Numbers 27:1-23
The daughters of Zelophehad son of Hepher, Why should our father’s name disappear from his clan because he had no son? Give us property among our father’s relatives.
Say to the Israelites, ‘If a man dies and leaves no son, give his inheritance to his daughter. If he has no daughter, give his inheritance to his brothers. If he has no brothers, give his inheritance to his father’s brothers. If his father had no brothers, give his inheritance to the nearest relative in his clan, that he may possess it. This is to have the force of law for the Israelites, as the Lord commanded Moses.
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go up this mountain in the Abarim Range and see the land I have given the Israelites. After you have seen it, you too will be gathered to your people, as your brother Aaron was, for when the community rebelled at the waters in the Desert of Zin, both of you disobeyed my command to honor me as holy before their eyes.”
Moses said to the Lord, “May the Lord, the God who gives breath to all living things, appoint someone over this community to go out and come in before them, one who will lead them out and bring them in, so the Lord’s people will not be like sheep without a shepherd.”
Take Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit of leadership, and lay your hand on him. Have him stand before Eleazar the priest and the entire assembly and commission him in their presence. Give him some of your authority so the whole Israelite community will obey him.
The law said that land passed from father to eldest son, keeping it in the tribe. But Zelophehad left only daughters. Women could not normally inherit in other ancient Near Eastern countries, but in Israel the ruling is given that , failing sons, daughters may inherit. But they must marry within their own tribe to safeguard the tribal inheritance.
Moses' life is almost over, as he looks out over the promised land. Joshua, his right-hand man and one of the two faithful spies is God's choice of successor. He is now invested with authority to lead the nation in Mose's place.
Why?
God cares tribe and family whose daughters has the authority to get inheritance among their father's relatives.
This is the first law built among Near Eastern countries.
Moses life is come to over, but he is keep in mind how his people going. Asked the Lord give them a leader to the promised land. Like sheep without a shepherd.
Moses lay his hand one Joshua, and he has some authority of Moses. Joshua a man in whom is the spirit of leadership.
How?
Through lay hand over him, leader gets the spiritual authority over the community.

Between two census took 40 years
Numbers 26:1-65
After the plague the Lord said to Moses and Eleazat son of Aaron, the priest, "Take a census of the whole Israelite community by families - all those twenty years old or more who are able to serve in the army of Israel."
Reuben less 2700 men
Simeon less 37000 men.
Other tribes are not changed too much.
Not one of them was among those counted by Moses and Arron the priest when they counted the Israelites in the Desert of Sinai. For the Lord had told those Israelites they would surely die in the desert, and not one of them was left except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.
The numbers are slightly fewer than in the first census (one whole generation has been replaced by another). The reason for the census, this time, was so that the land could be shared out fairly according to the size of the different groups.
Why?
God's word has been done for Israelites did not listened to God's word, then they will know that God is the Lord.
Second census is prepare for the coming war and the land could be shared out fairly.
Number of Reuben and Simeon was less more for they were dead for the plague etc.
Two census between Sinai and Shittim, their were replaced by another generation. It passed 40 years in desert.
How?
Do not waste the time in desert, be humble and knowing the Lord is my way, hurry to get blessing from the Lord.

Zealous for the honor of God
Numbers 25:1-18
While Israel was staying in Shittim, the men began to indulge in sexual immorality with Moabite women, who invited them to the sacrifices to their gods. The people ate the sacrificial meal and bowed down before these gods. So Israel yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor. And the Lord’s anger burned against them.
The Lord said to Moses, “Phinehas son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, the priest, has turned my anger away from the Israelites. Since he was as zealous for my honor among them as I am, I did not put an end to them in my zeal. Therefore tell him I am making my covenant of peace with him. He and his descendants will have a covenant of a lasting priesthood, because he was zealous for the honor of his God and made atonement for the Israelites.”
It was at Balaam's instruction that the Midianite women brought Israel low at Peor. And he paid for it with his life.
With the death of those who worshipped Baal, the last of the generation who had come out of Egypt (all but Moses, Joshua and Caleb) perished.
The interchange of terms sounds confused, but from late patriarchal times there was a good deal of overlap in the use of the terms 'Midianite', 'Ishmaelite', 'Medanite', 'Moabite'.
Why?
Once again Israelite fall into the sin of indulge in sexual immorality with Moalite women.
There were not only sexual immorality but also yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor, so the Lord's anger burned against them. There were 24000 people died.
Zealous for the honor of God is needed to Christian. Only zealous for the honor can focus on the Lord and hate the sins.
God make a covenant with descendant of Eleazar a lasting priesthood. So later Aaron descendant was replaced by descendant of Eleazar.
How?
Most time we are struggling among the matter of the world, be zealous for the honor of my God, God is the blessing of my life. When we really love the Lord we will understand the heart of the Lord and zealous for the honor of God

I could not do anything of my own, to go beyond the command of the Lord
Numbers 23:27-24:25
When Blaam looked out and saw Israel encamped tribe by tribe, the Spirit of God came on him and he spoke his message: How beautiful are your tents, Jacob, your dwelling places, Israel! God brought them out of Egypt; they have the strength of a wild ox. They devour hostile nations and break their bones in pieces.
Then Balak’s anger burned against Balaam. Balaam answered Balak, “Did I not tell the messengers you sent me. Even if Balak gave me all the silver and gold in his palace, I could not do anything of my own accord, good or bad, to go beyond the command of the Lord—and I must say only what the Lord says’?
Balaam's 4,5,6 and 7th message to Edom, Amalek, Kenites and Cyprus.
Edom will be conquered; Seir, his enemy will be conquered but Israel will grow string. A ruler will come out of Jacob and destroy the survivors of the city.
Three tunes they go through the same ritual. Three times Balaam blesses Israel, to the increasing anger of Balak. The fourth oracle tops all predicts a victorious future king who will defeat all Israel's enemies.
Why?
Through Balaam God blessed Israel and prophecies the future of enemies of Israel.
God's word will be done in God's time. God is the Almighty Lord beyond all. So Balaam could not do anything of hims own, or go beyond the command of the Lord. He must say only what the Lord says.
How about us? a Christian must not go beyond the command of the Lord.
How beautiful are your tents, Jacob, your dwelling places, Israel. How beautiful are your tents, anyone who follow the word of the Lord, your dwelling places, be blessed one!
How?
Praise the Lord Almighty God, I like to be the follower of the Lord, for God's blessing beyond all on the world.

I must do whatever the Lord says
Numbers 22:41-23:26
Balak took Balaam up to Bamoth Baal, and from there he could see the outskirts(郊區) of the Israelite camp.
Balaam answered,"Must I not speak what the Lord puts in my mouth?"
Then Balak said to him, "Come with me to another pace where you can see them; you will not see them all but only the outskirts of their camp."
Balaam answered, "Did I not tell you I must do whatever the Lord says?"
And neither bribe nor threat will budge(讓步) him from the truth as God reveals it to him.
Why?
Balak try to find some way that God will let him said blessing word to Moab and cursing word to Israelite, then he can gain much treasure. But the Lord didn't allowed him speak other word which was not God's meaning.
I must speak what the Lord puts in my mouth. And I tell you I must do whatever the Lord says.
Standing position does not change the word of the Lord.
How?
I must do whatever the Lord says, speak what the Lord puts in my mouth.

Donkey said to Balaam
Numbers 22:1-40
Now Balak son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites, and Moab was terrified because there were so many people. Indeed, Moab was filled with dread because of the Israelites.
‘A people that has come out of Egypt covers the face of the land. Now come and put a curse on them for me. Perhaps then I will be able to fight them and drive them away.’” But God said to Balaam, “Do not go with them. You must not put a curse on those people, because they are blessed. ”
But Balaam answered them, “Even if Balak gave me all the silver and gold in his palace, I could not do anything great or small to go beyond the command of the Lord my God. Now spend the night here so that I can find out what else the Lord will tell me. ” That night God came to Balaam and said, “Since these men have come to summon you, go with them, but do only what I tell you.”
The donkey said to Balaam, “Am I not your own donkey, which you have always ridden, to this day? Have I been in the habit of doing this to you?” “No,” he said. Then the Lord opened Balaam’s eyes, and he saw the angel of the Lord standing in the road with his sword drawn. So he bowed low and fell facedown.
Well, I have come to you now,” Balaam replied. “But I can’t say whatever I please. I must speak only what God puts in my mouth.”
The victorious return to camp the doorstep of Balance king of Moab. Who with Medianite support, send post-heste to Pethor on the Euphrates for Balaam the diviner to come and curse his enemies. It was a routine business arrangement for thef prophet, in a day when everyone believed in the power of words to influence events.
What is surprising is the disclosure that the source of Balaam's knowledge is God himself.
Why?
Balaam's prophet job was come from the Lord, so he could be trusted before the king. What he blessed will be blessing. So as we a Christian says will be confirmed by the Lord if we follow God's word.
Ballam still like the bride from king, so he seek the way that God might permitted. Finally God allowed his way to king but limited what he says. Why a man still find the way to get the bribe and test ourselves. It is the sins inside our heart.
How?
Don't let me under temptation, but with pure heart, follow the way God has arranged for me.

Do not be afraid of him for I have handed him over to you
Numbers 21:21-35
Defeat of Sihon and Og.
Sihon would not let Israelite pass through his territory. He mustered his entire army and marched out into the desert against Israel. When he reached Jahaz, he fought with Israel.
The Lord said to Moses,"Do not be afraid of him for I have handed him over to you, with his whole army and his land."
So they struck him down, together with his sons and his while army, leaving them no survivors. And they took possession of his land.
Once again Israel requests safe-passage and is refused, but this time they fight and win. he Amorite King Sihon has taken the lands of Moab and Sihon has taken the lands of Moab and rules from the Arnon in the south to the Jabbok in the north, from his capital city of Heshbon. Continuing north the Israelites defeat Og of Bashan at Edrei.
Why?
Israelite took victory when they entered the land of Sihon and Og. God promised them so they don't need to escape and go away but fight with them.
This is a new generation of Israelite they have army of younger men.
Do not be afraid of them for I have handed him over to you. This is the word of the Lord so do it.
Under the blessing of the Lord, we are brave and with confidence.
How?
May my soul and my heart can hear the word of the Lord to do the right things.

Look at it and live
Numbers 21:4-20
But the people grew impatient on the way; they spoke against God and against Moses, and said, “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? There is no bread! There is no water! And we detest this miserable food!” Then the Lord sent venomous snakes among them; they bit the people and many Israelites died.
The Lord said to Moses, “Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.”
From there they continued on to Beer, the well where the Lord said to Moses, “Gather the people together and I will give them water.” Then Israel sang this song.
The venomous snakes are seen as punishment: but a remedy is provided. The people had only to look at the bronze snake to be healed.
Jesus reminds Nicodemus of this incident, saying that he too must be lifted up, so that eternal life.
Why?
impatient : because of the target is not reached, people were hard and still thinking the past experience, they could not forget before so they were complain and grew impatient.
Give up fully is the way to accept new promise from the Lord.
Venomous snakes is the trouble in our life but God provides the bronze snake, when look at the bronze snake to be healed, like look at the Jesus Christ will be saved and healed.
How?
Lift up our eyes look at Jesus Christ is the way to be saved! Give up our mind, idea and haughty attitude.

Israel made vow to the Lord, The Lord listened to Israel's plea
Numbers 20:14-21:3
Moses sent messengers from Kadesh to the king of Edom, saying pass through their country, go along the main road, and if we or our livestock drink any of your water, we will pay for it. We only want to pass through on foot- nothing else.
Then Edom cameout against them with a large and powerful army. Since Edom refused to let them go through their territory, Israel turned away from them.
Aarom was dead on Mount Hor and the entire house of Israel mourned for him thirty days.
Canaanite king of Arad, who heard that Israel was coming along the road to Atharim, he attacked the Israelites and captured some of them. Then Israel made this vow to the Lord:"If you will deliver these people into our hands, we will totally destroy their cities." The Lord listened to Israel's plea and gave the Canaanites over to them.
The Israelites had tried going north, directly into Canaan, against God's orders, and had suffered a punishing defeat. Now they must go east in order to travel north on the far side of the Dead Sea. But Edom stands in the way, deaf to Moses' sweet-talk.
The death of Aaron, Mt Hor may be Jevel Madeira, north-east of Kadesh, on the north-west border of Edom. The traditional site, favored by Josephus, is close to Petra and a long way from Kadesh.
Victory over King Arad is swiftly followed by complaints, as they trek(跋涉) south to the Gulf of Aqaba(the Red Sea) to clear Edom's territory.
Why?
Edom refused the request of Moses across their boundary, so it is the way of the Lord for Israelite. Don't so easy direct enter the Promised land.
Aaron, and important person on the way of Israelite went out from Egypt, he was dead on Mount Hor.
Aaron's dead means a generation is end.
The time of life is under control of the Lord.
This time Israelite learn that ask the Lord before their action to attack enemy.
How?
Ask the way from the Lord before our action to good preparation.

The waters of Meribah
Numbers 20:1-13
Now there was no water for the community, and the people gathered in opposition to Moses and Aaron. They quarreled with Moses.
The Lord said to Moses, "...speak to that rock before their eyes and it will pour out its water. You will bring water out of the rock for the community so they and their livestock can drink."
So Moses took the staff from the Lord's presence, just as he commanded him. He and Aaron gathered the assembly together in front of the rock and Moses said to them, 'Listen, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock?" Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank.
But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron,"Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them. These were the waters of Meribah.
The best part of 38 years has passed since 13:1. At Kadesh, on the borders of Edom, Miriam dies. Miriam, Aaron and Moses will all die in the same year - on the brink of entry into Canaan. Nothing seems to cure the people's grumbles. They were moaning when they first left Egypt. They are moaning still after all the years of god's providing.
The incident in verses 2-13 recalls the similar one at Mt Sinai. Moses' sin seems to lie in the words 'Must we get water...?', as if he and Aaron, not God, brought the water from the rock. How often words spoken in haste are repented at leisure. Because of this, Moses will not lead the people into the land he so longs to enter. Even the greatest of God's servants, after a long lifetime of trust and obedience, can fall.
Why?
Grumbles and quarreled with Moses seems never cease in Israelite community. Even Moses and Aaron were angry with these people and their mission. So Moses did not fully follow the word of God but struck the rock twice instead of once. Moses said the word with complain so God's angry came.
Moses is God's best servant, but he won't be able enter the promised land with community.
Fully follow with the Lord is different with follow part of God's command.
Worship the Lord with all my mind, all my heart and all my strength. This is what the Lord asked us.
How?
God always is right and with love to us, trust in the Lord for He is my God, I am his servant.

The water of cleansing
Numbers 19:1-22
The water of cleansing.
A read heifer without defect or blemish and that has never been under a yoke. Then Eleazar the priest is to take some of its blood on his finger and sprinkle it seven time toward the front of the tent of meeting. While he watches, the heifer is to be burned - its hide, flesh, blood and intestines. The priest is to take some cedar wood, hyssop and scarlet wool and throw them onto the burning heifer. After that the priest and the man who burns it must wash his clothes and bathe himself with water, come into the camp, but he will be unclean till evening.
Whoever touches a human corpse will be unclean for seven days. They must purify themselves with the water on the third day and on the seventh day; then they will be clean.
For the unclean person, put some ashes from the burned purification offering into a jar and pour fresh water over them. Then a man who is ceremonially clean is to take some hyssop, dip it in the water and sprinkle the tent and all the furnishings and the people who were there. He must also sprinkle anyone who has touched a human bone or a grave or anyone who has been killed or anyone who has died a natural death.
The ritual with the read heifer is the remedy for defilement by contact with a dead body, described in verses 11-22. To minimize the risk of accidental defilement, tombs were later painted white.
Why?
Touched dead body means unclean and it may bring some disease or ceremony unclean so the Lord asked them to purify themselves through priest.
The heifer mean remedy for defilement. For sins need remedy to erase.
How?
Keep ourselves from sins and confess our sins before the Jesus Christ is the way to purify ourselves.

Present a tenth of that tithe as the Lord's offering
Numbers 18:20-32
The Lord said to Aaron, "You will have no inheritance in their land, nor will you have any share among them; I am your share and your inheritance among the Israelites. I give to the Levites all the tithes in Israel as their inheritance in return for the work they do while serving at the tent of meeting.
The Lord said to Moses, "Speak to the Levites and say to them: When you receive from the Israelites the tithe I give you as your inheritance, you must present a tenth of that tithe as the Lord's offering. You must present as the Lord's portion the best and holiest part of everything given to you.
By presenting the best part of it you will not be guilty in this matter; then you will not defile the holy offerings of the Israelites, and you will not die."
The Levites are given the nation's tithes (the tenth of all flicks herds and produce, given to God). They in turn give one-tenth to the priests, as their gift to God. What they give must be the best.
Why?
Everyone give their tithe to the Lord, and in turn Levites receive this offering and give the tenth of all they got to the Lord. It is express the heart to observe the Lord and honor the name of the Lord.
Aaron and his tribes priests for they were serving the Lord so the Lord asked them have no inheritance in their land and business. For if they involve in the world, they will lost their mission and holy identity.
How?
To be a Christian have to live Jesus, far away from dirty thing and the darkness in the world. And obey the command to give tithe to the Lord.

Bear the responsibility for offenses connected with the priesthood
Numbers 18:1-19
The Lord said to Aaron,"You, your sons and your family are to bear the responsibility for offenses connected with the sanctuary, and you and your sons alone are to bear the responsibility for offenses connected with the priesthood.
Only you and your sons may serve as priests in connection with everything at the altar and inside the curtain. I am giving you the service of the priesthood as a gift. Anyone else who comes near the sanctuary is to be put to death.
All the holy offerings the Israelites give me I give to you and your sons as your portion, your perpetual share. You are to have the part of the most holy offerings that is kept from the fire. “I give you all the finest olive oil and all the finest new wine and grainthey give the Lord as the firstfruits of their harvest. All the land’s firstfruits that they bring to the Lord will be yours. Everyone in your household who is ceremonially clean may eat it.
But you must not redeem the firstborn of a cow, a sheep or a goat; they are holy. Splash their blood against the altar and burn their fat as a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.
Neither priests nor Levites share in the inheritance of the land" God is their share. Instead, God gives the priests the remainder of all the sacrificial offerings, firstfruits and firsttlings.
Why?
Aaron and his sons are servant of the Lord, so they have not land and business, but only serve the Lord with priesthood. God takes care their living and gives them the offering from Israelite.
Not only meal but also olive oil, grain and all first fruits. So Levites do not worry their living problem, God will supports them.
God also gives them the regulation to serve Him.
Even now minister and pastor will be support by the Christians, for they are the servant of the Lord.
How?
Take care the living of God's servant, they are the chosen one like Aaron and his sons.

The staff is kept in God's sanctuary as a permanent warning
Numbers 17:1-13
Get twelve staffs from them, one from the leader of each of their ancestral tribes.Write the name of each man on his staff. On the staff of Levi write Aaron’s name, for there must be one staff for the head of each ancestral tribe. Place them in the tent of meeting in front of the ark of the covenant law, where I meet with you.
The next day Moses entered the tent and saw that Aaron’s staff, which represented the tribe of Levi, had not only sprouted but had budded, blossomed and produced almonds.
Put back Aaron’s staff in front of the ark of the covenant law, to be kept as a sign to the rebellious. This will put an end to their grumbling against me, so that they will not die.
The Israelites said to Moses, “We will die! We are lost, we are all lost! Anyone who even comes near the tabernacle of the Lord will die. Are we all going to die?”
Like all biblical miracles, the budding, blossoming and fruiting of Aaron's staff has a very practical point. Everyone can see where God's choice falls. There is no more room for dispute. The staff is kept in God's sanctuary as a permanent warning.
Why?
Grumbling against the Lord in Israelite was not stop so God made this staff in God's sanctuary as a permanent warning.
Aaron's staff represented the tribe of Levi, it means only Levi can come to near the sanctuary. Others come near the sanctuary will die.
Yes, we will die! we are lost if anyone comes to the Lord with sins. Jesus is the way to erase the sins to everyone who trust in Him.
How?
Fear the Lord and obey God's command, then we will be saved. For Jesus we are free from the sins.

Let them be a sign to the Israelites
Numbers 16:19-50
But Moses and Aaron fell facedown and cried out, "O God, the God who gives breath to all living things, will you be angry with the entire assembly when only one man sins?"
The Lord said to Moses, "say to the assembly, 'Move away from the tents of Korah, Darah, Darhan and Abiram."
Moses said, "this is how you will know that the Lord has sent me to do all these things and that it was not my idea: If these men die a natural death and suffer the fate of all mankind, then the Lord has not sent me. But if the Lord brings about something totally new, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them, with everything that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the realm of the dead, then you will know that these men have gave treated the Lord with contempt.
And fire came out from the Lord and consumed the 250 men who were offering the incense.
For the censers are holy - the censers of the men who sinned at the cost of their lives. Hammer the censers into sheets to overlay the altar, for they were presented before the Lord and have become holy. Let them be a sign to the Israelites.
But 14,700 people died from the plague , in addition to those who had died because of Korah.
God accepts the truth of Moses' and Aaron's plea, sparing the people. Yet the very next day the whole community opposes the leadership and is subject to God's judgment, to be saved once again by Moses and Aaron.
Why?
People's neck is hard and do not listen to the advice and warning of the Lord and Phosphates.
Leadership from the Lord is honor and holy, no one can challenge it or opposes it.
Be aware the Lord is my God, my am the servant of the Lord, listen to the word of God and walk on God's way is blessing and life.
How?
Let them be a sign to the Israelite, God has given me many signs in my life to remember what God have helped me and pour down his grace and mercy on me.

You Levites have gone too far
Numbers 16:1-18
Koran son of Ishtar and others became insolent and rose up against Moses. With them 250 Israelite men, well-known community leaders who had been appointed members of the council. They came as a group to oppose Moses and Aaron and said to them,”You have gone too far! The whole community is holy, why then do you set yourselves above the Lord’s assembly?”
You Levites have gone too far, Moses said to them.
Moses also said to Koran,” Now listen, you Levites! Isn’t it enough for you that the God of Israel has separated you from the rest of the Israelite community and brought you near himself to do the work at the Lord’s tabernacle and to stand before the community and minister to them?”
Each if them took his censer, put burning coals and incense in it, and stood with Moses and Aaron at the entrance to the tent of meeting.
The unholy alliance of Koran, Dothan and Abiram has a two-pronged attack. No just Moses, this time, but Aaron too.
Korah’s Grievance is Aaron’s monopoly of the priesthood. Is it not enough to serve as Levites. Do you seek the priesthood as well?
Dothan and Abiram challenge Moses on the grounds of high handedness and his failure to bring them into the promised land. But at root the attack is on God, and it is God who puts the rebellion down.
Why?
When people away from the Lord they will oppose the servant of the Lord. They complained Moses’s actions and the real works are done by the Lord, but they focused on the servants Moses and Aaron.
The priesthood is a holy job before the Lord and man, but Koran his group forgot what is their mission and their honor. They challenge the position among Levites. It seems someone serve in the church trying to get the higher position in the church. The real leader of the church is God himself.
Without the Holy Spirit in church their is an organization like others group. No good event or action will be done there.
How?
Be humble, only the Lord is my king, my way and my salvation. Without the Lord I am nothing. Love each other among brothers and sisters.

Remember to obey all my commands
Numbers 15:30-41
“‘But anyone who sins defiantly, whether native-born or foreigner, blasphemes the Lord and must be cut off from the people of Israel. Because they have despised the Lord’s word and broken his commands, they must surely be cut off; their guilt remains on them.
Throughout the generation to come you are to make tassels on the corners of your garments, with a blue cord on each tassel. Then you will remember to obey all my commands and will be consecrated to your God. I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt to be your God.
The seriousness of sabbath-breaking. It was not just the man’s disobedience but his arrogance which put him outside the community of God’s covenant people.
The border of tassels is to remind forgetful Israel of God and his commands.
Why?
God is holy, not one can blasphemes the Lord without punishment. The sinner have to be put to die.
God knew that Israel will forget his word so ordered them must make tassels on the corners of their garment to remind them to obey the word of the Lord.
Obey the word of the Lord is an personal experiences, when we tested the sweet of the mercy of the Lord then we will keep obey his command for their is not one like my God.
How?
He is my God and brought me out of dark to the light and from the sinner to be a child before the Lord!

Offer it as an aroma pleasing to the Lord.
Numbers 15:1-29
whether burnt offerings or sacrifices, for special vows or freewill offerings or festival offerings— then the person who brings an offering shall present to the Lord a grain offering of a tenth of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with a quarter of a hin of olive oil. With each lamb for the burnt offering or the sacrifice, prepare a quarter of a hin of wine as a drink offering. Offer it as an aroma pleasing to the Lord.
Same as prepare a ram, a young bull.
Everyone who is native-born must do these things in this way when they present a food offering as an aroma pleasing to the Lord.
Throughout the generations to come you are to give this offering to the Lord from the first of your ground meal.
One and the same law applies to everyone who sins unintentionally, whether a native-born Israelite or a foreigner residing among you.
The first verse of this chapter stands in total contrast to what has just passed. The instructions that follow are for ‘when you enter the land’. It may be delayed, but it will surely happen!
Verse 1-31 : offerings to be made after the conquest of Canaan.
Why?
God has define the law to his people how to make grain offering when they enter the promised land. Key point is the first archivement from the land are belong to the Lord.
Even the wine could be drink offering and offer it as an aroma pleasing to the Lord.
The willing heart is important than offering.
How?
Honor the name of the Lord with all my heart and all my soul and my strength.

No one who has treated me with contempt will ever see it
Numbers 14:20-45
Not one of those who saw my glory and the signsI performed in Egypt and in the wilderness but who disobeyed me and tested me ten times—not one of them will ever see the land I promised on oath to their ancestors. No one who has treated me with contempt will ever see it.
But because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it.
Not one of you will enter the land I swore with uplifted hand to make your home, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.
For forty years—one year for each of the forty days you explored the land—you will suffer for your sins and know what it is like to have me against you.’ I, the Lord, have spoken, and I will surely do these things to this whole wicked community, which has banded together against me. They will meet their end in this wilderness; here they will die.
Nevertheless, in their presumption they went up toward the highest point in the hill country, though neither Moses nor the ark of the Lord’s covenant moved from the camp. Then the Amalekites and the Canaanites who lived in that hill country came down and attacked them and beat them down all the way to Hormah.
Time and time again Moses stands between Israel and utter destruction. Now his plea involves him in sharing their sentence with them. Instead of going north into Canaan God commands them to go east to Aquaba. But it takes a crushing defeat to make the people take notice.
Why?
If do not listen to the word of the Lord, the consequence will be die and not way to go.
Even Israelite have experienced the work of the Lord and they contempt with the Lord, so the angry of the Lord poured upon them.
How?
God is the awesome God, God is the way and my life.
The Lord is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion
Numbers 14:1-19
The people rebel.
Why is the Lord bringing us to this land only to let us fall by the sword? Surely the Lord won't do this.
Then Moses and Aaron fell face down in front of the whole Israelite assembly gathered there. Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had explored the land, tore their clothes and said to the entire Israelite assembly. If the Lord is pleased with us, he will lead us into that land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us. Only do not rebel against the Lord.
The Lord said to Moses, “How long will these people treat me with contempt? How long will they refuse to believe in me, in spite of all the signs I have performed among them?
Moses said to the Lord, "The Lord is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.’ In accordance with your great love, forgive the sin of these people, just as you have pardoned them from the time they left Egypt until now.”
But the people listened to the ten prophets of doom, with their tales of giants and grasshoppers. God, and the good land, was forgotten. Within sight of the goal, a whole generation cut itself off from all that was promised.
Moses' prayer at this point is staggering Only God's intervention has saved him from death by stoning. Yet here he is, pleading for the life of the stubborn nation that caused him nothing but trouble! He calls on God to remember who he is, turning God's own words to good effect.
Why?
Moses is humble before his people and before the Lord so he and Aaron fell face down in front of the whole Israelite assembly.
Most people of Israelites assembly chose listened to the ten prophets, but refuse to listen to the two. They forgot the Lord who is Almighty God.
Moses has wisdom to save his people, he remember God's love and grace and he used God's word to remind God who he is, turning God's own words to good effect.
How?
Remember that the Lord is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished
