together with his priests and officials.
The Moab will be ashamed of Chemosh, as Israel was ashamed when they trusted in Bethel.
How broken is the mighty scepter, how broken the glorious staff!
We have heard of Moab's pride- how great is her arrogance! - of her insolence, her pride, her conceit and the haughtiness of her heart,. I know her insolence but it is futile," declares the Lord.
The Moabites occupied the high plateau land of the Dead Sea. Moab, and neighbouring Ammon and Edom, seem to have jouned forces with Judah in rebelling against Nebuchadnezzar. Presumably he dealt with them when he dealt wiht Judah.
Why?
God is righteousness, so Moab trust in his deeds and riches, burn insence to gods, they will be ruined by Nebuchadnezzar either.
How?
Do not trust in our deeds and riches.
