Isaiah 55:01-13
Invitation of thirsty.
“Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare.
Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near.
As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty.
This will be for the Lord’s renown, for an everlasting sign, that will endure forever.
Come to me, 'God's invites.' 'I make no charge.' And his responsive people, in turn, call the nations to come.
The vision in these later chapters of Isaiah goes far beyond the events of the actual return from exile, the restoration of Israel which took place then merges into a vision of the final glorious day when sin and sorrow will be no more, and the whole Israel of God will be for ever at home with the Lord.
Why?
You have no momey, come , buy and eat. It is need cost but Jesus Christ has paid for us, so we may come to the Lord freely, without coast, without money.
Oh Man! Why takes effort on what does not satisfy? People though water and money can satisfy our heart. But only God has the everlasting water and food to us.
God's word like snow and rain come down from heaven and do not return, so God's word is faithful and could be trusted.
God is inviting everyone come to Him. When we turn to the Lord, it will not return to God empty. God has given me prosper and plenty. I wll praise to the Lord forever!
How?
God has given what he promised, for I follow his way and I will continue do what God's delight.
